"Really? Kazama-sama, you're actually willing to take us in?"
Guren and Yūkimaru were beyond thrilled at Kazama's words.
The hideout they'd been staying in was a barren wasteland—nothing around, not even enough food to get by. Hearing that Kazama was taking them to Otogakure? They were a thousand percent on board.
"But Sanbi's so huge. There's no way we can take it with us, right?" Guren and Yūkimaru said, staring at the frozen statue of Sanbi, clearly troubled.
"And even if we could, it'd definitely attract attention from other ninja villages along the way!"
"If we can't carry it, then we'll just have Sanbi fly with us!" Kazama replied.
"Fly? How's that gonna work?"
"Just put your hands on me!"
With that, Kazama activated Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique).
Guren and Yūkimaru were still confused when, in the next moment, Kazama teleported them—along with Sanbi—to a forest just outside Otogakure.
"We're here!" Kazama announced.
At his voice, Guren and Yūkimaru exchanged stunned looks.
"Is this… a space-time ninjutsu?"
"That was way too fast!"
Kazama's Hiraishin was so quick that they hadn't even processed what happened. If they hadn't already seen how powerful Kazama was, they'd probably have fainted from shock right then and there.
"Man, Otogakure's got everything going for it, except for one thing—no tailed beast. That's kind of a bummer," some new recruits in Otogakure were chatting idly.
"Yeah, look at the Five Great Nations' ninja villages. Every single one's got a tailed beast! Kumogakure even has two—Nibi and Hachibi!"
"Compared to them, our Otogakure's looking pretty pathetic. If we ever go to war with another village, not having a tailed beast is gonna screw us over big time."
"Huh? Did it just get cloudy? Is it gonna rain?"
"Holy crap!"
As the villagers were chatting, a massive shadow suddenly loomed overhead. Everyone looked up, and a chorus of "What the hell?!" echoed through the crowd.
It wasn't a cloud—it was the enormous body of Sanbi Isobu.
"That's…"
"It's a tailed beast! Run for it!"
The lively Otogakure turned chaotic in an instant as people scrambled to flee from Sanbi's sudden appearance.
"Damn it! Why the hell would Sanbi show up in Otogakure out of nowhere?"
Orochimaru and the others were just as shocked.
"I heard Kazama-sama was going to subdue Sanbi. Did he fail, and now Sanbi's tracked him here for revenge?"
"No way. Does a tailed beast even have that kind of intelligence to hold a grudge?"
"Doesn't matter. Right now, we've got to band together and fend off Sanbi's attack!"
Orochimaru, Kimimaro, Zabuza, Haku, and the others prepared to unleash their strongest techniques to take on Sanbi.
But just then, a figure leapt down from Sanbi's back and landed in front of the crowd.
"Kazama-sama!"
Seeing it was Sanada Kazama, Orochimaru and the others were both shocked and relieved.
"Kazama-sama, we thought Sanbi had killed you!"
"Relax. A mere Sanbi could never take me down. Plus, I brought it back with me. From now on, Sanbi is Otogakure's tailed beast!"
"What?! Otogakure has a tailed beast now?!"
The crowd was floored by Kazama's words.
Just a second ago, they were complaining about how Otogakure looked pathetic without a tailed beast. Now, Sanbi was officially theirs. The happiness hit them like a bolt from the blue.
