Chapter 30 - chapter 30

Rika's Mother POV

I twirled my glass slowly, sitting in calm amusement as I watched this fool dig his own grave.

My husband smirked and rose from his chair.

"You really know how to play this game."

I looked up at him and lifted my glass slightly.

"What can I say? I'm always enchanting."

He chuckled and bent down to kiss my cheek.

"I am always enchanted by you, my love."

I shook my head lightly and turned my attention back to Rika, who was now panting, her breath uneven.

"Just a little push," I murmured, "and these clowns finally see what kind of monster our precious daughter truly is."

Shinji attacked Rika's friend, making him scream in agony.

Each slice of the knife was precise—clean—never touching anything vital.

He begged Shinji to end it, sobbing through his pain, but Shinji only continued, dragging the torture out with cruel patience.

The guests applauded, delighting in the suffering.

I sipped my wine… yet something felt wrong.

Despite the screaming, I didn't hear Rika's voice anymore.

I looked up.

She was standing.

Slowly. Calmly.

A grin spread across my lips as I saw her eyes—filled with nothing but rage.

"Finally," I muttered, stepping down from the stage.

I knew it.

This was the chaos Shinji had been waiting for.

Shinji stopped and turned toward her.

"You want to be serious now?" he asked.

Rika remained silent.

Oddly calm. Blank.

Like a void no one could read.

Shinji smirked and pulled the blindfold from her friend's face.

"What do you think of my art?" he mocked.

Rika walked toward him.

Shinji sensed something wrong and immediately raised his guard.

But to his surprise—

She passed him.

She walked straight to her friend.

"What is she doing?" my husband whispered.

I leaned back slightly, lifting my glass toward the moon.

"It's time."

He looked at me in confusion.

Then—

Rika plunged her bare hand into her friend's chest.

She ripped out his heart without hesitation.

Gasps echoed through the hall.

No sadness.

No fear.

No guilt.

That was what Rika showed them.

For a moment, the entire room fell silent.

The guests wiped sweat from their brows, unable to read her expression.

"She… she's an Ashikwa—no," one of them whispered.

"She's more cruel than his entire clan."

I grinned as Rika slowly turned.

Her eyes met mine for just a moment.

A sharp, icy shiver ran through my body, making my hand tremble.

I scoffed and set my glass down.

"This girl never fails to amaze me in this state."

Rika lunged, kicking Shinji.

He blocked—but as he tried to counterattack, pain flashed across his face.

He looked down.

Two of his fingers lay cleanly severed on the floor.

He staggered back, clutching his hand.

"You… Not so sweet anymore, huh, little sister?"

Rika didn't react.

She charged again.

Shinji barely raised his guard in time, blocking her relentless assault.

I turned to the crowd, laughter spilling from my lips.

"Hahahaha! Do you all see it?"

I raised my glass high.

"This is my daughter. My precious daughter—who will offer two lambs in this ceremony!"

I moved with elegance, every motion controlled.

"Auntie, Rika is losing control," Marlon whispered.

"She's trying to kill him."

I smirked and turned to him.

"Isn't that what he wanted? That fool dug his own grave."

Marlon paled, shaking his head.

"Auntie, we can't let her go berserk again—"

I flicked a knife.

It grazed his neck—just enough to make him flinch.

"My, my… Marlon," I said softly.

"My hand slipped. One more word, and I won't miss your throat."

He fell silent immediately.

I turned my attention back to the fight, admiring the cold beauty of my precious daughter—

And the monster she had finally become
