Leon wasn't naive enough to believe in humanity so much. He knew about their black heart very well. As much as there were good people out there, there were equal or even more greedy people out there.
Even if they weren't bad or greedy, they might just step in because of the greater picture for the humans.
His current progress known to the world was shocking, but most people attributed it to him somehow getting an opportunity which helped him quickly level up.
There were elixirs, fruits and many other things that could help him in this, but there was a high chance they would have corruption in them.
That was the sole reason Amber came to check on him. Perhaps, the Academy gave the task to someone else, but he was her student so how could she let someone else do it?
Her suspicion about him having something which helped him progress faster only increased after knowing his current level.
In just over a week, he had reached from Level 04 to Level 11. Even heavenly opportunities wouldn't grant such progress.
It was a progress greater than even women and historical, not even once men had ever caught up with women's leveling speed. Just this fact alone would make people sure that he had something which increased his progress.
Once this was known to the world, there would definitely be greedy people who would want to use him or even torture him to get the method to progress faster in their hands.
Even if he somehow survived from them, there were people in the government who would experiment on him in the name of greater picture.
They would say that they want every man in the world to know of this method or something like that. Leon could already imagine that.
But he also wanted the support of authorities so all of this put him in a big dilemma so he decided to consult Amber. Even if she was somewhat crazy, she was incredibly kind towards her good students and helped them.
She also had a deep knowledge about the world, including politics and also had many connections. She was the perfect candidate for this.
This was his goal too. This was why he didn't even try to hide his level from her. He certainly knew a few methods which could help him hide his level, but he wanted to know the world's stance first.
Amber didn't answer his question immediately and continued to stare into his eyes. After a while, she chuckled, "You're really a smart guy. Thinking so far ahead. Can I conclude that our meeting was also in your prediction?"
"Kind of. But I was planning to have it after the Dungeon Raid," Leon smiled.
"Haha! You're really an amusing and interesting fellow." Amber laughed before she said. "As for your question, it's more simple than you imagine."
"How?" Leon asked in confusion.
"Some will support you and some will oppose you in different ways. It only depends whose side is more powerful," Amber shrugged as she walked towards him. "And I'm more inclined to believe in you, but I need some reassurance."
"Like?"
"First, I want you to promise me that whatever you're doing won't harm anyone else," Amber asked.
"Consider it done."
"You will help your fellow students if they're in need. Of course, if you have some past with them, then you can decide on your own, but I do hope you try to help as much as you can."
Leon thought about it and nodded, "That's also not a problem since I was planning to do that anyways."
"Third. You will also support me in future. I have a good feeling about your future so consider it as future investment," Amber said, grinning from ear to ear as her fox ears twitched on her head.
"That's a given. I'm a grateful person and if anyone shows kindness to me, I'll show them severalfold," Leon said calmly.
"Your parents raised you well then," Amber chuckled and added. "Lastly, I want you to promise me that you will tell me about this thing that is helping you in future whenever you feel like you can do it."
Leon hesitated for a second before nodding. It wasn't like she was asking for him to really reveal. If he never felt like sharing, then he would just die with the secret.
"That's all," Amber laughed while patting his shoulders. "You have the support of Amber Frost."
Meanwhile, inside her mind, Amber was snickering, 'Hehe, I secured a good deal. Silly boy. You already had my support from the moment Jade called you her family. With her having your back, nobody in this whole world can do anything to you.'
Still, she wasn't going to admit that since she still wanted those benefits and Jade had also asked her not to reveal their connection.
"Thanks, Professor." Leon heaved a sigh of relief, as if some heavy boulder had been lifted off from his chest.
This was definitely one of the biggest problems of his new life, so it felt good knowing it wouldn't stress him any longer.
'I should still prepare for future. One can only trust their own strength in the end. If worst came, I'll need to rely on my strength to protect Mum.'
"Don't think so much. I have a solution to your problem," Amber said, seeing his thoughtful look.
"Wait? Really?" Leon was surprised and almost couldn't believe his ears.
Amber nodded and stretched her hand as a glowing crystal of deep purple manifested in her hand out of nowhere. Streams of strange energy were revolving around it while occasionally reaching inside it.
"This can mimic the appearance of others' talent quite well and even many higher Tier beings wouldn't be able to see through it unless they tested properly," Amber said with a smile.
'Oh! Now I understand.' Leon was surprised and couldn't help but mentally slap himself for forgetting such a simple solution.
But then again, these stones weren't easy to get—not for him at least—and even if he had gotten one, he wouldn't have been able to fool anyone.
It was different with Amber having his back, though.
