Chapter 28 - Migurd Village and the teleportation circles.

"R-Rudeus...t-that...t-t-that's a S-Superd!! " Eris stuttered in terror as she hid behind me, hugging me tightly.

"Yes, he is, but he saved our lives," I said, caressing her arms.

"W-what?! T-that's impossible!" she yelled and then hid behind me again.

"No, it isn't, right Ruigerd?" I asked, looking at him.

"...yes, I found them in the middle of the desert, they don't have to worry, my name is Ruigerd Superdia by the way, and you?"

Eris looked at me fearfully and I nodded encouraging her to introduce herself in the same way.

"I-I...I!...my name is Eris!, Eris Boreas... Greyrat" she said with difficulty without daring to look Ruigerd in the eyes.

"Well Eris Boreas Greyrat, nice to meet you, I hope we can be friends" with those words almost all of Eris's surroundings disappeared and she finally looked at Ruigerd's face.

"Mooo! Mom is a liar!" She screamed in frustration, sitting on the floor.

"Haaa..." I let out a sigh of relief and my attention turned to Sylphie and Hope.

"Hmm..."

'Oh finally!'

At the same time Sylphie and Hope started to wake up, I noticed that Sylphie's hair was still green so she didn't exhaust her mana now.

"Huh?...Rudy?" Sylphie asked as our eyes met, she smiled calmly and then her mother woke up the same way but she frowned.

"Rudeus? What's happened? Where are we?" Hope asked, looking around, her expression became more and more confused when she saw the cave we were in, but when she saw Ruigerd she practically froze in place.

"R-R-Rudy!" Sylphie squealed in fear and Hope hugged her tightly while looking at me anxiously.

So again I did the same process introducing Sylphie and Hope with Ruigerd.

Sylphie looking at her green hair she simply murmured "you're like me" and visibly relaxed.

Hope on the other hand stayed by my side hugging my arm without even looking at the Superd.

"Mother-in-law... It's okay, Ruigerd is a good guy, there's nothing to fear" I whispered in her ear

Ignoring Sylphie's blushing face I stared at Hope who after a few seconds blushed heavily and nodded.

"My name is Hope..." She finally murmured and so we all entered with Ruigerd.

...

"So you all were teleported from Asura to here... It's not a short distance at all" Ruigerd muttered while stroking his chin.

"Yes..." I simply replied.

The others were communicating with their families through the ring, the most relieved obviously Sylphie and Hope.

"So what are you planning to do? You don't know these areas. I'm the only one who could help you travel," he murmured.

"Don't you think I'm Laplace anymore?" I muttered.

"...no, Laplace never cared so much about the people around him and it is clear that they do trust you, I admit my mistake Rudeus" he said while bowing to me.

"As long as you can recognize the truth," I said with a smile and a sigh of relief.

"Then it's decided, I will guide you back to your home," Ruigerd said in a solemn tone, taking poor Hope by surprise.

"Are you sure?" I asked, playing hard to get.

"Yes, a Super never breaks his word or that would bring misfortune to our race" he said with a grimace of a smile at the end.

"Well, in that case please help us get to the nearest outpost of civilization," I said.

"Yes, we'll leave tomorrow, Migurd village is a day's walk from here" he said and I nodded.

'Then it will be time to visit my other in-laws...'

...

As Ruigerd had said we left the cave in the early hours of the morning, Eris now with her usual recovered attitude was talking animatedly with Ruigerd about adventures and monster hunting.

The poor man simply nodded and responded calmly to the girl's curiosity.

Sylphie on the other hand walked behind him closer to me and more relaxed although I could see that she was also relaxed in front of him.

Hope on the other hand was a different case since since we dated she hadn't left my side for even a second.

"Mom..." Sylphie spoke slightly jealous.

"I-I'm sorry dear!...I-it's just ugh..." Hope mumbled while blushing slightly.

*Ding!*

[Hope's affection increased to 40%!]

[W-we can't! I have a husban and children! Our love is forbidden!]

"???" I raised an eyebrow at this and glanced at Hope who was still hugging my arm tightly.

'oyakodon...'

After a whole day under the intense sun we arrived at a small settlement.

There were about fifty huge turtle shells and it seemed that there were people inside these as well as some smaller structures and walls.

"So this is the teacher's village?" Sylphie asked with a frown, clearly she didn't expect this.

"Yes, that's it, she had her reasons for leaving" I replied.

"I can imagine why," she replied, looking at me with a slight smile.

When Ruigerd began to approach the village a "boy" came out to intercept us and blocked our way.

But he was none other than Rokus, Roxy's father and my father-in-law.

"Rokus... They're children! How can you say they can't enter?!" Ruigerd muttered indignantly.

Rokus was sweating profusely but stood firm against the Superd

"I-I can't just let unknown people enter the village like that" he said in a trembling tone.

"Wait a moment" I said speaking in Demon God language

"Hmm? What do you want?" Rokus asked hostilely.

"My teacher gave this to me, she said she would show it to me when I wanted to travel to the Migurd village" I said as I took out the earring that Roxy had given me.

Rokus's eyes widened at the sight and then he stared at me.

"W-where did you get that?!" He demanded, approaching me.

"My teacher Roxy Migurdia gave it to me when I graduated from her magic classes," I replied.

"Roxy?!..." Rokus practically screamed as he stared at me. "She's my daughter! Where is she?! Is she okay?! Is she close?!"

"I can tell you everything you want but if you let me and my group pass" I said

Rokus instantly frowned and after a few seconds he sighed.

"Let me speak to the great elder to see what I can do," he said as he closed his eyes and remained still.

'So this is the Migurds' telepathic ability?...'

After about ten minutes a blue-haired man who looked about forty years old came towards us with a questioning look.

"Nice to meet you sir, my name is Rudeus Greyrat" I said bowing.

"Oh? It's unusual for a child to know our language, tell me what brings you here?" He asked as his mood calmed down.

So I started telling him everything that had happened, obviously omitting the part about Ruigerd being manipulated.

"Hmm, I see... That's definitely troublesome, okay, please come in, you must be hungry." The old man said and I froze momentarily...

'monster meat...turtle meat'

*Ding!*

[Increases Hope's affection levels up to 80% at the end of the day!]

[Reward: Endless food at your choice!]

'son of a bitch...'

I sighed at the system mission, glancing at Hope, who was a few steps behind me with Sylphie. Eris, on the other hand, was standing far away from us, observing the village with admiration.

I don't know who is more troublesome without Morgan or Hitogami...uhh.

"Please come in, I need you to tell me everything you know about my daughter..." Rokus said anxiously.

Ruigerd stayed outside to wait while I, Sylphie, Eris and Hope entered the house.

"Oh? Rokus? Who are...they?" A Migurd woman asked as she left one of the rooms in the house and then stopped dead in her tracks when she looked at me.

*Ding!*

[Rokaris's affection increased to 75%!]

[If my husband doesn't find out, it doesn't count as cheating, right?...]

"..." I massaged my temples helplessly but a weak smile escaped my lips at the same time.

"They are humans who claim to have been teleported from the central continent to here and this child claims to know Roxy" Rokus explained and Rokaris looked at me with wide eyes.

"Oh... That's great... and tell me... How do you know Roxy?" She asked while blushing and biting her lip seductively.

"She was my magic teacher for three years, Besides, we are engaged," i declared, looking at them.

"Oh..." Rokaris muttered, clearly disappointed.

"eh?!, i-impossible!!...i-I won't allow it!" Rokus on the other hand shouted indignantly while looking at me angrily.

"Rokus!" Rokaris shouted angrily as she glared at her husband.

I simply raised an eyebrow at him, and he gulped loudly.

"I-I won't allow my beloved daughter to be with any stranger!" he yelled as he looked at me.

Despite my age, I was already 140 cm tall, which made me slightly taller than him, but not too much. I could still look him in the eye.

"I don't think that's something you can decide, father-in-law. From what Roxy told me, she hasn't been in this village for more than twenty years. I don't think you have any say in what your daughter decides to do," I said as I looked him in the eye.

Rokus paled slightly as he clenched his fists.

"Rokus... it seems he's a good boy... Roxy is in good hands," Rokaris muttered, biting her lips as she looked me up and down.

*Ding!*

[Rokaris's affection increased to 80%!]

[If he comes outside, it doesn't count as cheating, right?]

"Oh boy..."

I could only sigh at Rokaris's gaze, but I also offered her a smile, which made her blush.

"Okay... I'll let you... marry my daughter," Rokus muttered as if the words hurt him.

"Thank you very much, father-in-law, mother-in-law," I said, bowing to each of them.

Rokus simply clenched his fists helplessly, and Rokaris smiled at me, staring at me.

...

After easing the tension with my in-laws, the old man called us into his house.

It wasn't anything fancy; there were mats on the sandy floor, a straw bed, and simple curtains, as well as an indoor fire.

"So, what are you planning to do?" the man asked me while smoking a wooden pipe.

"It's simple. Ruigerd will help us travel through the unknown lands until we reach Saint Port," I replied.

"Hmm... I see, you're okay with that, Ruigerd?" the "elder" Migurd asked, glancing sideways at the Superd.

"Of course, a Superd never breaks his word," he replied, placing a hand on his chest.

"Then there's nothing more to discuss then," the old man smiled at me.

"Hmm, it seems you're close," he murmured, looking at Sylphie, who was sleeping on my lap.

"Yes... she's my fiancée," I replied.

"Hmm? Really? Well, congratulations," he replied, not touching the subject further.

I guess this is more common in this world than I thought...

"But if she's your fiancée, what does she have to do with you?" he asked, pointing at Eris, who was sleeping against my back.

"Ah... she's my fiancée too..." I muttered, slightly embarrassed.

This time, the "old man" raised an eyebrow, looking me up and down, but he dropped the subject again, not caring.

With Hope's help, we returned to Rokus and Rokaris's house, but because there were too many of us, the old man gave me an uninhabited house with three rooms.

"Haaa..." I lay down on Eno's bed and used the ring to communicate.

[Rudeus: We have arrived at the Migurd village, home of my teacher Roxy. Tomorrow morning we will depart for the nearest town to begin our journey south.]

[Zenith: How wonderful, my dear! Thanks to Ghislaine, we crossed the lower jaw of the Red Wrym without any problems and we are almost out of the conflict zone!]

[Lilia: Your sisters are asking for you, young master. Please be very careful.]

[Laws: I have arrived at a small town near the kingdom of Shirone. I managed to rent an inn and will depart for the kingdom of Sanakia in the morning.]

[Hilda: I am near Millis. Some bandits tried to attack me, but with the ring, I was able to defend myself, although the force of the attacks was a bit too much for mere bandits...]

[Philip: Rudeus did it to protect us. On my way to Rapam, I encountered hundreds of monsters that I could never have handled alone. His ring was a brilliant weapon. [Idea]

[Rudeus: I only did it to protect the people I care about]

Upon confirming everyone's status, I breathed a sigh of relief, said goodbye, and lay down to sleep.

*Ding!*

[Ring updated!]

[Update: Teleportation Circle Locations!]

[Current Visibility: Only Rudeus Greyrat]

"!!!" I jumped out of bed when I saw the system notification.

Immediately, the six-sided world map materialized before me, and in addition to the location points, hundreds of gray dots began to emerge from the map.

"Sons of bitches..." I muttered with a goofy smile.

I counted all the gray dots on the map and counted around 200, each one a teleportation circle. The best part was that by tapping on each dot, you could see where each one was going.

And the best part was that one of the teleportation circles led to the outskirts of Millis City, in the middle of the forest.

"We'll just have to go to Rikarisu City, and then a day's walk west, and we'll get there!" But my excitement was cut short when I felt Rokaris's presence coming out of her house. The worst part was that she was heading right for me.

I immediately lay down on the bed, pretending to be asleep. She came in slowly and shook me awake.

"Mother-in-law? Did something happen?" I said in a sleepy tone.

"Shh..." she simply responded before kissing me and climbing on top of me.
