Aaron stared at Ego, his gaze sharp and unyielding. A quiet anger simmered deep within him, tightening every muscle as he held his ground.
"So? How's it going to be?" Aegon asked, his voice smooth and mocking while he controlled Ego's body with effortless command.
"By killing you," Aaron replied calmly, his words steady and ice-cold.
"Why don't you try?" Aegon challenged, a faint smirk curling on Ego's lips.
In the next moment, Aaron exploded into action.
He surged forward with blinding speed, vanishing from sight and reappearing directly behind Ego in a rush of displaced air. The movement was so fast it left faint ripples in the space around them.
Ego was nothing more than a clone, and a clone was fundamentally weaker than the original in every way. Aaron had made certain of that fact long before the fight began.
Drawing on that same overwhelming speed once more, Aaron shifted and appeared right in front of Ego, launching a fierce strike aimed straight at his core.
