It had been five days since Caelum had left the prison on an errand. It had also been 5 days since the prisoners at Redboiler prison had been treated badly by their new chief.
Although it was only temporary, there seemed to be nothing they could do to fight back. Afraid that it would be reported to Caelum and they would be punished twice for what they had done.
Or perhaps one of them was waiting for the right time.
The days went on as usual, the prisoners going about their business from morning until noon. Sarah was assigned to watch over them as temporary chief for the day. In two days Caelum would return, and for some reason the intensity of Sarah's cruelty had increased.
It was as if she didn't want to quit her current position or leave Redboiler Prison.
