"All of this is thanks to the observation techniques Teacher Rowan taught me!" Little Stone looked at Rowan with gratitude shining in his eyes. "I can predict my opponent's movements now. My reactions are still a little slow, but I'm already much better than before."
Seeing the boy's bright smile, warmth spread through Rowan's heart.
"Keep working hard," he said gently. "I believe you'll continue getting stronger."
"I will!" Little Stone nodded firmly. "By the way, where are you two going?"
"We're going to explore Silverblue Empire cuisine," Silvermoon replied with a smile. "Rowan was just telling me all about Earth's food culture."
"Wow, Earth food!" Little Stone's eyes lit up. "It must be amazing!"
Rowan laughed softly. "Every planet has its own unique culinary traditions. I'm looking forward to learning more about Silverblue Empire cuisine too."
"The Silvermoon Perch at Lakeside Pavilion is incredible!" Little Stone recommended enthusiastically. "And their Jade Soup too. One sip makes your whole body feel warm."
"Sounds like you're quite the food lover," Silvermoon teased.
"Hehe, I really love eating." Little Stone scratched his head sheepishly. "But delicious food is expensive, so I can only eat there once in a while."
A sudden idea came to Rowan.
"Little Stone, would you like to join us? We can celebrate your improvement today."
"Really?" Little Stone's face instantly brightened with joy, though hesitation quickly followed. "But... wouldn't that be too much trouble?"
"Not at all," Silvermoon agreed warmly. "The more people there are, the livelier it becomes."
"That's great!" Little Stone nearly jumped with excitement. "I'll go tell my mom first!"
"Go ahead. We'll wait for you at Lakeside Pavilion," Silvermoon said.
Little Stone dashed away happily.
Silvermoon turned toward Rowan, her gaze soft.
"You're always so kind."
Rowan smiled. "I just think it makes things more meaningful. Besides, seeing him this happy makes me happy too."
The two continued toward Lakeside Pavilion.
The restaurant sat on a small island in Silvermoon Lake, accessible only by boat. Its architecture was elegant and timeless, blending perfectly with the surrounding mountains and shimmering water.
"Welcome to Lakeside Pavilion!" A waitress dressed in traditional attire greeted them warmly. "Miss Silvermoon, it's been so long!"
"Xiaoyu, you're still working here." Silvermoon smiled at her familiarly. "This is my friend Rowan. He's from another planet."
"An off-world guest!" Xiaoyu looked delighted. "Welcome to the Silverblue Empire! I'm sure Lakeside Pavilion won't disappoint you."
"Thank you. I've already heard a lot about this place," Rowan replied politely.
Xiaoyu guided them to a private lakeside room with an incredible view of Silvermoon Lake. The room itself was beautifully decorated. Paintings of ancient swordsmen hung from the walls, while the tables and chairs were crafted from a unique silver-blue wood.
"This place is beautiful," Rowan said sincerely.
"Lakeside Pavilion is famous not only for its cuisine, but also for its atmosphere," Silvermoon explained. "Dining here while overlooking the lake is a special experience."
Not long after, Little Stone arrived.
He had clearly made an effort to dress up. His clothes were neat and clean, and his hair had been carefully combed.
"Sorry for making you wait," he said awkwardly.
"It's fine. We just arrived ourselves," Silvermoon reassured him gently. "Sit down and relax."
Xiaoyu handed them the menu and began introducing the signature dishes.
"Today's Silvermoon Perch is especially fresh. It was caught from the lake this morning. We also recommend our Jade Soup, simmered with seven precious herbs. It's very beneficial for cultivators."
"Then we'll have those two," Silvermoon said. "Also a serving of Cloudsea Shrimp, Jade Tofu, and..." She looked toward Rowan. "Anything you'd like to try?"
"I'll leave it to you," Rowan replied with a grin. "I know absolutely nothing about Silverblue Empire cuisine."
"Then let's add Starlight Pastries and a pot of Spring Blossom Tea," Silvermoon told Xiaoyu.
The dishes arrived quickly.
Every plate looked exquisite, with perfect color, aroma, and presentation.
The Silvermoon Perch was delicate and tender, melting in the mouth alongside the rich seasoning. The Jade Soup was fragrant and naturally sweet, sending warmth flowing through the body after every sip. The Cloudsea Shrimp looked translucent like crystal, as if they had truly been gathered from the clouds themselves.
"This tastes incredible!" Rowan exclaimed after trying the fish. "The freshness of the meat blends perfectly with the seasoning, and the cooking method preserves the natural flavor of the ingredients beautifully."
"The chefs at Lakeside Pavilion come from generations of culinary artisans," Silvermoon explained. "They hold themselves to extremely high standards."
Little Stone ate happily as well, his face glowing with pure joy.
"This is the best meal I've ever had!"
"Slow down," Rowan laughed.
As they ate, Rowan enthusiastically introduced all kinds of Earth cuisine to Silvermoon and Little Stone.
He talked about the fiery spice of Sichuan dishes, the delicate elegance of Cantonese cooking, the rich flavors of northern cuisine, and the endless variety of local street foods.
"There's a dish on Earth called Mapo Tofu," Rowan described vividly. "Soft tofu served in a spicy, numbing sauce. Once you taste it, you can't stop eating. And there's Kung Pao Chicken, stir-fried with peanuts and chili peppers. The layers of texture and flavor are amazing."
"That sounds delicious..." Little Stone swallowed hard.
"And then there's Peking Duck," Rowan continued. "The skin is crispy, the meat is tender, and it's served with thin pancakes and special sauces. It's one of Earth's most famous dishes."
Silvermoon listened with fascination.
"Earth's food culture really is profound. It feels like every dish has its own story."
"That's true," Rowan nodded. "Many dishes on Earth carry deep historical and cultural meaning. For example, there's a famous dish called Buddha Jumps Over the Wall. Legend says the aroma was so irresistible that even a monk would leap over a wall to taste it."
"Buddha Jumps Over the Wall?" Little Stone blinked curiously. "That name is amazing."
"It's made with over a dozen rare ingredients like abalone and sea cucumber," Rowan explained. "The preparation process is extremely complicated, making it one of the most luxurious dishes on Earth."
"That must take forever to make," Silvermoon said with interest.
"It does. Several days, usually. It reflects Earth cuisine's pursuit of craftsmanship and perfection."
At that moment, Xiaoyu returned carrying another dish.
"This is a special dessert our owner prepared for our off-world guest," she said. "A traditional Silverblue Empire sweet called Moondew Nectar."
The dessert resembled a tiny glowing moon, crystal clear and faintly luminous.
"It's made using water from Silvermoon Lake and special fruit extracts," Xiaoyu explained. "Not only is it sweet and refreshing, but it also helps support spiritual energy cultivation."
Rowan carefully tasted a spoonful.
A cool, sweet flavor spread through his mouth, and he immediately felt his spiritual power become more active.
"This flavor is incredible!" Rowan said in amazement. "It's sweet without being overwhelming, refreshing and elegant. I can genuinely feel its effect on spiritual energy."
"This preparation technique exists only in the Silverblue Empire," Silvermoon said proudly. "According to legend, ancient sword masters created the recipe to help swordsmen recover their mental strength."
After the meal, the three of them strolled slowly along the lakeside.
The setting sun painted Silvermoon Lake in shimmering gold. Distant mountains faded into soft shadows, making the entire landscape look like a painting from a dream.
"Today's culinary journey was wonderful," Rowan said sincerely. "Not only did I taste amazing food, but I also learned so much about the Silverblue Empire's culture."
"This is only the beginning," Silvermoon replied with a smile. "I still want to take you to several other restaurants. Tomorrow we'll visit Star Pavilion. Their vegetarian cuisine is said to cleanse the spirit."
"Star Pavilion?" Little Stone exclaimed excitedly. "I've heard of it! Sword cultivators love that place."
"That's right," Silvermoon nodded. "Many advanced swordsmen dine there during training. Their vegetarian dishes help calm the mind and spirit."
The next morning, Silvermoon brought Rowan to Star Pavilion.
The restaurant stood high atop a mountain on Swordheart Planet, surrounded by drifting clouds that gave it an almost transcendent atmosphere. Its architecture was simple and understated, yet filled with serene elegance.
"Welcome to Star Pavilion."
The one who greeted them was a young monk whose soft voice instantly soothed the heart.
"We'd like to try your vegetarian cuisine," Silvermoon said.
"Please follow me."
The monk led them into a quiet dining area overlooking a vast mountain valley. The scenery alone was enough to calm the soul.
Star Pavilion's vegetarian dishes were truly extraordinary.
Though no meat was used, the chefs created astonishing layers of flavor and texture through masterful combinations of ingredients and seasonings.
"This Lotus Heart Tofu is incredible," Rowan said as he admired a dish shaped like a blooming lotus flower. "The softness of the tofu blends perfectly with the fragrance of lotus seeds, and the presentation is beautiful."
"The chefs here undergo special training," Silvermoon explained. "They believe vegetarian cooking is not merely culinary art, but also a form of cultivation."
"I can feel the care behind every dish," Rowan said softly. "Each one brings a sense of inner peace."
As they dined at Star Pavilion, their conversation deepened naturally.
They spoke about cultivation, life, dreams, and the paths they wished to follow. The atmosphere between them grew increasingly warm and intimate.
"Rowan," Silvermoon said quietly, "I've realized that whenever I'm with you, I always learn something new. Not just about cultivation, but about life itself."
"I feel the same way," Rowan replied honestly. "The culture of the Silverblue Empire has inspired me a lot, and..." He paused briefly. "Being with you makes me happy."
Their eyes met.
In that silent moment, both saw emotions neither dared to speak aloud.
Yet neither broke the silence. They simply treasured the warmth between them.
On the third day, Silvermoon brought Rowan to another restaurant called Waterfall Pavilion.
Built beside a cascading waterfall, the restaurant was filled with the soothing sound of flowing water.
"The signature dish here is Waterfall Fish Sashimi," Silvermoon explained. "It's made from spring fish found downstream from the falls. The meat is exceptionally fresh."
Waterfall Pavilion specialized in light cuisine that emphasized the natural flavors of ingredients.
The sashimi lived up to its reputation. The fish was sliced paper-thin and paired with a special dipping sauce, melting delicately on the tongue.
"This is very similar to sashimi on Earth," Rowan observed. "Both focus on preserving the ingredient's original flavor."
"Looks like food cultures across different planets still share common ideas," Silvermoon said with a smile.
They also tried bamboo tube rice and mountain flower honey tea, each dish carrying its own unique charm.
By now, Rowan's understanding of Silverblue Empire cuisine had deepened tremendously.
On the fourth day, Silvermoon took Rowan to the final restaurant of their journey: Cloudpeak Residence.
Located atop the highest mountain on Swordheart Planet, the restaurant could only be reached via a specialized aircraft.
"Cloudpeak Residence is one of the most prestigious restaurants in the Silverblue Empire," Silvermoon explained. "Not only is the cuisine exceptional, but the view overlooks the entire planet."
When they arrived, Rowan was stunned.
The breathtaking scenery stretched endlessly before him. Clouds drifted beneath their feet while mountain ranges rolled across the horizon like waves. It truly felt like dining in the heavens.
"This view is unbelievable," Rowan said in awe.
"I felt the same way the first time I came here," Silvermoon recalled softly. "My father brought me here for my sixteenth birthday. Since then, this place has always been special to me."
The cuisine at Cloudpeak Residence represented the pinnacle of Silverblue Empire culinary art.
They sampled dishes such as Mist-Steamed Egg, Celestial Pearl, and Galaxy Noodles. Every bite felt like a masterpiece.
"These past few days have truly opened my eyes," Rowan said emotionally. "The Silverblue Empire's culinary culture is so rich and diverse. Every dish carries history and meaning."
"I'm happy I could share it with you," Silvermoon replied sincerely. "Seeing how much you enjoy our cuisine makes me proud."
During their meal, several renowned swordsmen of the Silverblue Empire happened to be dining there as well.
When they learned that Rowan was the off-world warrior personally acknowledged by the Sword Saint, they immediately showed great interest and respect.
"To earn praise from the Sword Saint himself," one elderly swordsman said warmly, "means you possess extraordinary strength and character. The Silverblue Empire is always happy to welcome friends like you."
"Thank you for your kind words," Rowan replied humbly. "I still have much to learn."
"Your humility is admirable as well," another swordsman remarked. "True masters often possess that quality."
These conversations gave Rowan a deeper understanding of the Silverblue Empire's martial culture and allowed him to truly feel the openness and kindness of its people.
