Chapter 330 - Frost

Chapter 32 — Frost

From an internal structural standpoint, Universe 6 and Universe 7 didn't actually differ all that much.

Most of their cosmic geography still corresponded to one another. The only real differences were that some planets had already been destroyed ahead of time due to various incidents and disasters.

Of course, the same thing had happened in Universe 7 as well. Still, when viewed as a whole, the overall layout of the cosmos remained remarkably similar.

For example, Planet Earth in Universe 6 had already been destroyed and erased from existence thousands of years ago.

What made things interesting, however, was this—

The Saiyan race in Universe 6 was still alive and thriving on their original homeworld, Planet Sadala.

At this point in time, none of the Saiyans of Planet Sadala had yet managed to reach the Super Saiyan form.

Even so, a small number of warriors among them had inherited the bloodline of ancient Saiyans.

These individuals were known as bloodthirsty, brutal fighters who lived for battle. When pushed into an extremely intense emotional state, they would transform—their hair turning green, their eyes glowing a vivid blue, their muscles swelling explosively, and their bodies growing far larger than before.

However, in that form, they lost nearly all rational thought and self-awareness. Their pupils vanished, and they became wild, uncontrollable beasts.

Visually, they resembled Super Saiyan 1, and their combat power increased by at least fifty times.

What made it truly terrifying was that as their emotions and rage continued to rise, their power would keep escalating—without any apparent limit.

In Universe 7, there was only one individual who displayed these exact characteristics.

A Saiyan with unparalleled combat talent—

Broly.

Tachibana Kyūjō felt a deep fascination with this particular bloodline. Because of that, Planet Sadala became one of the key locations he absolutely had to visit during his exploration of Universe 6.

— — —

Meanwhile, the mysterious assassin Hit still showed no sign of revealing himself.

Even though Tachibana Kyūjō had already been in Universe 6 for over a month, he hadn't managed to find even the slightest trace of Hit.

Yet today, despite failing to encounter Hit, he instead ran into a notorious antagonist from Universe 6—

Frost.

Frost could be considered an alternate version of Frieza from Universe 7. Both of them belonged to the Frost Demon race, beings known for their terrifying power and their cold, merciless nature.

However, compared to Frieza, Frost was far more cunning—and far better at putting on an act.

In the eyes of the people of Universe 6, Frost was widely known as a "hero of justice."

He had even established a special military force called the Peacekeeping Force, personally leading them to wipe out intergalactic pirate groups in the name of justice.

Thanks to these so-called "achievements," he received the Galactic Peace Contribution Award and was officially appointed as a Peace Ambassador of Universe 6.

But was that really the truth?

Just looking at his appearance and race—nearly identical to Frieza's—and considering that this was a world straight out of an anime story, wasn't it already painfully obvious that characters who looked like this were rarely the good guys?

And indeed, that assumption was correct.

Behind the title of peace ambassador, Frost was actually the mastermind controlling the entire intergalactic pirate network.

From the shadows, he manipulated and commanded every major pirate organization in Universe 6.

He would deliberately ignite wars, then appear as a "hero" to put an end to them. Afterward, he would buy up the war-ravaged planets at dirt-cheap prices.

He repeated this cycle over and over again, until Frost amassed enormous wealth and influence throughout all of Universe 6.

— — —

And today, Frost's massive war fleet just so happened to "coincidentally" encounter Tachibana Kyūjō in outer space.

Though calling it a coincidence wasn't entirely accurate.

In truth, it was Tachibana Kyūjō who had sensed that powerful aura and deliberately moved in its direction.

When his detection system displayed the name "Frost," Kyūjō's eyes narrowed slightly.

So this is the Frieza of this universe? he thought.

A power level just over 100 billion—far stronger than the current Frieza of Universe 7, who was still lazy and underdeveloped.

Considering Frost's influence in Universe 6, maybe… just maybe… he could be used as a lead to locate Hit.

— — —

On the other side, Frost had also noticed Tachibana Kyūjō's presence.

The moment he realized that someone was surviving in the vacuum of space using nothing but their physical body—just like himself—Frost's eyes filled with unmistakable disdain.

As a noble-blooded member of the Frost Demon race, he couldn't tolerate the idea that an outsider who looked like an "ordinary person" could possess abilities on par with his own.

"Is there another spaceship within our surveillance range?" Frost asked coldly, lazily leaning against his throne.

"R-Reporting, Lord Frost! No other vessels detected within the current scan radius!" one of the crew members replied nervously while operating the radar.

Upon hearing that, Frost raised a finger and pointed at the main screen displaying Tachibana Kyūjō.

"Order the entire fleet. Fire all energy cannons at once and reduce that nuisance to dust."

"Yes, Lord Frost!" the commander immediately relayed the order to every ship.

Deep down, he felt it was a bit excessive—like using a laser cannon to kill a mosquito—but he didn't dare question Frost's will. Maybe Lord Frost simply wanted to enjoy a fireworks show…

— — —

Moments later, Frost's command was transmitted across the entire fleet.

More than a thousand massive energy beams shot forward, racing straight toward Tachibana Kyūjō.

Facing Frost's head-on assault, Kyūjō stood calmly in the void of space—and couldn't help letting out an irritated chuckle.

"Something like this…" he muttered.

"Heaven gave you a path, yet you chose hell."

"Turning on the lights in a dark toilet? Frost, you're really asking for death."

— — —

With a single casual lift of his hand—

Millions of golden energy swords suddenly manifested behind Tachibana Kyūjō's body, surging forward in an instant to intercept the incoming barrage.

When the two forces collided, the golden blades shredded the waves of energy as if they were nothing more than paper, then continued onward—straight toward Frost's fleet.

In the span of a single breath, over a thousand warships and millions of Frost's troops were transformed into blazing fireworks, exploding simultaneously against the pitch-black canvas of space.

Yet through his astonishingly precise control over energy, Tachibana Kyūjō deliberately left one ship untouched—

Frost's command vessel.

— — —

As the light of the explosions gradually faded, Frost stared at the main screen in stunned silence, his expression completely frozen.

The massive armada that had surrounded him just moments ago—

Now only a single ship remained.

"W-What… what kind of monster have I provoked?" he muttered, his body trembling uncontrollably.

But before he could make any decision—

Tachibana Kyūjō vanished from the void of space and reappeared before him in an instant.
