Most avaricious people are afraid of parting with their possessions and once they experience the ease of life, they will long for something more luxurious than they currently have. Bryan, who has very lofty ambitions, is no different.
When his father's sister, Auntie Anne, adopted him, he began to fantasize about how simple his life would be.
He was initially content to give the couple, who provided him with a decent life by working hard at their jobs, all he had, especially when his uncle Solomon put him in charge of their farm produce's processing department.
However, with the birth of John, his aunt Anne's only son, everything began to change. He became aware that his foster parents were no longer paying much attention to him.
He so made the decision to go see his biological parents one day in order to air his frustrations. And there he expressed his grievances, which were initially just an outburst of resentment until, at the instigation of his biological mother, he and his father devised a plan to restore everything to its previous state, that is, by removing John from the picture, who was almost giving him the attention that should have been his.
Once the time had come for them to carry out their plan, he consented to let John go hunting with him in the woods, and he did just that. He purposefully tripped John, and after he sustained some injuries, he brought him to the cliff's edge on his way home while feigning that they were there to care to his injuries.
Upon arriving at the highest point of the cliff, he shoved him. When he saw him fall and hit his head on big rocks, he waited for nearly 30 minutes to watch John fall. Once he was certain that he was no longer moving, he believed that John had died. He then went back to their Aunt Anne's house to tell her that John had an accident and that he lost consciousness as well, so he was unable to prevent him from sliding down the cliff.
However, when John's body was retrieved in the cliff, despite his injuries, he was surprised to see that his foster brother was still alive.
With the assistance of his real father, he devised a second plot while John was recuperating in the hospital since it was even worse that his foster parent would discover what he had done to his foster brother.
And now when he believed their strategy was perfect, they were surprised to see the odd John standing in front of them. Despite the fact that the two individuals he had decapitated were in front of him, a demon-like John hardly moved and did not even blink his eyes doing the brutal slaughter.
"Who are you?" "You're not John, are you?" A little worried, he asked.
He tried to convince himself that he wasn't his foster brother, who depended on him for practically everything.
Bryan was taken aback by what he witnessed, but his father recovered from the event right after. Some of his other employees hurried to Bryan's office after hearing another yell.
His four men discovered their two friend's dead and the two severed heads on the ground when the door opened.
"Sir! What happened?"
"Don't look at me that way! Kill that youngster immediately!" Benny yelled at his guys.
"Eh, sir, what happened to Oscar and Rowdy?"
"Don't ask too many questions. Just follow my orders, idiot!"
"Yes, yes sir!"
'Are you sure about what you're going to do?' John asked the four newcomers softly. Despite the two persons he had just slain being in front of him, John's face maintained a fairly composed expression throughout the events.
The four people were a little unsure after hearing from John and observing his aura.
"Stupid people! What are you holding out for?" Bryan yelled with fear.
John had already achieved his objective of making the four doubt themselves this time. He was aware that he couldn't defeat all four at once with the powers of his present body, but instead of displaying this, he used his vast combat expertise to come up with a solution right away with the aid of his virtual assistant.
At Bryan's yell of order, John was soon encircled by his four men.
While John only nodded and prepared, his virtual assistant was keeping an eye on what was going on outside, particularly his father's position, which was close by and had already neutralized Benny and Bryan's guys.
'Guys, I am giving you an opportunity.' John calmly said to the four men in the front.
'I will explain to my father that you accompanied these two disloyal father and son here because you and your family were coerced and threatened, and I will pardon your error.'
A handful of the four hesitated, but they were compelled to hurry in after hearing someone who was fiercely devoted to Benny and Bryan yell.
With a sudden burst of movement, John rapidly got to the person in front of him. Because of his slightly smaller frame, he docked and slashed his dagger upwards, hitting the victim from the chest to the neck. The man instantly dropped, dead.
Slash! Swish!
With another explosion of force, John was immediately in front of the other person next to him before the body of the first man he attacked hit the ground.
Slash! Blag!
His second opponent was similarly insta-killed and collapsed again.
Instantaneously, after that explosive attacks, John had already moved a few meters away from their location before the other two's strike could reach him.
As a result, the attacks of remaining two person could not be stopped on time, both opponents suffered severe injuries to their necks and shoulders as their blades and machetes collided with each other.
Ahhh! Ahhhhhh!
The person with the knife wound on his neck was already hissing blood in his throat, nearly gurgling his own blood in his mouth, the one with the machete wound on his shoulder instantly writhed in agony.
On the other hand, John's still-weak body sustained internal damage during the outburst of that strike as a result of the high mobility attacks he used from his future self. His energy reserves were instantly exhausted as a result, and he became pale and his legs began to nearly quiver. The very act of rising up was exhausting little strength he still had left.
Despite nearly all of his major organs suffering internal damage from being pushed past their limits, John maintained his strength and stayed upright.
Benny chose to let his son go right away after realizing that their position was unstable and that his guys had little chance.
"Go right now, Bryan; I'll take care of this!" He told his son right away.
After considering his options and hesitating for a while, Bryan took up the money-containing bag and tapped a secret button on the back of his cabinet behind the desk, which revealed a secret tunnel to his office.
Since John had trouble moving, he allowed him to go and simply stood there, watching Benny's movements. This was done to keep the person in front of him from realizing how bad things were.
"CV".
'Yes master.'
"How far away is my father?"
While he was in such state, Benny abruptly charged at him while brandishing a knife weapon that was about half a meter long.
BOOM! BLAG!
Benny's attacked was desperate but decisive, since it involves his son – Bryan future. But just as his strikes was about to hit John, he abruptly stopped in position when he was just a meter or so from John and the knife's edge was just a few millimeters from John's neck. His knife refused to move closer John's neck skin no matter what he did.
"You truly have guts to take this action within my house!"
A booming voice nearly broke Benny's eardrum.
Solomon entered floating in midair, shattering the door.
Shortly after, Benny's body was struck by an extremely powerful force, and it burst in front of John.
His body erupted like fireworks, and then everything in it turned into tiny flames that burst, burning him up and turning him to ashes before he hit the ground. However, despite the fact that this occurred in front of John, it appeared as though not a single portion of Benny's bursting corpse struck John.
That was when John's body failed and he lost consciousness while he was waiting for that time, his body began to gently drop to the ground, but his father caught him before it could.
When John woke up, the first thing he saw was his father's face.
John felt an energy enter his body that calmed his emotions when he smiled at him.
'Hey, son, how are you?'
'I believe I'm all right, dad.'
'Hmmnn. Good son.'
'Why did not you inform me about what occurred to you and your stepbrother? I conducted my own research and am aware of the true circumstances surrounding your case.'
'I'm sorry dad, but I don't want mom to be depressed, because I know that if she learns about my stepbrother deed, she would be upset.' John's justification to his dad.
Because of his knowledge of the future, he was able to determine the actual extent of his father's power and was unable to conceal anything from him; as a result, he chose to tell him the truth.
'I witnessed what you did from the outside, son. Although your martial skills are adequate, we still need to work on your physique.'
'I will create a workout program specifically for your body; we must strengthen your weakened constitution.'
'Yes, thanks, dad. Uncle Benny would have murdered me by now if you hadn't shown up on time.'
'That will not happen, son.' Solomon's resistance to what his son has just expressed.
'Anyway, let's get going immediately. Your mother is undoubtedly very anxious at the moment.'
'Additionally, we shouldn't discuss this problem with your mother, particularly with regard to Bryan.'
"In any case, he's already gone."
'When we get back, I'll explain to your mother what happened here.'
"I admire your foresight, son; it's especially necessary for your personal growth."
After investigating the situation personally, Solomon realized that his son needed to be more focused on avoiding the same tragedy that almost killed him. He needed to believe in his own abilities and not in anybody else, not even his brothers or relatives.
Their family has to be ready for the many more challenges that lie ahead, especially for John.
