Driven by his confidence and curiosity, Kyōraku Callum decided to test the spiritual particle turbulence.

With powerful spiritual pressure enveloping his body, he plunged directly into a torrent of the turbulence, his actions met with a look of sheer terror from Suì-Fēng.

After a considerable time, Kyōraku Callum smacked his lips, as if savoring the experience. "It wasn't anything special," he commented. "Exactly like the spiritual particle turbulence I've tested in Kurotsuchi's lab."

Suì-Fēng's eyes widened, her lips parted in surprise, momentarily unable to process what she had witnessed.

"You... you're alright?"

Kyōraku Callum emerged from the turbulence, looking at her with a puzzled expression. "What do you mean? It's just spiritual particle turbulence. Besides, were you worried about me?"

Suì-Fēng immediately averted her gaze, denying any concern.

"Who... who would worry about you! I was merely concerned that if you died, no one would be able to tell me Yoruichi-taichō's whereabouts."

Kyōraku Callum sighed, wearily explaining, "I've said this many times. I learned the Shihōin Stealth Techniques from Yoruichi-taichō when she was still in Soul Society. As for her current location, I genuinely don't know!"

Suì-Fēng let out a cold snort, turning to resume her investigation, clearly unconvinced by his explanation.

Before their arrival, Mayuri Kurotsuchi had created trackers based on the residual spiritual pressure from Madarame and Ayasegawa's injuries. While uncertain of Aizen's motivations, the mission had been assigned, and Kyōraku Callum had no choice but to proceed. He had already grasped the power of peak-level Shunpo, and he certainly wasn't going to neglect his Kidō training. Before the final battle arrived, he wouldn't squander any opportunity for self-improvement.

The trackers were small spiritual tools resembling Dragon Ball radars. They could track anything containing residual spiritual pressure from the Hōgyoku—objects, locations, or even the Hōgyoku itself.

However, their effectiveness was limited; if the Hōgyoku concealed its spiritual pressure, it would be untraceable. In essence, they were somewhat ineffective tools, but sufficient for this particular investigation. Each member of the mission team was equipped with one.

Kyōraku Callum examined his tracker screen, a puzzled expression forming on his face. "Why is there so much residual spiritual pressure in the Wasteland?"

Suì-Fēng shared his confusion. "It seems many similar Hollows have previously been present in this area."

Once focused on the task at hand, Suì-Fēng proved to be exceptionally reliable.

The two began their search, using the border between the Wasteland and the northern Rukongai as their central point, covering a radius of one hundred kilometers.

Since they only needed to follow the tracker's readings to locate potential areas of interest, the mission primarily tested their Shunpo speed. Fortunately, both possessed Shunpo skills that ranked among the best in all of Soul Society.

Consequently, the one hundred-kilometer search didn't take an excessive amount of time.

After the remaining Onmitsukido members arrived at the Wasteland, Kyōraku Callum and Suì-Fēng's search was officially concluded.

"Captain, no unusual activity was detected in the Rukongai," reported one of the impassive squad members, kneeling on the ground.

Suì-Fēng frowned, her expression thoughtful. "Absolutely no trace whatsoever?"

The kneeling squad member lowered their head, hesitating for a moment, seemingly in deep thought.

Suddenly, Suì-Fēng felt a powerful force at her waist, and her body was instantly propelled away from her original position.

BOOM—

A deafening explosion, like the impact of a massive meteor, erupted from the spot where she had been standing moments before, creating a mushroom cloud that instantly engulfed several kilometers.

Terrifying flames consumed everything within sight. Even the spiritual particle turbulence was violently agitated, tearing at the fabric of space.

"What…?" Suì-Fēng stared, momentarily stunned, unable to process the sudden and devastating attack.

A traitor had been among her squad.

The Second Division's members were renowned for their unwavering loyalty, their training methods vastly different from other divisions, often involving a form of indoctrination by lower or even upper-class nobles in Seireitei—Suì-Fēng herself was a product of this system. Yet, a betrayal had occurred. What could possibly have transpired?

In her shock, Suì-Fēng barely registered the hand that had grasped her waist.

It was only when—

"Their spiritual pressure is inconsistent; there are multiple spiritual pressures mixed together," Kyōraku Callum calmly analyzed. "To be precise, they appear to be under control, likely manipulated by Kidō or some kind of spiritual tool."

Suì-Fēng finally noticed the hand on her waist, her face flushing crimson. She hastily removed Kyōraku Callum's hand.

"Th-thank you," she stammered, her usually decisive nature preventing her from expressing any further animosity towards Kyōraku Callum. She understood that if Kyōraku Callum hadn't pulled her away, she would have suffered severe injuries, at the very least.

A serious injury in the harsh environment of the Wasteland was tantamount to a death sentence.

"It was nothing," Kyōraku Callum said casually, not dwelling on the incident. "However, this attack confirms that the enemy remains hidden within the Rukongai."

Kyōraku Callum's thoughts were far-reaching and insightful. He knew his objective, but the enemy's intentions remained unclear.

Aizen… what exactly was he planning?

Simultaneously, in the Kenpachi district of the northern Rukongai, the area closest to the Wasteland, three figures cloaked in black were concealed within a Kidō barrier.

"My, my, a triple Kidō explosion, and yet it had no effect whatsoever," Gin Ichimaru's sly voice emerged from beneath his cloak, a mixture of disappointment and surprise in his tone. "Vice-Captain Kyōraku's perception is remarkably keen. Lord Aizen, are you certain about releasing 'it'? It represents a considerable investment of our time and resources!" He narrowed his eyes, his gaze fixed on the figure beside him.

Aizen, similarly cloaked in black, offered a cryptic smile. "Every piece on the board must be thoroughly understood.

'It' can be recreated; materials can be gathered again. However, this opportunity to gather intelligence is unique, and we cannot afford to miss it."

Gin Ichimaru wisely chose not to voice any further objections to Aizen's decision.

As for Tōsen Kaname, ever obedient and compliant, he would never express dissent.

Since Aizen had made his decision, the Hōgyoku would be released.
