Rex crashed through several buildings without even slowing down. The structures, already weakened from the city's destruction, crumbled further, bricks and metal raining down in a cacophony of chaos.
After several crashes, Rex finally came to a stop amidst a heap of ruin. He lay in a crater, coughing blood, his body bruised but regeneration kicking in, eyes blazing with defiance.
"Tell me. What do you know about my parents?" Aaron asked, appearing before Rex, his gaze cold. The question burned in his chest, the mention of his family igniting a fire that his hybrid blood amplified.
