Chapter 32 - LEAGUE ONE

Stepping out of his quarters, Jian didn't need to ask for directions—he had once been a disciple of this very sect. With quick strides, he arrived at a large building: the Library Hall. Within its walls lay countless compartments, including small lecture rooms.

He had received a note directing him here, where a lecture was being held to educate the outer court disciples.

The lecture room he entered consisted of nearly a hundred disciples—fifty girls and fifty boys.

He passed several lecture halls before finally stopping at the one inscribed League one.

Standing by the door, he immediately felt the weight of a hundred stares bearing down on him. But Jian was unfazed—their gazes meant nothing to him.

Suddenly one of the disciples recognized him,"isn't that the helper fucker" one disciple muttered prompting a stare of disgust from the rest as they all heard the rumor but not all of them had seen the face behind the scandal.

At the front, the instructor, a woman in her early forties, noticed the sudden shift of attention away from her session. Following her disciples' eyes to the doorway, she caught sight of Jian.

Her brows furrowed.

"You are late. The class started thirty minutes ago."

After a brief silence, she sighed.

"I'll let this slide today because of your master. But don't make it a habit."

She gestured with a nod for him to enter.

By now, the disciples were whispering among themselves, curious. Who could his master be? Elder Han Mei?

She was a member of the disciplinary team, second only to Fairy Mei Lian in authority—and notorious for her strictness.

Jian, however, only smiled inwardly. The woman before him was no stranger. He didn't see her as an elder but as a former rival.

During his own time as a disciple, she had always tried to outshine him. She wasn't an ally, and never had been.

Introduce your self elder Han Mei said as Jian entered the room. Entering the lecture room he spoke in a firm voice, "my name is Lou Jian this one here is a new disciple."

New disciple? And why is he here? We are hundred already, How is that possible some of the outer court disciples asked, oblivious to the perks that an elder has.

Enough of the bickering elder Han Mei said retrieving a chair from her spatial ring gesturing him with her hands he carried the chair to the back of the lecture room.

Looking around, Jian noticed that not much had changed since his days as a disciple, apart from the polished surfaces and a few minor renovations here and there.

"At certain points on the body," the instructor's steady voice rang out, "lie pleasure points. With the right application of spiritual energy, you can stimulate these areas and give your partner greater pleasure."

Her tone was calm, almost clinical, yet her words left the class buzzing with intrigue.

"You all know the drill," she continued. "There will be a small assessment."

The next moment, she lifted her hand. From her spatial ring, several humanoid dummies appeared, each one life-sized, smooth, and unnervingly lifelike.

With a simple gesture, she guided them through the air with her spiritual energy, sending one floating gently to each disciple in the hall.

"These dummies have been custom-made for this exercise. As you can see, they do not possess private parts. Your task is to stimulate them solely through the pleasure points, using spiritual energy projected from your body."

Her gaze shifted toward Jian, lingering on him for a brief moment before she added coldly:

"Lou Jian… I don't expect you to pass this assessment. It requires refined control of spiritual energy outside the body to properly activate the points. Even if you fail, you won't face punishment but at the same time you won't be awarded any point either."

This was how the Yin and Yang Unity Sect maintained its structure and competition among disciples. The outer court alone had nearly a hundred leagues, and advancement was dictated by one thing above all else—points.

Only disciples from League One lecture hall had the privilege of applying for the Inner Court examinations, which meant that placement within these leagues wasn't just symbolic, it was the dividing line between talented disciples to the rest and it was also a source of challenge to disciples to enable them improve on their selfs.

Points were earned through assessments, sect missions, and assigned tasks. They could also be awarded directly, creating a system of reward and merit.

However, the rules of transfer were strict,

Points could be transferred only from a higher-ranked disciple to one of lower standing. For example, a core disciple could share points with an inner court disciple, and an inner court disciple could do the same for an outer court disciple.

Transactions between equals were forbidden. An outer court disciple could not give points to another outer court disciple, and the same rule applied to those in the inner court.

The only exception lay with the core disciples, the highest tier among disciples. For them, points no longer held any determining weight in status or advancement. Their prestige came from strength, contribution, and the favor of the sect elders, not from the numeric tally of points but it was still needed for purchases from the sect treasury resources needed for advancement in their cultivation path.

Elder Han Mei continued and the highest score of this assessment will be awarded a whooping five thousand points but anyone able to surpass my own percentage being ninty one percent I will gift that individual a whooping hundred thousand points.

Jian was shocked not because of the astronomical points being awarded but he was surprised as he could clearly remember her point being ninety five percent, but he shrugged it off not seemingly knowing the reasons for her action. But the same couldn't be said for other disciples as they became excited noting the fact that a hundred thousand points was one of the requirements needed to apply for the inner court exam.

Jian, fully aware of how the sect system worked, pulled out his disciple token. Retrieved his disciples token glowing faintly on the polished jade surface was his current point tally—zero.

He stared at it for a moment, lips curling into a faint smirk. At first, he hadn't cared about the outcome of this trivial assessment.

But now, with his token baring nothing but emptiness, he realized how much he needed points for his plans. A lot of points at that. Just like that, this little exercise now looked far more enticing.

The next moment, Jian raised his hand.

Elder Han Mei, mid-step as she circled the class, turned her sharp gaze to him. "Lou Jian. Do you have a question?"

"Yes," Jian replied, tone steady, unhurried. "This assessment's only requirement… is to make the dummy experience pleasure, correct?"

A ripple of laughter broke out among the disciples.

"Did he just ask that?" one whispered mockingly.

"He doesn't even have the ability to channel his spiritual energy outward relying solely on his helper for pleasure. How could he hope to pass?" another snorted.

"Such a clown… desperate for attention."

Their ridicule grew into a chorus of scoffs and chuckles, echoing across the room.

Elder Han Mei's eyes narrowed. She didn't speak, but her gaze swept over the noisy disciples. The weight of her authority was enough to drag silence back into the hall.

"Yes," she finally said, her voice clipped but clear. "That is the requirement. As long as the dummy registers the correct response, the method used is irrelevant."

Jian gave a slow nod. "Good. That's all I needed to know."

Then, without another word, he leaned back slightly, his gaze fixing on the wooden dummy before him.
