"They will when they hear your confession." Lyra's voice remained calm despite the adrenaline coursing through her veins. "Every callous word about your baby—your 'obstacle.' Every admission about Jake."
With trembling hands, she forwarded the recording to Liliana at the police station with a simple message: "For Julian Blackwood. Let him hear how Orla really felt about their child."
"There," Lyra said, showing Orla the sent message. "Now Julian will know exactly what kind of person you are."
