Rosette Young POV'
As I stumbled to the nurse's office, the pain excruciating and hurtful.
I couldn't help but wonder why I was being treated like this. Why was I a target for the triple eight? What had I done to deserve their cruelty?
The nurse's office was a bleak and unwelcoming place, the fluorescent lights overhead casting an harsh glow on the scene.
The nurse looked up from her desk, her eyes scorching and filled with malice.
"What did you do again?" she asked, her voice cold and unforgiving.
I smiled weakly, trying to ignore the pain.
"I just came here to get the medical kit,"
I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. The nurse snorted in disgust. "If you want to use them, you have to buy them. We're not a charity, you know."
As I handed over the last of my money, the nurse's expression turned even more sour.
"You're lucky I'm feeling generous today,"
she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Otherwise, you'd be out of here without any treatment."
I took the medical kit and began to tend to my wounds, trying to ignore the nurse's hostile gaze.
I winced in pain as I cleaned my cuts and applied bandages, my eyes welling up with tears.
The nurse watched me with a mixture of disdain and curiosity, her eyes lingering on my injuries.
"You know, you're really quite pathetic,"
she said, her voice cold and detached.
"You let those bullies walk all over you, and then you come crying to me for help."
I bit her lip, trying not to react to the nurse's words.
I knew that she couldn't afford to antagonize me further, not when I needed her help so desperately
. As she finished treating my wounds, I stood up, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of escape.
But the nurse's voice stopped me, I knew what she wanted.
"Don't think you're getting off that easy,"
she said, her eyes glinting with malice.
"You're going to have to pay for the privilege of using our facilities. And if you can't afford it, well... let's just say you'll have to work it off."
My heart sank as I realized the nurse's true intentions, she didn't want my money rather she wanted to see me suffer more.
I was trapped, with no way out. And the nurse's words hung in the air like a challenge, a reminder of the cruel world I lived in.
