# Chapter 70
Aphrodite’s chariot was still floating above the celestial palace. The two goddesses, who knew the whole story of what had happened to Ares, were just sitting still, sunk in silence. They could clearly hear Ares’ voice confessing his love for Eutostea. Aphrodite listened to everything, without grimacing her beautiful face, even once.
‘Mother.’
Psyche stared at her, with a puzzled expression.
“I knew it was the golden arrow from the beginning.”
Aphrodite wiped out the tear running down her cheek. Except for that one drop, nothing fell down anymore. She threw a dull glance at the scene under the vehicle and then took her eyes off the man’s back lingering in her sight.
“I saw everything, so now let’s get out of here. We must return the arrow before Eros notices it.”
The swan flapped its wings at her signal. When the white wings moved up and down relaxedly, the vehicle accelerated its movement.
