Chapter 64 - Chapter 64 Advice from an Elder.

"See Auden, let me give you advice as a person who has lived in this world for a few decades," Amelia began. "Many people say money can't buy happiness, but all the people who say it have enough money to buy most of the things on the planet. Having water while not being thirsty is better than not having it when you are in a desert.

Sooner or later, you have to get out into the world. Whether you reveal your true identity or not, you will require the capital to live a good life without any problems." She then pushed a contract in front of him.

Auden read the contract and found out that he was entitled to fifty percent of the profits of every item sold by the new companies created by Amelia based on his ideas. And that fifty percent was already an astronomical sum if only the initial sales are taken into account. The future sales from converting technologies will turn it into a scary sum.

Auden wanted to reject it, but Amelia forced him to sign it. She even told him that even if he had taken more than eighty percent of the profit, it would have still been fair. The fact that it's fifty-fifty is actually a loss for Auden.

After the negotiations were done, Auden decided to move to serious business.

"How much do you know about Horcruxes, Ms. Bones?" Auden asked, and Amelia's face darkened.

"It's one of the vilest forms of dark magic to ever exist in the wizarding world. Created by Herpo the Foul during the ancient wars of Athens. He sacrificed a total of five hundred innocent lives to research that spell," Amelia spat out in distaste as Auden heard the extra information he didn't get from the restricted section of Hogwarts. "But why are you bringing this up right now?" Amelia asked at the end.

"Voldemort had a total of six Horcruxes," Auden calmly replied as Amelia froze in horror.

Slowly, the implications of Voldemort having multiple Horcruxes came to Amelia's mind.

"Separating the soul six times. What kind of madman is he?" she muttered with a tone of disbelief.

"A madman who was so scared of death that he destroyed his own potential. Because of the damage to his soul, he will never grow stronger again. Any physical increase in stamina or magical skills is non-existent unless he manages to heal his soul, and there is no such magic or technology in the current era which would allow him to recover."

Amelia nodded as she took in more information. Then something else got her attention.

"Wait, you said he had six Horcruxes. What do you mean by that?" she asked as she remembered the words Auden had said.

"Well, among the six, I destroyed a total of four. Three by my hand, and the fourth was done by Dumbledore. I made sure it reached him so that he understood how Voldemort had survived. I also provided the means by which he could destroy it. He has no idea it was me, as I used the Sorting Hat to pass on the weapon to him," Auden replied as Amelia took in everything he said.

"Then what about the other two Horcruxes? Shouldn't we find and destroy them to kill him soon?" Amelia asked, confused about why it had not happened yet.

"The entire thing is complicated. The location of one of the items is special and, at the same time, the other Horcrux is in a more delicate place. Plus, no matter what we try, we won't be able to destroy the Horcruxes completely."

"Why is that?"

Auden then explained the fact about how Voldemort was protected by the prophecy. He further explained that until the victor between Harry Potter and Voldemort is decided, Voldemort will escape from every attempt to kill him. No matter how strong his opponent is, Voldemort cannot be killed in any manner.

"I know how devastating prophecies can be, but how are you sure that the prophecy is about Harry? I remember reading about it, and it never mentioned Harry by name," Amelia asked. "And from how he managed to beat Voldemort as a baby, unlike the others in the wizarding world, I did not completely believe it. Most people forget the fact that the other members of the Potter family had given their lives to save the child, and I'm pretty sure the strike that killed Voldemort must have come from the other members of the family."

Auden smiled as he was glad that the one he had chosen was smarter than average when it came to matters of the wizarding world. Cornelius and the other senior members of the ministry had believed in Harry's achievement as a child to a point of fault in the original timeline. He needed someone practical for the plans he was making in the future.

Auden then began to explain what really happened in Godric Hollow during that night. He explained the magic cast by Lily Evans along with the secret of the sixth unwanted Horcrux made by Voldemort on that fateful night.

Amelia was once again surprised by the secret behind Voldemort's banishment that day. But at the same time, she voiced the same question that the one who learned about it asked Dumbledore.

"The boy, how can we save him?" she asked.

"That is something that we have to figure out in the future," Auden replied.

At the same time, in the Gaunt House.

Dumbledore winced as the curse from the ring affected his arm. His phoenix was dripping tears onto the curse, but all that did was slow its spread through his entire arm.

"Hah, thank you Fawkes, but that's enough. It's better if I meet our potions professor for its remedy," he spoke while trying his best not to cry out in pain.

He never expected to lose his cool the moment he came across the ring. He identified The Deathly Hallow Resurrection Stone on the ring. The stone he had searched for many decades to speak to his sister was present right before him, and that made him hasty in acquiring the ring the moment it came into his sight. He should have known there was a curse within it.

Fawkes immediately activated his magic to teleport back to Hogwarts, not knowing that there was a silver raven nearby who had seen their every move.
