Jaquer was greeted by the ancient dirt as he crashed on the ground from a volcanic portal into the chamber.
His brow furrowed with pain, and his mouth turned downward with an unhappy smile.
Awkwardly, he stood up and dusted away the dirt on his back and looked around.
The room was lit by a giant glowing skull, emitting faint purple light from its mouth, while translucent smoke oozed out from its eyes.
The skull's brightness was not enough to lift the room's darkness, but it was enough for Jaquer to notice something on the wall.
He walked towards it and summoned his demon sword. The hunter transferred his mana to brighten the blade of the sword and looked at the design on the wall through its illumination.
To his surprise, the thing that caught his eye was a poem, shockingly written in Pyranian.
Beyond the hundred sea
Against the seven realms
I battled fifty more
To fulfill my promise
To meet you once more.
