Dinner had been painfully awkward, and in true Tina fashion, her idea of breaking the ice was simple - give in to her cravings and ask for ice cream.
~umm,I'm really craving chocolate ice cream for dessert... but this probably isn't the best time, is it?~
Tina glanced over the dessert menu the waiter had just brought, already thinking labout what sweet treat she wanted next. Meanwhile, Andrew's mind was elsewhere — focused on things far more serious than dessert.
~oh naur *ha ha* my cleo side came out but seriously oh no,I thought I could talk her into maybe faking our marriage to our parents or something but this is seriously awkward and worst of all we've got to live together. But they're seriously rich, I can't believe they just bought her a mansion like that~
Before he could continue talking to himself,Tina interrupted his thoughts.
"Do you want anything for dessert?, I already ordered for chocolate ice cream."
Andrew was seriously dumbfounded at the question Tina just asked.
~Is she serious right now?,I'm here racking my brain of how awkward this situation is and she's asking me about ice cream?,if that's how she wants to play then I'm all in~
"I would love a yoghurt parfait,thank you"
To be honest Tina wasn't playing any game she honestly just wanted her ice cream but Andrew had already misunderstood her and kept staring at Tina as if he had that feminine urge to bash her head into a wall and that made Tina very uncomfortable.
"Why do you keep staring at me like that?, do you perhaps need some something?
"Nope,I'm just so happy that I'm going to get married and go home together with such a beautiful alpha."
"Thank goodness,I thought you wanted my head or something.*ha ha* "
~Is she serious?,I don't know whether to feel offended or proud that she actually fell for that.~
After the awkward dinner with Andrew fighting with himself and Tina absolutely ignoring him but at last,it was time to finally go to their new home.
"Where did you park your car?"
Andrew asked while crossing his arms, they were now outside the restaurant and ready to go home.
"Umm,why do you think i have a car ?"
"Well probably because your mother just bought a freaking mansion for us as a wedding gift,so where is it?"
"It's right over there"
Tina said as she pointed to a 2025 Rolls Royce spectre(electric) parked at a VIP slot,Andrew didn't waste any time to get inside the car totally mesmerized by it.When they got home,Tina felt like something was wrong so she tried to make it better by asking Andrew if he was upset.
"Umm,are you upset about something?"
"Do i look like I'm upset?"
"Well,you kind of do."
"Well, it might be because I've been trying to start a conversation with you that might lead to you not wanting this marriage then I'll tell you that i feel the same way then we can find a way to deceive our parents together but it's been so damn awkward so I've decided to stop trying and just find another way and I'll also show you my true self and guess what?, it's as bad as hell and you'll be begging to cut off the engagement."
He said as he got out of the car leaving Tina literally speechless, but well he couldn't exactly get inside the new house by himself,he had to wait for Tina since she was the only one that knew the passcode(Her mother told her before she left the restaurant).Tina had finally got out of car after leaving her shocked state.
"*clears throat* Don't you want to go inside?"
Andrew just looked at her as if she had just asked if the earth was flat, but then he pointed to the home key lock, without having to say anything Tina had gotten the message.
"Oh right."
Immediately after Tina opened the door,Andrew was amazed by how big and fancy the house was but his amazement was cut short when Tina tapped his shoulder.
"*scoffs* What do you want?"
"Well,Since we'll be living together from now on, i thought we should know each other's schedules, so what time do go to work and what time do you get off from work?,Omg that was so rude of me I should tell you mine first, my mornings are basically a war zone,Up at six, quick shower, pet Neko Neko, check emails, plan my day… by eight I'm out the door for meetings, calls, and business chaos. Power lunch at noon if I survive that far."
Andrew answered.
"Mm… sounds exhausting. My day's way simpler. Wake up whenever, do errands, chill… maybe nap around three. Then I start work at seven, mix drinks, survive the crowd, and crash at two in the morning. Night owl life, you know?"
Tina tilted her head, smiling.
"So basically, we live in different time zones under the same roof."
Andrew chuckled, stretching.
"Exactly. Which means in the morning, you're getting up for work while I'm asleep."
" Do you have any off days?"
"I get mondays and tuesdays off"
"Right."
It had gotten really awkward again, the air around them was still and cold like ice cream but Tina seems to always have a way to make it better?
"There are a lot of rooms on the first and second floor so even though we're engaged now,it doesn't mean we have to sleep in the same room so well-umm you can pick any room you like."
Tina fidgeted and stuttered while Andrew seemed to again misunderstand her words.
"Oh, don't you want to sleep in the same room as me?"
He said as pretended to be sad about it.
"What?,no,that was not what i meant, I meant that if you don't want to,you don't have to."
"I don't have a problem with it so I don't see why you should,unless?"
Andrew really stretched the word 'unless' that it made Tina want to force the remaining word out of him but she remembered that she has to use her words not her fist.
"*ugh!!* Spit it out already."
"Unless you're a virgin."
"Seriously?,For your information, I was actually saving for marriage."
"Wait-what?,You've never?.*Pfft-hahahaha!
The laugh echoed in the big mansion which most certainly did not make Tina feel very good.
"Oh no.Oh wow,You're serious."
He straightened up, finally letting go of his stomach, and theatrically wiped a fake tear from his eye.
"That's...that's adorable.Tragic,but adorable."
They finally left the hallway behind and made their way upstairs toward their room. The silence was thick, their footsteps echoing softly on the marble floor.Standing before the door, Andrew smirked.
"So... we're really sharing a room now."
Tina swallowed nervously.
"Yeah. I guess we don't have much choice, since my mom made sure only one room was fully decorated, this is the only place that feels like home."
Andrew chuckled, but there was a hint of teasing in his voice.
"This is going to be… interesting."
She unlocked the door and stepped inside, motioning for him to follow.
The room was vast and tastefully decorated, but suddenly it felt smaller, maybe it was because of the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air.
Andrew eyed the large bed. "Where do you want me to sleep?"
Tina bit her lip, cheeks flushing. "I… I guess we'll share."
His eyebrows rose. "Really?"
She nodded, avoiding his gaze. "I'm new to this Andrew. So… I'm not sure what to do exactly."
That admission hung between them, heavy and awkward.
Andrew smirked, trying to lighten the mood. "Don't worry, you're not alone in the 'clueless' club."
They both laughed, but it was a nervous sound.
They sank into the bed slowly, the silence between them heavier than the blankets.
Tina curled into her side of the bed, avoiding Andrew's eyes. He lay stiffly, one arm draped awkwardly over the covers.
Minutes passed. Then an uncomfortable silence.
"Uh… do you want me to turn off the light?"
Tina finally asked.
Andrew nodded quickly.
"Please."
With a snap of her fingers, the lights went out.
"Cool"
Andrew muttered.
The room plunged into darkness. Every tiny noise seemed amplified - the tick of the clock, their breathing, the rustle of sheets.
Neither spoke again.
The first light of dawn crept through the curtains, casting pale shadows across the room. Tina lay on her back, eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling as her thoughts raced. Andrew, on the other side of the bed, shifted uncomfortably under the covers, trying not to disturb the fragile silence.
Andrew stretched, clearing his throat.
"So… how did you sleep?"
Tina hesitated, then gave a small shrug.
"Awkwardly."
He chuckled softly.
"Yeah, me too."
There was a pause before Tina asked softly.
"Are you… still okay with all this?"
Andrew looked over at her, genuine warmth in his eyes.
"Of course. It's awkward now, sure, but we'll figure it out,I'm still going to find a way out of this engagement—if there's even a chance.
Tina smiled faintly, relief washing over her. Just then, faint footsteps sounded from downstairs-the house beginning to stir.
Andrew raised an eyebrow.
"Sounds like someone's inside the house."
