Chapter 4 - Rockboar.

Seeing that none of the Rock Boars were paying him any attention, Kael raised his hand. His palm pointed toward the herd as he calmly activated his enchanted skill. In his mind, he made one thing very clear:

"No one here is a friend."

A swirling ball of black flame formed in his palm. With a thought, he released it.

The fireball shot forward in a straight line—but just before reaching the boars, it twisted midair as if it were alive, curved around them, and made a sudden U-turn.

It struck one of the boars squarely on the backside.

–33,000

The number floated up over the creature's head for a second before it collapsed, instantly dead.

The explosion startled the remaining Rock Boars. They turned toward Kael, eyes narrowing. The scent of ash and the death of one of their own was enough to provoke them.

Without hesitation, the entire group charged.

Kael glanced at his spell again. The cooldown was already over.

He raised his hand and launched another flame.

The second fireball soared toward the next boar and curved again, slamming into its rear with surgical precision.

–33,000

It dropped instantly.

Another Rock Boar reached him and slammed into his chest with a full-body headbutt. But Kael didn't move. He didn't even flinch.

He looked down at the creature with a calm expression and brought up its status panel.

Kael tilted his head slightly.

"Seven strength?" he muttered. "I've seen mosquitoes hit harder."

He clenched his fist and punched the boar in the head.

–800

The boar collapsed, instantly dead.

Kael raised a brow.

"For a mage, punching shouldn't be this effective."

He tapped his chin thoughtfully. Clearly, his stats were overwhelming, but without any magical enhancement on his melee attack, his system's passive damage amplification didn't seem to trigger. Still, it was more than enough for these mobs.

He dashed toward the next group of Rock Boars and took them out one by one with punches and kicks.

He exhaled slowly, then turned his attention to his gloves.

"Let's try that glove skill."

He raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

Four spheres of black flame appeared around him, hovering for a brief second before launching in different directions.

Each one arced beautifully—twisting mid-air, homing in on a different target—and detonated behind four Rock Boars.

The skill activated flawlessly.

"So four is the limit for now," Kael muttered, nodding to himself.

But his moment of satisfaction was short-lived. The ground trembled slightly. More Rock Boars were approaching from the edge of the field—twice as many this time, likely drawn by the sound and scent of battle.

Kael's eyes sharpened.

He cracked his knuckles, a small smile playing at his lips.

"Looks like I'm not done farming yet."

The herd thundered toward him.

Dust kicked up under their feet as nearly a dozen Rock Boars barreled in his direction, their stone-like skin gleaming under the sun. Their eyes burned with animal rage, each snort louder than the last.

Kael stood calmly in the middle of the field, one hand raised, the other tucked into his coat pocket.

"Let's see how many butts I can barbecue today."

He snapped his fingers. Four black flameballs appeared in the air, spinning slowly like tiny comets. Then, with a thought, they launched forward.

The flames soared above the charging boars—then twisted sharply mid-flight.

Each one curved downward with eerie accuracy and struck a Rock Boar square in the rear.

The first four dropped instantly, collapsing mid-charge without even a squeal. The rest didn't slow. They were too close now.

One boar reached him and lunged, tusks forward. Kael didn't dodge. He sidestepped slightly, grabbed its tusk, and yanked it downward. As the creature stumbled, he drove his fist into its skull.

–800

It dropped with a thud.

Another leaped from behind. Kael turned and delivered a spinning heel kick, smashing the beast across the jaw.

–800

"Still too easy," he muttered.

More came. Six left now, fanning out to surround him. Kael raised his hand again, forming another flameball. But this time, he didn't wait.

He waved his hand in a half-circle.

"Go."

The black flame shot forward, then suddenly split mid-air into two, then four, then he raises other hand two more orbs short forward.

They each curved with deadly precision.

Each Rock Boar's backside exploded like firecrackers, sending their bodies skidding across the grass.

Silence returned to the field.

The dust settled. Kael lowered his hand and looked around at the cratered battlefield.

All twelve Rock Boars were dead. Not a single hit had taken even a point of his health.

Kael exhaled slowly, the heat of battle still hanging in the air.

He brought up his system panel and checked his skill progression.

> [Butt-Flameball: Lv.3 (30%)]

Effect:

Creates a black flameball that radiates heat greater than normal fire. Upon casting, the flame automatically locks onto a nearby target not registered as a friend, then homes in and strikes them, specifically targeting the rear.

Deals 1500% of the caster's INT as magic damage on impact.

He gave a small nod. The spell was leveling quickly. Each use packed absurd damage, and with no mana cost and a laughable cooldown, it was practically begging to be spammed.

Still, it was only part of the bigger picture.

Kael opened his status window next, curious to see how far he'd come after farming the herd.
