Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: The Selfish and Rude Tang Hao

"Master, ten days is the maximum the committee can grant. If, by then, the Shrek team has not recovered, then for your own safety, you'd best withdraw."

Salas had no intention of bowing to Yu Xiaogang's demands. Even if Yu had once been the youngest elder of Spirit Hall, that was nothing more than a bygone honor.

The real reason ran deeper—Tang San was a once-in-a-century twin spirit wielder. More than that, his second spirit was the legendary Clear Sky Hammer. And Spirit Hall's feud with the Clear Sky Clan was irreconcilable. How could Salas ever allow Tang Hao's son to walk away unscathed?

"This… this—!"

Yu Xiaogang nearly choked on his own fury at the obvious favoritism from the three committee elders and Salas. His face turned red as words failed him. At last, he slammed the door open and stormed out, leaving the tournament office without a backward glance.

...

Two days later.

As Ignaz strolled the capital with Dugu Yan, Ye Lingling, and Du Weilun's daughter, a black figure suddenly swept past them, halting against a wall. His voice was cold, laced with menace:

"You're Ignaz. Come with me. I've something to discuss."

"You are?"

Ignaz eyed the black-robed man. His sharp tone, his bearing—everything pointed to one possibility: Tang Hao.

Here? In the heart of Heaven Dou's capital? The man must be mad to try something against me here.

"Brother Iggy, let's go. He doesn't look like any good sort. Probably a fraud."

Dugu Yan's brows knitted. She had never met someone so brazen, demanding strangers follow him as if he were owed obedience.

"Indeed. If senior truly has urgent business, he may find me at the Royal Academy. For now, we'll take our leave."

Ignaz knew well why Tang Hao had come—vengeance for his precious son, Tang San. To keep the man from turning murderous toward him or the three women at his side, Ignaz put on a respectful front.

The plan: retreat quickly to the Academy. Once within its walls, even Tang Hao would have to think twice.

"The women can go. You stay."

Tang Hao gave no room for refusal. A wave of Titled Douluo-level pressure crashed down, suffocating Ignaz.

Iggy's right hand began to glow, a miniature Blood-Thunder Spear forming in his palm, his domain ready to activate—when a commanding voice cut through the pressure from above:

"A Titled Douluo bullying juniors—is that fitting?"

"Grandfather, Senior Dugu!"

The four of them looked up with relief. Their savior descended—Dugu Bo. The oppressive weight lifted at once.

"Your cultivation was not easily won," Dugu Bo said coldly. "With children present, I'll spare you. But if you dare again to oppress the young, I'll kill you outright."

"Old poison, you dare lecture me?"

Tang Hao's right hand lifted, the Clear Sky Hammer manifesting, red patterns glowing along its surface. Dugu Bo's eyes widened.

"You… you're the Clear Sky Douluo."

"That's right, old poison. It's me."

Pulling back his hood, Tang Hao smirked at the fear in Dugu Bo's eyes.

"Tang Hao, you are a Titled Douluo. Yet you come here to crush children? Too much."

"Who dares harm my son deserves no mercy. I've already been lenient, letting the women go. As for Ignaz, my demand is simple—whatever he did to my boy, I'll do the same to him."

His arrogance was suffocating. Dugu Bo's face darkened. This so-called "junior" of the Clear Sky Clan not only mocked him as old poison but also hounded the youth he had accepted as a grandson-in-law.

"Iggy and Tang San fought by their own choice. Injuries are part of battle—"

"Hurting my son, and he still has reason? Old poison, if you insist on protecting him, I'll kill you first, then settle with him."

Tang Hao's aura surged, the Clear Sky Hammer raised high.

"Iggy brat!" Dugu Bo shouted back. "Take them and run to the Royal Academy. This selfish madman knows no restraint!"

"Yes, Grandfather!"

Ignaz seized the three women and retreated swiftly.

"You think you can escape?" Tang Hao roared, leaping after them.

"Not unless you get through me!" Dugu Bo planted his feet.

"Snake Vines, Skyshield!"

The Poison Dragon coiled into a vast green shield, blocking Tang Hao's strike. Then Dugu Bo's sixth spirit ring flared.

"Venomous Dragon's Ruin!"

A jet of black energy roared from his maw, slamming into Tang Hao.

Tang Hao's fifth spirit ability flared, the Clear Sky Hammer amplifying in destructive might as he swung into the blast.

Buildings collapsed around them from the impact. Though Tang Hao dispersed the attack, the energy carried poison. Looking at his palm, he saw it already blackened, toxins spreading like wildfire.

"Arghhh!"

He roared in pain, barely suppressing the venom, before vaulting into the air and fleeing Heaven Dou City.

"Think you'll get away?"

Dugu Bo launched into pursuit, his killing intent sharp. Tang Hao's arrogance and rudeness would cost him dearly.
