Chapter 3 - this is not Fair

Ren approaches the giant sitting arrogantly on a massive throne.

"What are you?... This is kinda awkward."

The giant leans forward, his massive face inches from Ren's.

A sly smile forms on his lips, dripping with ill intent.

"I told you already. What your kind calls 'legends'... is but a whisper in the depths of Hell. That's what I am."

Ren rolls his eyes.

"I meant, what are you? You're clearly not human. So what are you? What did you do to me? And where the hell is this place? Am I dead?"

The giant slams his hand down next to Ren, shaking the ground.

"Too many questions. And I have the desire to answer none.

Yet, I'll show you my generous side... by answering three of them."

He returns to his seat, crossing one leg over the other, staring at Ren with a mix of pity and disgust. He raises his hand, summoning three floating flames above his throne.

Ren hesitates.

"Okay... What is happening to me? Why can't I die?"

The giant smirks.

"Human, the reason you didn't die is because I am interested in forming a contract with you. If you ask me why... I shall not answer that."

One of the flames vanishes with a flicker.

Ren gulps.

"Alright… but what are you?"

"I already answered a version of that, but it seems your curiosity is insatiable.

I go by many names, but you may call me Agoon, the Titan of Return.

It means I wield power over all things that return to their origin—matter, time, existence."

Another flame dies out.

Ren watches in panic as the last flame dims, realizing he has only one more question.

"...Is all this even real?"

The moment the words leave his lips, a massive shard pierces him from nowhere—splitting him in half.

"Does this feel fake, human?" the Titan mocks.

As Ren's vision fades, he sees three things:

The last extinguished flame…

The other half of his body thrown to the ground…

And the devilish Titan staring at him with cold eyes.

The weight of the situation crashes down. All he can do is scream—a scream so loud it could shatter the sky itself.

Then silence. Darkness. A vacuum pulling him deep into the subconscious.

Until...

A voice echoes in the void:

> "Hey, human. I will give you one last mission—to prove you are worthy of my gift.

Bring me a fragment by this time tomorrow… and you will officially become my contractor.

Fail… and you will—"

Ren whispers to himself:

"What the hell is he talking about? I'm going to die... I'm going to day"

As the release Wash over him one word goes through his mind I'm going to day

He blinks.

Once.

Twice.

Three times—each blink marked by the ticking of a wall clock.

His heartbeat accelerating , his body sweating, his eyes tearing up

He opens his eyes and finds himself lying in his room. On his bed.

He screams:

"AHHHHHHHH!!"

---

His mother bursts into the room, still wearing her pajamas and sleep mask.

"What happened!?"

"Huh?… Nothing, Mom. Just a bad dream."

"Ren, you can't be serious. You woke me up because of some fuck-ass dream?"

"I'm sorry, Mom..."

"...Do you need anything? A teddy bear? A hug? A glass of water?"

"N— Actually, a glass of water would be amazing."

"Fine. But get back to sleep. You've got school tomorrow."

She closes the door.

Ren exhales, rubbing his temples.

Then he sees it.

A piece of paper lying on his bed—with writing on it.

> How to Get the Fragment:

> Step One: Locate it.

You'd never find it in a million years, so I've marked the nearest one for you.

> Step Two: Touching the fragment will open a portal.

Only you—or those like you—can pass through.

> Step Three: Kill everything inside the gate and reach the core.

> Step Four: Press your chest to teleport to Dimension Zero—my realm.

> Final Step: Become my contractor.

> That's all you need.

At the bottom: Coordinates.

And a drawing of a dagger.

---

Ren kneels in the middle of his room, trembling.

"How the hell am I supposed to kill monsters?"

He stares at the dagger drawing on the paper.

"...No way."

He presses it once.

Then twice.

A hand emerges from the page, grabs his wrist, and drags out a glowing dagger.

"Holy shit."

Ren tries to shake it off—no luck.

Then he hears footsteps. His mother again.

"Shit. I can't let her see this…stay calm..stay clam"

He jumps to the bad try to cover himself but the blanket was so far

He puts his hand on his head in shock.

"Shit"

He hides the knife behind

And but the Best sleepy face ha can make

She opens the door as he lies back on the bed, hiding his hand behind him.

His heart beating as it going to come out of his chest

"Hey, Mom...umm… where's the water?"

She raises an eyebrow but hands it to him.

"Here you go, sweetie."

Ren pulls his arm around and takes the cup.

She frowns.

"I've raised you since the day you thought dinosaurs breathed fire.

And you expect me to fall for a cheap trick like that?"

"Mom, I can explain—"

But she just stares at his hand… sees nothing.

"Huh. I guess you were just scratching your butt. Anyway, night. See you in the morning."

She shuts the door.

Ren looks at the strange dagger again.

"...She can't see you.

I see. I see."

He sits on his knees on the floor examining The dagger in front of him, the cold of the room and the moonlight coming through the window are the only two things he feels at these moments

"Well, I don't think I have to worry about hiding you from my mother anymore.what even are you a ghost dagger "

He kept staring at the dagger in front of him,

He pats him twice and finds him sinking to the floor of his room.

"Wow"

He finds a red dot on the ground. That dot moves in the path his hand is moving in.

Points to the wall and then claps

The dagger quickly comes out and heads for his right hand.

"Huh cool you know after everything happened to me today I guess you're not that scary"

He places the sword on the paper and pats it twice, then it returns to the paper.

This is what about this coordinates? He searches through it and finds a group of numbers..

He goes to the computer and searches for it. His fingers move quickly across the keyboard. "Okay this the place..Eh?"

He stopped for a moment, as if time itself had stopped with him, his eyes shining in the reflection of the computer screen.

"Is that my school?"

He takes several steps back from the computer...

"Please tell me I'm crazy. "
