Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Golden

"She… she killed him…" another cultivator stammered, trembling.

"I won't say it again," Mina said, her voice cold. "Give me Bei Sing, or I'll slaughter every last one of you."

She pulled down her hood, revealing her face fully. The cultivators froze. She was an extremely beautiful brown skinned woman who even made them forget she was an enemy. But despite her beauty she had a lot of scars all over her body even on her face. What's more she wore an armour that covered most of her body.

"Warn the others! An assassin's on board!!" a man screamed finally coming to his senses.

Mina smiled faintly. "I guess I should've gone with the quiet approach… but that's not my style."

Five cultivators lunged at her, blades flashing.

"Such arrogance!" one shouted. "Don't blame us when you're left without a body to bury!"

Mina's eyes narrowed. "Oh, sweethearts… I doubt you'll even have time to worry about me."

In a blur, she moved, dodging strikes, parrying blades, and countering their sword attacks with her metal knuckles bracers. One man's skull caved under her punch. Another screamed as she shattered his arm and fell to the ground and seizing the opportunity she stomped on his head crushing his skull to mush.

Blood splattered across her bracers and boots, but she didn't care but simply stared calmly at the dead bodies before her.

"Now then," Mina whispered, winking. "Turn to stone for me."

Instantly, the other cultivators froze, flesh hardening into stone in an instant.

"H-how… how is that possible…" gasped the last one still standing, trembling and soaked in fear.

"Oh, you finally decided to show your ugly mug," Mina said coldly, turning toward Bei Sing as he stepped forward.

He was a tall, muscular man with a long beard and sharp brown eyes that was filled with killing intent.

"An assassin dares to attack my ship and disciples? You're courting death," Bei said coldly, his aura flaring, a crushing wave of energy revealing his Late Star Realm cultivation.

Anyone else would've quivered. Mina only laughed.

"Ahahaha! Were you seriously trying to flex with that sorry excuse of a cultivation?" she mocked, her laughter echoing across the deck. Then her own aura erupted, golden coloured.

Everyone who came from inside the shop with Bei Sing fell to their knees as the ship trembled.

"She's… a Golden Core?!" Bei stammered, his face draining of color. "H-how's that possible?!"
