Eutostea, the third princess of Thebes, is visited by the mysterious guest calling himself the God Apollo in bed. In pitch-black darkness, only an outline of him said, “I have come to share a one-night love with you. Once the night passes, you will not remember me, nor shall we meet ever again.” Soon, the three princesses band together to reveal his face while he is sleeping. But the candlewax melts off the tip of the candle in Eutostea’s hand and falls on the god’s shoulder. Apollo wakes, grabs the second princess, declaring, “Princess of Thebes, admire to your heart’s content. ‘Tis the face of the mere shell you sought so dearly.”

The three sisters thoroughly kept their mouths shut about the supernatural phenomenon last night. 


Eutostea, who was ignorant about the situation outside her bedroom, asked how her sisters had dealt with the bunch of guards in front of the room. Askitea said she ordered her maid to add a sleep-inducing plant to their dinner meals. 


As a result, the guards were deeply asleep, shoving their noses onto their spears, until the roosters crowed in the morning. The princesses should have called in the royal guards for help if they couldn’t handle the situation, but courageously or maybe recklessly, Eutostea’s sisters decided to put all the guards to sleep and carried it into effect, which was mind-boggling to Eutostea. 


“We thought we could manage a man drunk with sleep,” murmured Hersia. She still trembled her hand and showed signs of anxiety.
