George had to stop to take a breath. He never was one to run, he was in good shape, he just never ran all that much. This was the most running he's done in like forever.
Plus, his arm was throbbing. He felt that he had run far enough away that he could now double back and make a run for the road. But he was going to walk until he felt he had to run once again. He needed to conserve his energy if he had a chance against that damn reindeer again.
SNAP!
He stopped at the sound and listened. Nothing. No sound. No crickets. No frogs...Not a good sign. He knew enough of the woods to know that when things go quiet, something is there. Something that is dangerous, deadly.
He slowly made his way back to the cabin, still listening for the slightest sound to indicate to him where the danger was.
He managed to make it back to the cabin without running into Blitzen. So maybe the thing went after Raven instead. She was further away by now, had to be. So that would mean that he was home free to get back to town.
He came around the corner and felt his gut lurch at the sight of Jim's mangled body. He silently thanked his friend for giving him and Raven a chance to escape. Then he made his way to the driveway but paused as he looked up at the dark barn, he went up there, using his flashlight, he looked on the ground for the gun that Nick dropped the night he was killed.
A glint under the hay caught his attention, but it turned out to be a shell casing from a rifle, one of the hunter's. If the casing was here, then the gun had to be...Ah-ha! He found it!
He checked it and found that it was still loaded, Nick had only gotten a single shot off before he was killed. It was a 9mm, not very powerful against a reindeer, but he could still wound the thing, and it could bleed out.
Keeping the gun out and pointed out, finger on the trigger, ready to shoot at the first sign of the beast, George made his way back outside, still being on alert.
Still seeing no sign of Blitzen, he got to the end of the driveway and turned towards the direction of town.
But stopped when he saw Blitzen in the middle of the road, blocking his path. How did it get there without him hearing or seeing it? Blitzen must've been watching him and made a trap for him. The thing knew which direction he would've taken.
" You think you're so smart? Well, I gotta surprise for you, you bastard! " George shouted at the beast, holding up the gun and fired a couple of rounds at the beast, they everyone missed.
Each shot he took, Blitzen came closer, unafraid of the gun and unafraid of him.
" Oh shit! " George exclaimed and took off back towards the cabin, at least there he was safe.
But he also had a plan that he quickly formed in his head as he ran, he knew that if it worked, well, either both he and the beast will be dead or just him. And Raven would have a little more time to get to the lodge and get help.
There had to be somebody there that could help her.
George turned around to face the beast again as he got to the stairs of the cabin, he raised the gun again but was shocked to see how close the beast was to him, he screamed in agony as the beast gored him with its antlers.
But he was able to use his arms he grasped one antler and raised the gun up to the beast's head, aiming for its eye,
" Time to die, you sick fucker. " He pulled the trigger, and the bullet entered Blitzen's eye, causing him roar in pain, in retaliation to being shot, Blitzen bit down on George's dick and balls. Causing George to scream out in more pain and unload the gun again at various parts of Blitzen's body, wounding him further until the gun was empty.
But Blitzen continued to stand and throw him off his antlers and into turned over van. His back bent at the edge of the van's sidestep; a sickening crack sounded as Goerge's back broke.
He called out in pain again as he slid down onto the ground, he watched as Blitzen stumbled about before collapsing to the ground unmoving.
" Ha! I win! " He called out brokenly.
He knew he was paralyzed from the waist down, his dick and balls hurt like a bitch, and he was sure they were either torn or gone, but he could still use his arms, and despite wounds he received from Blitzen's antlers, he needed to try and get out of there and get help.
So with sheer will power alone, George got up and forced himself to crawl away, back down the driveway, and out on the main road.
Unaware that Blitzen was getting up and shaking off the attack he received. He looked around for George, seeing the blood trail, he followed it until he caught up to him.
He snorted loudly to get his attention. George paused in his crawl, he slowly looked back around him, his eyes widening in fright at the sight of the reindeer.
He muttered that it couldn't be, and this wasn't happening over and over as Blitzen came closer to him with determined steps until he was literally right on top of George, stepping on him until it was fully on him, stopping George from fleeing further.
" Get off me you son of a bitch! " George shouted in anger and fear.
Blitzen ignored him, instead, he lifted up one of his hooves and placed it on George's head and applied pressure to his head until with a sickening crack and squish, George's skull burst from the weight and force of Blitzen stepping on him.
Blitzen bent down and bit George's leg and drug him back off the main road and back up to where Jim's body was, tossing him on top Jim's body.
Now there was only one left to kill.
