The Eleventh Division barracks lay in ruins, once again battered by the force of the clash.
The Eleventh Division members watching from a distance finally realized something.
"Uh, we don't have anywhere to live anymore…"
"Is Vice-Captain Kyōraku Callum that strong? He's actually fighting Captain Kenpachi to this extent?"
"How did this guy cultivate such power?"
"The gap is growing wider and wider! This is exciting!"
At that moment, the other Captains arrived, somewhat belatedly. In the midst of the ruins, two figures clashed repeatedly, their spiritual pressure wreaking havoc.
"Can someone tell me what's going on here?" Kyōraku Shunsui asked, utterly bewildered. He couldn't comprehend the scene before him.
Wasn't Kyōraku Callum doing perfectly fine in the Fourth Division? He'd even found him a fiancée to ease his mind, so why was he suddenly fighting Kenpachi?
"Captain Kyōraku!" Ikkaku Madarame's voice cut through the chaos.
Kyōraku Shunsui easily spotted the shining bald head amidst the crowd.
Despite his serious injuries, Ikkaku's bald head remained brilliantly eye-catching.
"Kyōraku Callum was treating the injured recruit when the Captain suddenly returned," Ikkaku explained.
"You know the Captain's personality better than I do. The moment he sensed Kyōraku Callum's spiritual pressure, the fight became unavoidable."
Kyōraku Shunsui stroked his chin, pondering. "In other words, Kenpachi started this fight?"
Ikkaku Madarame hesitated slightly before nodding.
Kyōraku Shunsui let out a sigh of relief. "That's good. Then Kenpachi just needs to face punishment. Kyōraku Callum was entirely passive!"
Ikkaku Madarame's jaw dropped. "But… the Eleventh Division barracks were completely destroyed because of their fight!"
Kyōraku Shunsui's face darkened; the aura of a veteran Captain emanated from him.
"What? Should the blame fall on Kyōraku Callum?"
Ikkaku Madarame suddenly remembered the disparity in strength and rank between himself and Kyōraku Callum.
"What a delightful battle!" Unohana Retsu murmured, her right hand resting on the braid in front of her, her left hand lightly brushing her Zanpakutō's scabbard. Her eyes gleamed with anticipation.
"Ahem, Captain Unohana," Kyōraku Shunsui said, sensing the shift in the atmosphere.
"I think things are already chaotic enough in Seireitei. It's best we observe and wait for the fight to conclude."
He knew Unohana Retsu's nature; if she intervened, things would spiral out of control.
With the Central 46's corrupt rules, Kyōraku Callum would likely face punishment.
Unohana Retsu watched the battle intently, then smiled. "I understand the gravity of the situation, Captain Kyōraku. Please don't worry."
Kyōraku Shunsui breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, good."
As they finished speaking, Suì-Fēng, Gin Ichimaru, Aizen, Byakuya Kuchiki, and others arrived. Before them lay a scene of utter devastation.
"Ara ara," Gin Ichimaru drawled, ever the nonchalant observer. "What a spectacular battle scene! I never expected Vice-Captain Kyōraku Callum to possess such immense power."
"Kyōraku-kun's performance was indeed unexpected," Aizen said smoothly, his usual amiable demeanor unchanged.
"Shouldn't we stop them?" Suì-Fēng asked anxiously, itching to intervene.
"Captain Suì-Fēng, wait," Jūshirō Ukitake said, arriving despite his illness, drawn by the immense spiritual pressure.
"Their fight has reached a fever pitch. If we interfere now, we'll become targets. The battle would escalate, causing even greater damage to Seireitei."
Kyōraku Shunsui added, "That's right, Suì-Fēng. Let's wait for them to finish. We can set up a Kidō barrier around the Eleventh Division barracks to mitigate the aftermath."
The group spread out, centering on the Eleventh Division barracks. With the chanting of Kidō incantations, a massive barrier enveloped the area.
The battle raged on, but the contrast between the battered, blood-soaked Kenpachi Zaraki and the immaculate Kyōraku Callum was striking.
The Captains noticed this, their expressions turning peculiar.
"Kyōraku Callum's strength surpasses my expectations," Kyōraku Shunsui murmured, stroking his beard, his brow furrowed. He'd initially believed Kyōraku Callum's power stemmed solely from his spiritual pressure.
But now, Kyōraku Callum had proven otherwise. His refined swordsmanship and uncanny Shunpo allowed him to effortlessly evade Kenpachi Zaraki's relentless assault.
"Ha, what a surprise!" Kenpachi Zaraki exclaimed, his spirit undimmed despite his injuries. Kyōraku Callum wondered what species Kenpachi was; his potential was astounding.
"Looks like I need to unleash my true power!" Kenpachi Zaraki removed his eyepatch, a cruel smile spreading across his face.
"The real fight begins now!"
With those words, a towering column of golden spiritual pressure erupted, engulfing everything around him.
A blinding light enveloped Kyōraku Callum.
"Oh my," Gin Ichimaru said, his hands clasped behind his back, a strange tone in his voice. "Captain Kenpachi has unleashed his full power. Kyōraku-kun is in danger now."
Suì-Fēng glared at Gin Ichimaru. "Don't pretend you don't know better! Kyōraku-kun is not… not in danger."
As she spoke, Suì-Fēng noticed the other Captains' gazes shifting to her.
Her face flushed; she realized her mistake and lowered her voice.
