Rowan's calm yet precise actions left Ryan completely entranced. The younger man couldn't help but believe every word that came out of his mouth.
"We don't have much time," Rowan said steadily, his tone quiet but full of weight. "Only five minutes."
Ryan frowned. "But if we can't connect to the outside world, then the data I have can't be opened. What's the point?"
Though the pocket dimension around them was extraordinary, Ryan didn't find it particularly impressive. Ever since he had encountered the sentient AI from the Falling Ink Star, his understanding of technology had advanced far beyond ordinary comprehension. Compared to a true artifact or weapon, this sort of spatial ability seemed rather trivial.
Besides, without network access, his instruments were basically useless.
"Don't worry," Rowan replied, a small, knowing smile tugging at his lips. "This space comes with its own integrated system. Friday will take care of it."
"Understood, Boss. Leave it to me," Friday's cheerful voice echoed through the air.
Ryan was surprised to hear it an autonomous AI functioning within an isolated dimension but quickly regained his composure. "So this space really is built on supercosmic technology. You even have a self-contained artificial intelligence."
Through a quick sync of their wrist devices, Friday successfully linked with Ryan's system, infiltrating his smart core and instantly copying all his stored data. Within moments, everything from Ryan's trials in the Ninth Ancient Ruin to the manuals Basic 312 Forms and Basic 186 Forms had been duplicated.
"All done, Boss!"
Rowan nodded with satisfaction. "Good work. That's all we needed."
Ryan then handed over a glowing book whose cover shimmered with faint starlight. "This is the Heavenpiercer Codex. It's about some kind of weapon technique. I don't have that type of weapon, so it's useless to me."
Rowan accepted it without hesitation, his eyes gleaming. Once everything was secured, he told Ryan to close his eyes. A burst of light enveloped them, and in the next instant, they were back in the room within the Devourer World.
Rowan dismissed Ryan soon after, eager to inspect the treasures now in his possession: Basic 312 Forms, Basic 186 Forms, and the Heavenpiercer Codex.
He set aside the 186 Forms for now it focused on illusions and mental manipulation, not his preferred style. Rowan thrived on direct combat, the dance of steel and energy, so he opened the 312 Forms first.
As he delved into the manual, a sense of awe filled him. Compared to this, the Celestial Record he had practiced before was almost crude. That manual had been little more than a theoretical model an Earth-born approximation developed by Hong using an AI's calculations to simulate psychic training.
But Basic 312 Forms was different. It was a foundational system forged by the Falling Ink civilization over billions of years true psychic cultivation. Each form contained profound explanations of psychic flow, energy resonance, and control precision. It wasn't just about moving blades with thought it was about harmony, finesse, and amplification.
Rowan could feel it immediately. If he mastered this, his power would evolve exponentially.
He scanned the 186 Forms briefly as well, noting that it trained the mind to resonate with another's spirit essentially illusion and control arts. One could only dominate weaker minds, never equals. Still, it was perfect for Wanda.
Even without it, her natural affinity for mental magic allowed her to twist perceptions and bend weaker wills. With this training, her psychic prowess would ascend to an entirely new level.
Next came the Heavenpiercer Codex. Rowan's pulse quickened. The Heavenpiercer was an original psychic weapon crafted by Master Huyanbo himself, famous for striking above its user's rank. Its potential was terrifying.
Each form of the weapon had three distinct stages, and mastering even one would mean a dramatic leap in strength.
But this wasn't the right place to train. With that thought, Rowan activated his double-layered ring. Light enveloped him, and he reappeared in the Marvel world.
When he entered his home, the first sight that greeted him was Wanda. She was cleaning the room, using her crimson energy threads to conjure a maid outfit short, elegant, and utterly enchanting.
"Master!" she exclaimed, instantly sensing his return. She dashed toward him, her eyes lighting up as she threw herself into his arms.
"What are you up to?" Rowan asked with a teasing smile, ruffling her hair.
"I missed you," she whispered softly.
Wanda's emotions were simple but pure. She relied deeply on him, and lately, Rowan's absences had left her lonely. Seeing him again broke through her restraint entirely.
"If you missed me that much," he murmured with a grin, "then let's go to the bedroom and make up for lost time. Do well tonight, and there'll be a reward."
"I'll do my best!" she replied shyly, her sparkling eyes like twin stars.
That night, their reunion was filled with heat and tenderness. When it was finally over, Wanda collapsed breathlessly against his chest, drenched in sweat and satisfaction.
Rowan, on the other hand, was still full of energy. His body had evolved since reaching the Star level its strength and endurance now far surpassed human limits.
Wanda panted, her cheeks flushed. "I'm sorry, Master… I couldn't keep up."
"You did perfectly," Rowan said warmly. "This is your reward."
Her eyes brightened with surprise and delight as he handed her a small USB drive.
"What's this, Master?" she asked curiously.
"It's a training program for illusionists," Rowan explained. "I've already loaded the entire manual inside. Go into the Galactica, plug it in, and Aurora will guide you through the exercises. Follow it closely."
Wanda's joy was immeasurable. Ever since she had begun training with the Celestial Record, her progress had been astounding her psychic strength had already reached the War God tier. Rowan was continually amazed by her talent.
He silently thanked fate for not killing her back when they first met. A mind like hers was priceless a true prodigy among psychic adepts.
After some time together, Rowan teleported to Muspelheim, the fiery realm of lava and chaos. Inside the Eternal Star, he summoned Friday again.
"Friday, according to the 186 Forms and my current readings, what's the percentage of brain activation now?"
"Reporting, Boss sixty percent. But that's… not ideal."
"Oh? Why's that?"
"The higher the brain's development, the greater the potential but also the harder the next breakthrough becomes. Progress will be exponentially more difficult."
Rowan chuckled. "That may be true for others, but I have the Mind Stone."
He instructed Friday to project the 312 Forms in holographic sequence and began his training in earnest.
Ryan had needed five months to master this. Rowan wondered how long it would take him.
A month later, within the sea of eternal fire, 365 flying blades circled around Rowan like a golden storm.
He opened his eyes and the entire world trembled. The flames warped under the pressure of his will.
Inside his spiritual sea, golden mist had condensed into liquid droplets, each swirling under immense psychic gravity. The pressure built, straining toward explosion. Sweat trickled down his temple as he shouted, channeling the Mind Stone's power.
A surge of blue light enveloped him. His soul expanded, the golden liquid within his consciousness fusing into a brilliant golden star.
A pulse of psychic power erupted outward like a tsunami.
Rowan roared as a golden aura burst from his body, splitting the molten earth of Muspelheim apart for dozens of kilometers.
"Star-Level Psychic Adept," he breathed, flexing his fingers. Sparks of gold and lightning danced between them.
His mind alone could now lift mountains.
He stepped onto his Heavenpiercer blades, launching through molten rock as if it were air. No resistance, no effort just pure mastery.
Above the burning sea, he extended his hand. "Rise!"
His golden eyes flashed. The earth quaked violently, magma surging upward as a massive landmass broke free, suspended midair by his will alone.
Three thousand meters of terrain floated effortlessly, its weight exceeding five trillion tons. Yet Rowan felt it was still not his limit.
His mental power had evolved blue light from the Mind Stone intertwining with his golden psychic energy, merging into something entirely new.
Not just stronger.
Evolved.
