Chapter 176 - Chapter 176: Vilkerite? Cold Vilkerite?

"Yes, that's it! Sorry for my lack of manners but you truly are the asura that eats people. The most hated race within our realm. It seems you already know the history of your people." Daisy said shyly with sparkling eyes, while looking at Hui Shi curiously, hoping he wasn't offended by her words.

"I remember now! Brother Hui Shi, are you related to Cold Vilkerites? I remember the corpse race went by a different name, which I remember should be something called a Cold Vilkerite. Or maybe it was a Hot Vilkerite?" Annette asked in shame and confusion.

She had heard about something related to the corpse race and the word Vilkerite when she was younger, but now had a hard time remembering it. As for Hui Shi's identity as a Vilkerite, it seemed it didn't bother her that much, due to the fact that she had seen him perform many miracles before with her very eyes before, so it was unreasonable for her to start doubting his nature now.

Lain who was standing by the side listening quietly to the shocking information about Hui Shi, quickly remembered when he and Hui Shi were waiting outside the gates of the city, where Hui Shi, gave him an evil grin, and slowly realized that maybe Hui Shin was hiding more about himself than he thought.

'No need to worry about what he's hiding though. He's still a kind, and virtuous priest who has helped many people since I've met him.' Lain thought in his head, before looking at Hui Shi inquisitively, then looking away towards Annette who just asked a question.

"Yes. I didn't want to be rude, so I never bothered mentioning his race. But yes, my brother Hui Shi here is a Vilkerite. Just like the late progenitor of the corpse race, who was also a Vilkerite. But do not let that bother you. Every human is different and should not be seen as their bloodline alone.

Brother Hui Shi is a priest of Ensieth, and should never be demeaned as a devil that eats people." Mon Dupa stated slowly, before glaring at Daisy, who shyly looked away after hearing his words, and seeing his sharp glare.

"Be more kind to others, mother." A robotic voice sounded out, drawing Lain's attention towards the robotic creature in front of him, who slowly walked next to Daisy with a chiding look on his robotic face.

Seeing the runedroid, Lain couldn't help but marvel at the ingenuity of its structure. For the first time he finally saw a humanoid creature, and was beyond words at what he was currently seeing. But due to the current circumstances he decided to keep his questions and wonder to himself.
