[Sylphie Pov]
"Hmmmp..." I couldn't help but sigh in irritation as I crossed my arms.
"What's wrong, dear? You've been like this for a while," my mother asked from behind me.
Right now we were walking through the forest as we surround the city of Millis.
Rudy luckily killed the bastard Paul and now he and Eris are on their way to destroy his organization.
But still...
"It's for Rudy..." I murmured softly "I wanted to go with him too" I said with a sigh and my mother laughed softly.
"Don't be sad, my dear, Rudy entrusted you with protecting us, so he knows he can trust you... Besides..." My mother's tone became playful.
"You're jealous that he's alone with Eris, aren't you?" She murmured softly as she placed her hand on my chest.
I couldn't help but blush as I thought about Rudy and Eris flirting alone.
The mental image should have made me jealous but... It actually made me happy...
I could even feel a smile form on my mouth as I remembered how Rudy treated Eris.
Even imagining him with teacher Roxy doesn't make me jealous, it just makes me happy, in fact I was the one who begged her to share him.. Am I really like that?.
"Actually no... I-I just wanted to go with him too" I sighed heavily.
"Don't blame him dear, Rudeus just killed Paul, his father, he needs time to process it alone" Lady Hilda said suddenly making me sigh more.
'If he wanted time alone then why did he take Eris?!' I wanted to protest but I knew it would be in vain.
"Don't be jealous! We can share him in bed once we reach his destination!" Kishirika suddenly said, causing all the women in the group to blush.
"Wait... You're also engaged to Rudeus?" Ruigerd asked, dumbfounded. "I thought I heard 80 years ago that you were engaged to Badigadi."
I ignore the age comment and stare at Kishirika like everyone else.
"Haa... Yes, but Rudeus showed me more affection and care than Badi had in centuries, and he also broke my curse that prevented me from leaving the demon continent... Falling in love with him was something I couldn't help hehehe..." She murmured as she blushed and covered her cheeks with a dreamy expression.
"I see... After all, Rudy is very trustworthy...kind, handsome, honest, caring..." Before I got lost in my train of thought, I coughed loudly.
"So if Rudy has chosen you then I don't see a problem, you just have to talk to Eris anyway," I said with a smile.
For some reason Rudy having another fiancée made me happier...
'Do I have any fetishes?...'
"So... Now that's four," Lady Hilda muttered, massaging her temples with a frown.
"Yes, we're sorry Lady Hilda, but Rudy promised to love us all equally!" I said seriously.
"Yes, I know... That's not what I meant," she said with a weak smile.
"Let's not waste time. Rudeus said the attack would be fast, so they could reach the exit at any moment. We must hurry."
With Ruigerd's words we all quickened our pace towards the northern exit of the city.
...
[Rudeus Pov]
We walked slowly but deliberately towards the building, it was five stories high, blue in color, entirely made of stone, and just above the door the symbol of a dragon between two swords stood out.
"Stay alert, activate your barrier" I told Eris
She grumbled but immediately a faint green light enveloped her, in broad daylight it was almost imperceptible so we didn't attract much attention.
Upon entering the building we were greeted by a chaotic atmosphere.
"Who the hell gave that order? How many were there?!" A man shouted from a balcony in our direction. In front of us were a total of forty men who looked like mercenaries.
"The order was given by Lord Gesse, sir... And ten of our men were sent to carry out the mission," one of the mercenaries muttered fearfully.
Immediately the man on the balcony opened his eyes wide and then grabbed his hair as he fell to his knees.
"How long ago was that?" He murmured at the end.
"It was three hours ago, sir... Just at dawn," the same man said.
"Three hours..." Was the last thing the man on the balcony muttered before his gaze fell to the ground.
But this gave me a lot of information... So Gesse huh?.
I should have guessed that slippery rat was the one he responded to now that Paul is dead.
"And where is the boss?!" The man on the balcony shouted loudly.
"S-sir.... The boss and several of our men left yesterday on a mission to the forest but they haven't returned..." Another mercenary muttered.
"So that bastard abandoned us..."
'Shit, I didn't even have to do anything and this organization is already falling apart'
"Sir, and some also report that Lord Gesse left the building in the early morning and has not returned!! The mission was given by him since yesterday!!" Another mercenary shouted and I could practically feel the panic among the other men.
"We have to get the hell out of here before the royal guard arrives!" The man in armor shouted and immediately all the mercenaries started to climb the stairs.
"Shit... If that Gesse escaped then this attack will be pointless..." Eris muttered in frustration but I shook my head.
"No, all these men agree to attack an innocent woman and a girl, let's kill all the mercenaries and get out of here" I said and the figth spirit returned to Eris.
In an instant I drew my sword and the heads of ten men rolled on the ground.
"huh?!!!" The man previously on the balcony noticed this and his face paled.
"C-call Lord Paul!!" He shouted before his head fell to the ground.
I immediately frowned at this.
"Lord Paul?..." 'I was confused by the man's desperate cries, apparently none of them knew that Paul was dead'
"!!!" Immediately my hair stood on end.
My Superd eye detected a presence that entered my 20km field of vision and traveled across it in less than two seconds.
"nngh!!" I only had time to turn around and create a Sonic boom that pushed Eris as far away from me as I could.
*kroooom!!*
Immediately one of the walls of the building literally exploded and a black beam rushed towards me at a speed greater than light.
*Clank!!!* *Boooom!!*
The impact of two swords colliding at the speed of light was so strong that the building collapsed on top of us.
Fortunately, Eris realized what had happened and managed to escape from the building.
The Mercarians' cries of confusion echoed around the place as the building collapsed like a twin tower.
"You've spent too much time tormenting the people of this city, it's time for you to pay for your crimes!" A really young voice shouted angrily.
Also now that I had it in front of me I could notice many things.
His clothes were a kind of white mesh with gold shoulder and knee pads.
His hair was black and his eyes were an intense red color, I almost mistook him for an Uchiha.
But not even this mild joke could give me a bit of relaxation.
Our swords clashed and with them metal sparks were released everywhere.
The sword of the young man who was attacking me was enormous, about two meters long and wide and seemed to be made of gold as well.
Plus it vibrated incredibly in front of our forces.
"I didn't think I'd find you here of all places..." I muttered heavily.
"Hmm? Do you know me?... I can't say it's an honor to be known by someone as despicable as you!" He shouted angrily.
I simply stared at him as my sword began to envelop in mana, releasing lightning and fire.
Immediately the young man opened his mouth wide and I jumped backward ten meters and fell on top of the rubble.
"I just felt a huge presence of mana in that sword... But it doesn't matter, I will defeat you and become a hero!!" He shouted as he raised his sword above his head.
"In my hand a sword..." When those words came out of his mouth I immediately tensed and looked around.
There were hundreds of people injured by the building debris and more still watching the scene curiously.
"Everyone run!" I shouted as I conjured a god-level barrier around us.
The young man was stunned for a few seconds but then clicked his tongue.
"I am the North God Alek Kallman III and today will come your end!" He shouted and immediately a layer of dense mana began to accumulate on his sword.
Through my eye of mana I could see how in a fraction of a second An overwhelming amount of mana gathered in his sword and the debris around him began to float.
"Oh! You won't!" I screamed as I charged at him at full speed.
Alek opened his eyes in surprise, canceled his attack and our swords collided.
The impact of our swords was much greater than before but was contained thanks to the god-level barrier.
"Bastard! Where is your honor?! You didn't even let me finish my monologue!!" Alek shouted in fury and I just sighed.
"Life isn't an anime!!" I screamed and an electric shock came out of my hand towards him.
He tried to avoid it but the electricity was stronger and hit him full on.
"aaagh!!!" He screamed as he writhed but I didn't stop there, I continued pumping more mana into my spell until the electricity began to burn his skin and melt his flesh.
"Aaaagh! Bastard!" Alek yelled furiously as his face melted from my attack.
I tried to use gravity magic to take his sword away with my free hand, but he was surprisingly strong.
And when he realized my intentions, he used his technique on his sword again.
Debris once again began to fly around.
"Tch... you annoying fly!" I yelled as I abandoned gravity magic and began to form a stone bullet with shrapnel.
"What?! How dare you?!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.
The bones of his skull were visible, one of his eyes had popped out, and all his clothes had been incinerated.
But I knew what I had to do; I'm not an anime protagonist, after all.
If I didn't finish him off now, the bastard would simply pull a transformation out of his ass. Although it wasn't likely, I shouldn't get too confident.
"Haaa!" The one-meter-diameter stone bullet broke the sound barrier in an instant, closing the distance between us in an instant.
I could see the surprise in Alek's eyes. He tried to block the stone bullet with his sword, but I quickly held it in place with gravity magic again.
He gritted his teeth in anger, and the bullet slammed straight into his body.
*Krooom!!!*
The impact shook the entire area of the barrier, and blood and flesh expanded in a millisecond.
"No!" I immediately created four more god-level barriers covering the area of his remains while dismantling the first barrier.
"Haaa!" I quickly cast a fire vortex, a King-rank magic I had just learned, and the entire area of the barrier caught fire.
I didn't stop after a minute, not even two.
I spent ten minutes burning the entire area of his remains until the stones themselves melted.
The witnesses crowded around me, and among them, I saw Eris looking at me with a huge smile.
*Ding!*
[Title acquired[ World's 7th Power!]
"Haaa..." I sighed in relief at the system notification, a smile forming on my face.
"Stop right there!" a female voice yelled at me from the crowd.
I immediately turned my head to look and saw my aunt with her helmet and new armor as she came running toward me alongside more armed men.
"Explain what happened here or you're under arrest!" she said as she drew her sword and pointed it at me.
I immediately raised an eyebrow and could see her body trembling; she was terrified.
"Yes, as you ordered, I entered the Dragon Hunter mercenary building when immediately a man calling himself Alek Kallman III stormed into the building and began killing innocent people," I said in a serious tone.
I looked around, and the scene was more stable than it seemed.
Only the organization's building had been destroyed; the rubble was something else, but it was scattered throughout the streets.
"It's true! I saw it! That man came demanding a guy named Paul!" Eris shouted from the crowd.
My aunt didn't turn around, but she lowered her head slightly.
Even so, the other guards began to slowly surround me one by one.
I looked behind me to where the barrier was being dismantled.
There was only a pile of ashes, and far from there was Alek's sword, "Kajakut."
"..." I simply remained silent at all this while lightly placing my hand on the hilt of my sword.
"Stop!" a little girl's voice shouted out of nowhere.
"N-no way!"
"W-what? Shouldn't she be in the sacred chapel?!"
"Blessed child! Come back here!"
Suddenly, from the crowd, the Miko of Millis, the blessed child, came running towards me.
"Blessed child! What are you doing here? You must return to the chapel!" my aunt I screamed in panic as I tried to stop the little girl.
"I order you to move! I'll see if this young man is telling the truth!" she yelled, trying to exert the greatest authority a 10-year-old could.
"..." My aunt said nothing as she moved out of her way.
So the blessed little girl walked slowly toward me with a slight smile.
'This really makes things easier'
