@ch.6 The Frosty Battlefield
“Get yourself together! Eutostea! Are you going to throw yourself into the river by choice for that water to tear you to pieces?”
Dionysus grabbed her waist, with a deathly pale face. The whirlpool rotating violently as if to shred her body subsided. The river god vanished into thin air. Only the female cow’s hoof prints left on the riverside proved that he was here. The stepping stones appeared like an ice rink. Eutostea thought the path was open. She tried to walk toward it. But Dionysus wouldn’t let her go. He tightened his arms around her waist.
“Don’t go. You shouldn’t go. Please no. Eutostea,” he whispered in a low voice. It seemed like he was saying it to himself.
