The fateful day had arrived, a day destined to change the fate of Persia and perhaps all of Asia. In the heart of the kingdom of Anshan, the grand and magnificent hall of the palace was filled with the elders of Persia and the chieftains of Media; an unprecedented gathering arranged for the unveiling of "Ahura Mazda's gifts" to little Kourosh. The scent of incense and rosewater mingled with the aroma of Persian delicacies in the air, and the light of tall torches cast the long shadows of the towering Persian and Median figures onto the carved walls and stone columns, as if each shadow narrated an untold story of the future. In the middle of the hall, a small, simple yet ornate platform stood, upon which three books with fine leather covers and uniform white pages were displayed, as if hiding a treasure of light and wisdom within them.
From every Persian tribe, representatives were present in magnificent garments and tribal adornments. The dignified leaders of the Pasargadae, with their silk robes and royal insignia, and the elders of the Maraphii and Maspii, with serious and curious faces, sat in the front rows. From the Ariaramnes branch, Arsames, Kourosh's wise uncle, sat with dignity and thoughtfulness, and beside him were his sons, Hystaspes and Pharnaces I, their gazes full of curiosity and eagerness to see their cousin's achievements. Otanes, Cassandane's brother, also looked around with his sharp eyes, and Bagapates, a strong youth with military talent, sat beside his kinsmen, each awaiting a great event.
From the nomadic and mountain-dwelling tribes, the leaders of the Pantialei, Derousiaioi, Germanii, Dai, Mardii, and Sagartii were also present in the back sections of the hall, with the traditional and colorful clothes of their tribes. Their faces showed a mixture of curiosity, anticipation, and sometimes doubt. They were rarely invited to such gatherings to witness the achievements of a child, and this in itself was questionable, raising questions in their minds. Whispers of amazement and sometimes disbelief were heard among them, but all were waiting to see what this young prince, who had returned with the wisdom of the mountains, had in mind and what he had to present.
The Median chiefs, too, with their own particular splendor, were seated in another section of the hall. The Magi of the Magian tribe, with their long white robes and tall hats, shone in the midst of the assembly, their gazes mostly fixed on the "Achaemenid Avesta" that lay on the platform; gazes that showed a mixture of curiosity and concern about the threat to their traditions. The elders of the Busae, Paraetaceni, Struchates, Arizanti, and Budii were also present with grandeur and majesty, awaiting the words of the king of Anshan. Some looked upon this "childish" display with contempt, considering it nothing more than a game, while others did not hide their curiosity and sought to discover the secret of this gathering.
Cambyses, the king of Anshan, walked towards his throne with slow and steady steps. His magnificent robe shone in the torchlight, and his ornate helmet proclaimed his royal majesty. With a dignity befitting a ruler, he silently sat on his chair and then cast a look full of pride and affection at his son Kourosh, who stood beside him. In a clear and majestic voice that echoed throughout the hall and commanded silence, he began his speech: "Elders of Persia, leaders of Media, welcome to this great assembly. Today is a day that will change the destiny of Persia and perhaps all of Asia; a day when wisdom will pave the way for power and glory. My son, Kourosh, in whom Ahura Mazda has placed his Divine Glory, has brought treasures of wisdom for our nation. What you will see today is neither magic nor a childish game; but a new dawn for an age of knowledge and power."
After Cambyses's speech, a heavy and breathtaking silence filled the hall. All eyes, from the nobles to the shepherds, were fixed on the small platform and the three leather-bound books. Cambyses, with a gentle and loving gesture towards his son, asked him to step forward. Little Kourosh, with a stature still small but with the piercing gaze and calmness of a ruler, walked towards the platform. He stood beside the books and, with his eyes, scanned every face present in the hall; from his loyal friends to his envious rivals and the cautious elders. This moment was the beginning of another silent revolution; a revolution that was destined to change the world with words and wisdom, and to immortalize the name of Kourosh in history forever.
Kourosh, with a strange calm and a confidence that stemmed from his vast knowledge, reached for the first book, "The Comprehensive Dictionary of New Persian." By touching its leather cover, it was as if he was connecting with the spirit of wisdom. His gaze remained fixed on the book, and then, in a clear and pleasant voice that resonated throughout the hall, he began to speak. He spoke of the importance of knowledge, of the necessity of literacy for all, and of the power of words in building a bright future. The elders, who did not expect such words from a child, listened to him with open mouths and staring eyes. Some nodded in amazement, and others, in disbelief, looked at each other. This moment was the beginning of the shattering of old walls and the birth of a new light.
