EXT. ORION CITY – SCHOOL ROOFTOP – LATE AFTERNOON
The sun was melting into gold behind Orion City's skyline as the Galaxy Sentinels sprawled across the rooftop after training.
Kael sat cross-legged near the ledge, watching the street below. Lyra was sketching in her notebook, Daiki lounging beside her with his ever-present toolkit. Zayn, Jett, and Rayna were passing a canteen of water between them.
Then —BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!
Zevor's voice crackled through their communicators.
ZEVOR (comms)Unidentified dimensional signal… approaching fast. Coordinates — directly above your position.
JETT(looking up)Uh… you mean here-here?
Before anyone could answer, a beam of blinding silver light split the sky, slamming into the rooftop.
Wind blasted outwards. The team shielded their eyes.
When the glow faded, five figures stood before them — armored, each bearing the crest of the Nova Force… but not quite like theirs.
THE FUTURE SENTINELS
The one in the center wore red armor, but his visor shape was unfamiliar. Beside him stood a sleek-armored pink ranger whose presence instantly drew Lyra's eye.
Flanking them were three other familiar silhouettes —Future Jett, Future Zayn, and Future Rayna… and to Lyra's shock — Future Daiki.
KAEL(tense)Alright… who are you?
The Red stepped forward, removing his helmet. He was about Kael's age, but carried himself like someone who had seen years of war.
FUTURE REDWe're Sentinels. Like you. But from… twenty years ahead.
The Pink removed her helmet next — smiling faintly at Lyra.FUTURE PINKAnd yes, it's going to sound crazy.
FUTURE ZAYN(to Present Zayn)We came because our Red… doesn't have his powers.
PRESENT ZAYN(frowning)That's… impossible. The Nova Shards choose their bearer.
FUTURE ZAYNNot always. In our timeline, his shard never awakened. We've fought for years without it — and it's cost us more than I can explain.
FUTURE JETT(grinning at his younger self)So we're here to change that. The only way to unlock it… is in your time.
DAIKI(pointing at his future self)Wait, wait, wait — how come he gets to be here?
FUTURE DAIKI(smirking)Guess I didn't listen to "stay in the base" forever.
PRESENT LYRA(groans)Oh, great. Double the trouble.
PRESENT JETT(to Kael, teasing)Betcha the future version calls you "Shin-nii-san" too.
FUTURE DAIKI(grinning)…Always.
The wind shifted, bringing the scent of rain — and the faint hum of their still-active time portal.
