Athilda's pov
The morning felt bright and cheerful, even though I had barely slept. Keturah left early for work without having breakfast, saying she would drop by after her shift.
Mom and Dad had also gone out earlier, but they did not say where they were heading.
I sat by the pool, stealing glances at Enzo, who had his back to me while talking on the phone. He was only wearing black beach shorts, and although his body was neither overly muscular nor too thin, it was just enough to spark thoughts I really should not be having.
We had planned to swim later, partly for exercise. It was only seven in the morning, and the sun was still gentle and warm. I was already wearing my black two-piece swimsuit.
Before leaving, Mom had told Enzo to stay with me in case I needed anything. I honestly did not know why they trusted him so much, but since I was a nice person, I planned to return the favour. I was sure he would be overjoyed with what I had in mind.
