"For weapons, I'll go with the Dragon-Pattern Broadsword," Rowan decided without much hesitation after opening the weapon marketplace.
He had already browsed most of the classic series of weapons and armor at the Limit Hall yesterday.
Among them, the Dragon-Pattern Broadsword best suited both his physique and sense of aesthetics.
These days, over 60% of Earth's martial artists preferred blades. It was a testament to how practical and effective they were.
Rowan tapped into the purchase screen for the Dragon-Pattern Broadsword series:
Dragon-Pattern Broadsword A1
Price: ¥100,000 (full) / ¥50,000 (with 1-star contribution)
Dragon-Pattern Broadsword A2
Price: ¥500,000 (full) / ¥250,000 (with 1-star contribution)
…
Dragon-Pattern Broadsword A5
Price: ¥6 million (full) / ¥3 million (with 2-star contribution)
Dragon-Pattern Broadsword A6
Price: ¥20 million (full) / ¥10 million (with 2-star contribution)
Dragon-Pattern Broadsword A7
Price: ¥160 million (full) / ¥80 million (with 2-star contribution)
Dragon-Pattern Broadsword A8
Price: ¥2 billion (full) / ¥1 billion (with 2-star contribution)
Dragon-Pattern Broadsword A9 (S-tier)
Price: ¥30 billion (full) / ¥15 billion (with 2-star contribution)
Rowan noted that the pricing for this line was roughly the same as the Bloodshadow Blade series.
After some thought, he settled on the A7 model.
Crafted from Grade-7 Krol Alloy, the A7 could hold its own against a Low-Tier Lord-class beast without sustaining damage. Against anything below that level, it wouldn't even get scratched.
When it came to weapons, better quality always meant better survival chances.
Besides, with his first purchase from the Limit Marketplace qualifying for a half-price discount, he only had to pay ¥80 million for a weapon of this caliber a steal by any measure.
Having made his choice, Rowan immediately hit purchase.
He checked his bank account afterward: just over ¥300 million left.
"Only ¥300 million left… I'll have to be more frugal with the rest," he sighed.
Honestly, he had been hoping to go all-out deck himself in full SS-tier gear and feel the thrill of being a fully loaded power-player.
Too bad he hadn't sold the Extremis Virus formula yet.
Next, Rowan browsed the Psychic Weapon section.
There were many types: throwing knives, darts, flying swords, arrows, daggers, and more.
Of all these, throwing knives were by far the most popular.
Rowan opted for the classic S-shaped throwing knife. Compact, easy to carry, and versatile across a wide range of battle scenarios.
Series 5 Throwing Knife
Price: ¥50,000 (full) / ¥25,000 (with 2-star contribution)
Series 6
¥300,000 (full) / ¥150,000 (with 2-star contribution)
Series 7
¥3 million (full) / ¥1.5 million (with 2-star contribution)
Series 8
¥18 million (full) / ¥9 million (with 2-star contribution)
Series 9
¥45 million (full) / ¥22.5 million (with 2-star contribution)
Seeing the prices, Rowan's eyes lit up. These knives were surprisingly affordable!
A Series 9 throwing knife capable of piercing the defenses of even High-Tier Lord-class monsters only cost ¥45 million. At half-price, that was just ¥22.5 million.
After a quick calculation, Rowan decided to buy six Series 7 knives for everyday combat, plus one Series 9 knife for emergencies.
That would give him flexibility without breaking the bank.
With knives squared away, he moved on to combat suits armor sets including gauntlets, boots, and chest plates.
A full Series 5 combat suit cost ¥18 million. But it could only withstand attacks from Mid-Tier Beast Generals.
That didn't feel quite safe enough.
So he looked up the Series 6 and 7 sets.
Series 6: ¥200 million
Series 7: ¥1.5 billion
"¥1.5 billion for a Series 7 set? Yeah, not happening."
Given his dwindling funds, Rowan quickly crossed that off his wishlist.
"Alright then, Series 6 it is. Good enough to tank hits from High-Tier Beast Generals."
He hit purchase.
Even so, Rowan was already planning ahead: he needed vibranium and lots of it to craft a custom-built vibranium combat suit.
He had been eyeing the Black Panther's vibranium armor for a while now.
Not only was it insanely tough, but it could also absorb and store kinetic energy for counterattacks. Every warrior's dream.
With his armor in the bag, Rowan moved on to the final piece of essential gear: a shield.
Like armor, a good shield could be the difference between life and death.
He pulled up the listings:
Series 5 Pentagonal Shield
¥3 million (full) / ¥1.5 million (with 1-star contribution)
Series 6
¥20 million (full) / ¥10 million (with 2-star contribution)
Series 7
¥200 million (full) / ¥100 million (with 2-star contribution)
Without hesitation, Rowan bought the Series 7 shield.
Then, just to round things out, he picked up an expanded tactical backpack and a combat communication watch.
With that, he was fully geared up:
Series 6 Combat Suit
Series 7 Dragon-Pattern Broadsword
Series 7 Pentagonal Shield
Six Series 7 Throwing Knives
One Series 9 Throwing Knife
Rowan was now armed to the teeth.
Given his current strength and loadout, storming Wakanda solo might be a stretch but taking on Namor's undersea kingdom? That was doable.
"Man, being rich is the best."
Rowan finished shopping, feeling fresh and empowered.
When Luo Feng had first joined the Limit Hall and bought his own starter gear, he'd been calculating every expense down to the last coin. No way he could splurge like this.
Once the purchases were complete, Rowan entered a training chamber, lying flat in a meditative posture known as "Heavenward Five-Point Focus," and began cultivating genetic primal energy.
At the Warrior tier, basic exercises like push-ups and crunches no longer did much. Instead, warriors had to train in body refinement techniques, practice weapon arts, mobility styles, and most importantly cultivate their genetic energy.
Rowan didn't yet have a refinement technique manual, but that didn't stop him from training.
By around 6 PM, with no delivery in sight, Rowan gave up waiting.
He figured the volume of gear he'd ordered would take a while to pack and ship. Most likely, it would arrive the next day.
So, without further delay, he activated the Dual-Warp Ring and returned to the Marvel world.
