Chapter 15: Am I in a Group Chat?

Immediately school closed for the day, Ju-kyoung, Su-ah, and Kangsu walked out of the school happily. They had already planned their day.

At the sight of the restaurant, Su-ah's eyes were beaming.

They quickly made their order as they settled down in their seats.

The food didn't take long before it was served. The aroma was mouth-watering. They were about to dig in before Su-ah brought out her long tripod stand and then her phone.

She snapped the food from different angles, and indeed, the food looked even more attractive on camera.

"Let's dig in," Su-ah said with a huge smile.

Ju-kyoung and Kangsu glanced at each other before they put food in their mouths.

"Hmm," they both said as they chewed.

Ju-kyoung swallowed, then placed another spoonful in her mouth. She looked very cute as her cheeks puffed up.

Meanwhile, Kangsu ate like a princess—every bite was chewed slowly and gracefully.

From their expressions, Su-ah already knew the food was good. Her recommendations never failed.

"Sooooo, how's the food?" Su-ah asked.

Ju-kyoung quickly swallowed what she was chewing. "It's very nice."

"Delicious," Kangsu added.

"I told you it would be nice," Su-ah said in an accomplished tone.

As they walked out of the restaurant, Su-ah already knew the drill. Kangsu normally went for lessons after classes, though sometimes she could spend thirty minutes with her.

Ju-kyoung, who didn't know, just glanced at Su-ah, who started begging Kangsu.

"Kangsu, please. Pretty please," Su-ah said, holding Kangsu's arm. Kangsu already looked frustrated.

"I'm sorry, Su-ah, but I have a tutor."

But Su-ah didn't budge. "Pretty please," she repeated, giving Kangsu the most adorable eyes ever.

Kangsu just kept quiet, hearing Su-ah begging at the top of her voice.

"Just ten minutes," Su-ah insisted, smiling brightly with honesty in her tone.

Kangsu pushed her hair back, showing her beautiful face. "I'll get scolded by my mum."

Su-ah nodded in understanding. Kangsu sighed in relief, thinking it was over.

"Just five minutes then!" Su-ah suddenly said, yanking Kangsu before she could retort. She pulled her in the direction of the game building.

"I can't even spare you five minutes!" Kangsu yelled, but it seemed Su-ah had turned a deaf ear.

Ju-kyoung immediately ran to catch up. Su-ah was incredibly fast, even though she was average in height.

When they entered, Ju-kyoung was amazed. It was incredibly huge. It had all the games anyone could think of.

There were different types of game machines, and a disco light that filled the room with colors. The place was kind of dim, but people could still see each other clearly.

It looked like a club, except there were no drinks—just music and games.

Su-ah turned to Ju-kyoung after glancing around. "Ju-kyoung, let's try everything in here!"

Ju-kyoung glanced at all the games. There were more than twenty.

Before she could respond, Su-ah—just like she did with Kangsu—pulled both of them toward a game box.

They played the shark game, and Ju-kyoung couldn't stop laughing as Su-ah fought with the console.

Kangsu just snapped a picture of her. Su-ah's angry face was the cutest, her cheeks a little red as she pouted.

Then Su-ah jumped up, her expression changing immediately to excitement, and dragged them to the dancing game.

Ju-kyoung had so much fun as they all laughed together.

Later, Su-ah, Ju-kyoung, and Kangsu wore big bows on their heads.

Ju-kyoung looked at Su-ah. "Should we take one?"

"Sure!" Su-ah said as they entered the photo booth.

Kangsu helped Ju-kyoung adjust her bow.

"You ready?" Su-ah asked, looking at both of them. They nodded.

The three of them posed as the booth automatically snapped their pictures.

They laughed and posed in different styles. When they were done, they giggled as they walked out of the game building.

No matter how badly Ju-kyoung had wanted it, or how hard she had tried, friendship had always eluded her. But now—she finally had friends of her own.

Meanwhile, Soo-hoo glanced at the person in front of him. No hint of reaction, remorse, or mercy showed as he was taken down to the ground.

The building was huge and spacious. The only thing occupying the floor was the thick rug beneath them.

The person signaled him to get up. Soo-hoo rose, his usual aura sharp.

He charged, but every time Soo-hoo tried to push him down, the guy flung him away like a chair.

Frustration built up. Soo-hoo's training was good, but the person in front of him was twice his size.

Ever since he was little, Soo-hoo had trained in fighting—not to become a street fighter or a thug, but for protection.

The man charged at him again, knocking him down. Soo-hoo was done playing around. This time, when he charged, the guy couldn't even touch him before Soo-hoo dragged him and pushed him to the ground. Not too hard—just enough. After all, it was only training.

When it was over, they both sat down drinking water. The guy Soo-hoo had fought with turned to him.

"It's been a while. Why push so hard?"

Soo-hoo glanced at him before sipping. "To get better sleep."

The guy raised a brow. "Are you having problems sleeping again?"

Soo-hoo sighed, frustrated. "Seems like it's gotten worse."

The man smirked cunningly, dragging the bottle from Soo-hoo's hand before he could sip again. Soo-hoo looked at him, shocked.

He immediately yanked Soo-hoo from the chair, holding his neck. "Then I'll help you sleep like a baby tonight."

Soo-hoo didn't flinch. He was far stronger than that. He immediately dragged the guy down, pinning his hands firmly.

"You'll have to try harder," Soo-hoo teased, letting out a huge laugh.

Meanwhile, Ju-kyoung walked upstairs while looking at the picture she, Kangsu, and Su-ah had taken earlier. It was beautiful.

Ju-kyoung smiled as she placed it inside a mini frame.

Ding! Her phone rang. She picked it up.

Notification: My friend Su-ah invited my friend Kangsu and Lim Ju-kyoung.

It was a notification that Su-ah had opened a mini group for the three of them.

She tapped accept and read the first message.

Su-ah: Did everyone get home safe?

Ju-kyoung stared at the message. "Is this what they call… a group chat?" she said.

Then she yelled happily, "I'm in a group chat now!"
