A faint flush rose to Edward's cheeks at that, embarrassed by how he had behaved earlier. He quickly released Cece and stepped back, clearing his throat subtly. "I….I thought you were in trouble," he muttered, looking away.
She let out a small smile. "I understand," she replied softly, glancing up at him, looking all fluttery and adorably flustered.
