This is the tale of Maximus Knight, once branded as the weakest hunter in the world, with a rank lower than even the lowest—E-Rank [Negative]. A walking failure. Forgotten by the system. Rejected by society.
That is… until fate comes knocking.
Years after a global disaster known as The Leak, where rifts called Caves tore open across the earth and summoned monsters into our world, Maximus is suddenly chosen by the Hunter Association.
Why?
Because every other hunter is gone. Trapped. Busy. Or dead.
And the only one left… is him.
Sent on a mission that's meant to be a death sentence, Maximus fights against impossible odds. Somehow, against all logic, he succeeds—but at the cost of his life. He dies a forgotten hero… a promise left unfulfilled.
Until he wakes up—reborn in his fifteen-year-old body, with memories of the future and a mysterious System that saved him once before.
Now, he returns home, reconnects with his long-lost family, and enters the newly formed Bladelight Hunter Academy—an elite institution built after the Leak to train the next generation of hunters. But as secrets unravel, Maximus realizes he's not just here to train.
