Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Too Hasty Gets You Caught Up

The rest of the trip is pretty chill with Persius and Diamond making idle chatter about different topics and him figuring out what Diamond likes to do or eat or if she sleeps as well. Diamond easily answers all of his questions, her demeanor is almost the same as most of the Sisters but she has a slightly more forward and matter of fact kind of attitude. After two hours she signals him that they were approaching their destination. Persius looks out the carriage window to see the incredibly stark opposite of Aralan. Opirea was filled with many gilded high rise buildings, beautiful and well manicured flora and parks, bustling boutiques and store fronts, and perfectly smooth streets and sidewalks. There were plenty of people walking around with children happily and safely playing, and the vast majority of the people walking around here were all mages. Opirea and Aralan were completely night and day compared to each other.

Persie hops out of the carriage and looks around, he pulls out his journal and takes photos without anyone noticing: Wow, this place is…insanely different from Aralan. *Persie walks a bit with Diamond by his side*: So where to first?

Diamond: I will lead you to the city center where the largest community park has been built. Along the way you may stop into any of the local stores. Many establishments on the outer ring here have non-mage workers.

Persie: Hmm alright. Sounds good.

They start walking and there are quite a few boutiques and Persie picks one that sells tailored clothing, it's very high-quality and there are barely any non-mages unless they are checking someone out and it's really just two throughout this entire store. Persie walks in and is immediately greeted by a tall peacock ant.

Balian: Well hello hello, my name is Balian. How can I assist you today?

Persie looks and smiles: Nice to meet you Balian, I am just looking around. But I also wanted to know if you had a few moments to maybe answer some questions, nothing bad.

Balian: Of course, absolutely. I'm happy to answer whatever questions you have.

Persie nods: Okay so *takes his book out to start writing any answers* What do you like about Opirea? *smiles very casually*

Balian: -he stands up straighter and his tail feathers ruffle- Oh an interview~? Lovely. I enjoy the lovely scenery and safe neighborhoods.

Persie: Can you tell me more details? Like certain parks you like? Certain areas that are wonderful? Certain shops outside of the one you work in? Different eateries?

Balian: Well the neighborhood I live in is closer to the outer ring but it's been updated recently and it's a wonderful place to raise a family. Oh and the new park that's been installed in the city center is just breathtaking. It's a lovely mix between a playground and a botanical garden. And there's several lovely cafes all around, I don't think I can pick just one. All the food in Opirea is divine.

Persie writes everything down: Wonderful, now my lovely peacock friend…what don't you like? I see there are mostly mages around and yet you said you live here but towards the outer ring? I wonder my friend, why are there mostly…mages?

Balian: -his eyes flicker around to look at the other patrons that are glancing at them and he looks a bit nervous- Heh it's just the majority of the population here that's all. People live where they want to live I suppose. I-I just started my shop so living more towards the center is a bit out of budget for now. But even on the outer ring it's very very comfortable..

Persie: Ah I see. I guess people gather where they are most…comfortable. I guess many such as yourself, another…Ant, wouldn't be as comfortable even though you have beautiful parks and wonderful eateries? Why would other ants not be comfortable? Would you say that a non-mage or elven person could walk the streets right outside your shop and not be bothered? *persie's eyes flicker and his words carry heaviness that pierces through to the peacock's brain* Why are there no ants here who live in the center?

Balian: That..that is a very serious…critique…M-My business partner and I are just fine walking around the streets with all of these lovely people..I..I believe this interview is over. Have a good day. -he quickly turns away from him and goes to the back counter-

Diamond: It seems you pushed too hard too fast. Let us head to our next destination.

Persie sighs and leaves: Alright no worries. *he goes to keep walking with Diamond, once out of the shop* I did…but he's a peacock…they are an ant but peacocks are highly pretentious because of their beauty and image. Not the best to ask these sorts of questions, although I'm noticing it may be difficult to ask. Probably because they want to keep their jobs…makes sense. I hope I didn't cause too many issues…

Diamond: Though no official reports have ever been made, there are known rumors that certain establishments can be shut down if the majority population feels it does not add to its stellar reputation. This information comes from my Sisters' discreet investigation of the area over the last several years.

Persie: Hmmm okay…it makes sense but also that's just a lot to go through. Constant scrutiny? No wonder my friend doesn't come back home…*they approach the park and it's beautiful*

Beautiful statues with pooling fountains with lily pads in it. The gardens around are gorgeous and very well manicured, it's like if you could have a celestial garden out of the clouds and on the ground, it was absolutely stunning. Persie walked around and admired the architecture, the lack of trash, the brilliant stone.

Persie: This park must've cost a fortune.

???: Aha yes it did. It cost quite a bit but all of this was absolutely worth it. Don't you think it's deserved even?

A man comes over in a black tailored suit with a monocle to greet him, his voice seems rich as if he has been a spokesman or a politician for a long time…He is neither though: My company builds the parks in Opirea and this one was one of our best works. Oh I apologize, my name is Cornelius Greenweld. Pleased to see another of us admiring this project. It just got done recently.

Persie keeps a neutral but pleasant face: Ah pleased to meet you as well. My name is Persius. It is quite beautiful, especially this kind of stone, it's hard to procure isn't it?

Mr. Greenweld looks amused from the observation: Why, yes it is. It's imported from caves in Istrelar and costs quite a penny. Are you interested in architecture or groundworks? If you are looking to build something, please let me know. A fine man like yourself must want to build a house for a wife one day hahaha.

Persie cringes but keeps it together: Hah ah…yes perhaps. Do you have a business card?

Mr. Greenweld makes a slight flick of his hand and one appears right in the center. He gives it to Persie, who takes it and puts it in his journal quickly.

Persie: Thank you so much for this. Well I should be taking my leav-

Mr. Greenweld puts a hand on Persius' shoulder: Nonsense dear boy, please come with me to lunch at the nearby cafe, they have wonderful food and atmosphere. I'm meeting some more of my friends there.

Persie looks uncomfortable: Actually, I am not sure if I have the time-

Mr. Greenweld's guards block off a path as he puts an arm around Persie's neck and starts walking him along: I won't hear it. Someone like you definitely has time! Come come!

Persie is now led to this cafe and he is frantic in his mind. Diamond! Help!!

Diamond: -she is in front of them in an instant and holds her hand up to signal them to stop- Excuse me. Please unhand my Master before I take your actions as a threat against his safety. I will only ask this once.

Mr. Greenweld looks and scoffs: Pfft, out of my way golem, your Master and I are just going to the cafe, maybe talk business, no harm.

Diamond: I answer only to my Master. -she looks up at Persie, a knowing look in her eyes- Do you wish to go, Master?

Persie pauses for just a second and then straightens up: Yes, golem…I would like to go and see what Mr. Greenweld would like to discuss plus I heard this cafe has excellent pastries and I would like to try them.

Mr. Greenweld smiles deeply: Wonderful chap! Then let us go forth. *he let's Persie go and they both start towards the cafe*

Persie looks at Diamond with a look of apology and as they enter, it is an extremely lavish cafe, filled with only mages. The only non-mage is a half-ant/half mage that works as a baker's assistant in the back but they are barely seen at all. Persie looks around and there are beautiful light spring green cushions and beautifully carved light brown tables all around. The service center has some of the best looking pastries with cute faces on them and some have wonderful fruits. Persie looks amazed, perplexed but also a bit…sad by how beautiful things are here but aren't the same at all in Aralan. He feels so many eyes on him, as people look at him, murmurs flow.

"Oh what a pretty young man, is he taken?" "Oh, I would love to have him as a caller." "Oh Mr. Greenweld already got to him perhaps…such a tragedy."

Persie feels so nervous that his palms are sweating but he breathes a bit as he approaches a table with three other mages, two women and another man.

Mr. Greenweld: Hello my friends! Sorry I'm late but I saw this wonderful young man and invited him to our little gathering.

The man with dark hair and purple eyes, smiles so sweetly: Oh Cornelius, he's absolutely gorgeous! What beautiful skin you have, and you smell so ripe? Mmmm tell me, my dear, are you taken? *his voice carries the scent of persuasion but Diamond's anti-charm works and Persie is not affected*

Persie: Well I-

Mr. Greenweld: Calm yourself, Philonias, we don't want to scare him too much.

Philonias: Oh pooo, you always want to do things differently. I just say snatch them ahhaa.

They all laugh. Persie feels he's in a nightmare but he steadies himself and sits. Snatch them? He thinks in his mind. Are they some of those people the driver was talking about in Aralan? He tries hard to steady himself, but it's like being in a den of cobras. He looks around the room for a quick second to try and spot any exits while also keeping up conversation.

Persie: Haha…thanks for inviting me here.

The woman with deep red hair and lipstick to match grins at him: You really do always find the most amazing specimens Cornelius. I knew coming to you was a great idea.

Persie looks at Mr. Greenweld who is looking at him, and his smile isn't hitting his eyes: I do wonder what you wanted to discuss, sir.

Mr. Greenweld chuckles: Well, I have been looking for a sort of…person who could possibly help with a slight dilemma we've been experiencing.

Persie, looks around at all the beauty: What sort of problem?

Mr. Greenweld: Why, the birth rate of course.

Persie looks shocked…and a bit disgusted: And what exactly would you need from this person?

The woman with a pink bun and pearls giggles at him: Why to be a stud of course. -she looks at the woman with red hair- Scarlett, he's so cute, I think he'd be perfect for me~.

Scarlett: I told you I'd find someone perfect for you Valentine. Cornelious never disappoints. You're one of the few Nesryn without a child, I can't let that kind of reputation happen to my favorite baby cousin.

Persie: Wait wait, hold on a second. I agreed to nothing. I was just by the fountain outside and then I get pulled in and asked to stud myself out. I do apologize and good luck with finding a sperm donor. *gets up to leave but Mr. Greenweld puts his cane handle on his arm*

Mr. Greenweld: Oh don't be rash…Persius…we just want to offer a wonderful opportunity, the amount of money you could make with your looks and once we know your root-

Persie's voice is dark and some of the magic pulses from his hand: I said…no. *he is firm and the frustration reaches his voice*

Mr. Greenweld frowns but takes his cane off: Fine…you may leave.

Persie leaves quickly, and it's almost like all of the mages look at him as he leaves in almost a weird manner, like they were all in on it. Ewww ewww ewww. Diamond is right outside and he walks off with her to a more secluded part.

Persie: Oh fuck oh fuck! That was so gross. *he tries not to vomit, steadying himself on one of the light poles* That was absolutely horrible. Okay ummm, where else are we going? I just want to get away from that cafe. All those people, and none of them thought it was wrong. What's wrong with this place??

Diamond: A new trend has arisen in the last decade of finding mages that fit certain criteria to help high ranking families continue their lines.

Persie: When we get back home, I need a full bath because UGH! Gross…I feel disgusting, I didn't even feel…like a person and of course I wouldn't if they knew but even with them believing I was a mage, they felt that entitled to straight up call me a stud. It almost felt like I didn't even have a choice…what kind of bullshit. Ugh. Alright, what's next though? We can still keep going..

Diamond: There is a prestigious private school not far from here. We may go past and survey the area so you may get a grasp of student life. After that destination I suggest it is time we left. I believe your safety has been compromised in this province if we stay for too much longer.

Persie: Okay You are right. I feel too many eyes and I can't see anyone.

They start towards the private school and see neatly tailored school uniforms, all mages. The school is beautiful, clean walls, wiped glass. It's a huge school too. They even have full soccer fields and football fields.

Persie: Wow, it doesn't compare to Mythic but I've never seen a school this big outside of that one.

Diamond: In Aralan, the largest school they have is barely a fifth of the size of Eilidh Preparatory School.

Persie: I'm glad these kids have a school but that means Aralan barely has the functionality and money to even have enough seats for children which means a lot of kids aren't getting a proper education. *Persie pulls out his journal to take photos of the building and fields, but not the students* Hmmm this is good to know. I won't talk to the kids though, I don't want to compromise children or come into contact with anymore weirdos like what just happened. I think we can leave now, Diamond. Are you ready or is there anything else that we need to do?

Diamond: I believe you have gathered sufficient evidence for your case. I would advise that we leave promptly. My anti charm has been activated since the cafe, therefore the threat level of this area has exceeded what I will allow. -she snaps her fingers and the carriage comes around the corner to pick them up as if it had been following them this whole time- Let us return to the temple.

Persie hops in with Diamond and they head back to the temple: This was an insane trip, but it's good for the case. Not only does this prove the significant budget differentials but it also proves a lot of other issues that I didn't even know were a problem. Like the birth rate issues, shutting down certain stores if they don't "play a part", them possibly snatching people off the street for sex trafficking. It's all ridiculous! But they all act like it's normal. That cafe was UGH!!! Did you get the name of that cafe, Diamond?

Diamond: Starlight Cafe, located in the center of the Province, to the east of the park circle.

Persie: Thank you! Ugh, we have so much to tell The Goddess…so so much. *he puts his head on the window and dozes off after a bit, he was mentally exhausted that it caught up to him*

Diamond: -she allows him to rest and doesn't wake him up until they're back at the Ivory Sanctuary-

She wakes Persie and they both leave the carriage. He looks a bit tired but he's more hungry than anything.

Persie: Damn, I'm hungry. Thank you for everything today Diamond. You did wonderfully! And thanks for protecting me…*they both go inside and try to find Aiah as soon as possible, who is in the throne room, she is about to get off to start retiring for the night*

Persie comes in and when he sees Aiah, he visibly relaxes: safety…he thinks and then approaches the throne as she comes down it. He bows to her.

Persie: My Goddess…there is much I wish to discuss if you have time either now or later. I understand if you are tired as well and we can talk tomorrow.

Aiah: -she looks him up and down and gently touches his cheek, secretly dispelling the rest of the charms lingering on him- Welcome home. You may accompany me to a late dinner and brief me on what you've learned.

Persie leans into her touch, feeling relief finally: Mmmm yes I would like to. I'm hungry but there is so much that happened.

Aiah: Good, let's get you fed. Autumn has made a wonderful seafood menu tonight. -she smiles at him and leads him to the dining room-

Persie perks up at the mention of seafood: S-seafood? Sounds delicious. *he follows her to the dining room*

Aiah: -she takes her seat at the head of the table- I don't enjoy many foods often, but I do love squid. And the children adore grilled fish and peppers.

Persie sits to her right and looks at all the food: Mmmm I love grilled fish and calamari or scallops. It's wonderful. *he's pretty hungry and hears his stomach grumble* I can't wait. How was your day? I'm surprised you haven't eaten yet.

Aiah: Heh I had a bit of research to do, so I decided to wait for you.

Autumn comes out with several trays of different fish dishes floating behind her and she sets the table for them.

Persie: really? What were you researching? I rather talk about what you are doing right now…my day was…too much. *looks at Autumn* It looks wonderful, Autumn!

Aiah: -she giggles quietly at him- Eat, dear. I was reviewing the budgets prepared by the Sister in accounting, the new population census and immigration requests, heh and a tutor for Ra and Adrian.

Persie: Ah are they still shrinking things? Also immigration requests? For Refuge from where? I would say Aralan is very immigrant-conscious but they are overrun from what it seems and don't have the best areas. This feels so familiar like falling into a rhythm. *he begins eating* Mmmm this is…delicious oh my gosh! *eats more* Mmmmmmmm!

Aiah: -she genuinely smiles at him as she watches him- I'm glad you're enjoying it.. -she starts taking small pieces of some calamari- They've been shrinking their snacks to run away with more in the kitchen, but they need tutors to help with their personal magic. The immigration requests mainly come from Istrelar and Dzular, with a few here and there from Baehalan.

Persie: I see. Heh I'm glad the kids are getting more help with their magic. Why are there so many immigration requests? Is something going on? *he looks at her as they both are eating*

Aiah: Dzular is a very harsh country, many people after a while can't take it anymore so they come here for a reprieve.

Persie: But what about in Istrelar? I've never been to either one so I honestly don't know the climate they are currently facing. I've mainly been to Baehalan and I did see that it was bad for a long time..they are getting a bit better though. *eats more* mmmm this hits for real. *looks at her from the side* So…today was interesting but I can explain more…after dinner if…that's okay?

Aiah: Of course dear. For now I don't mind just answering your own questions, these are important things for you to learn. Istrelar is more difficult to speak on. I know the people are more traditional, less reliant on technology, but the actual state of the people is unknown to me. They have chief leaders but their messages go through Parliament but even those requests come in slowly. And their deities…I haven't heard from them in a few decades.

Persie: So there is more isolation at least on your end? Not sure how good that is especially since Parliament only seems to care about mostly mage-centered things which is dumb as fuck. *he's anger comes through but he coughs and steadies himself* I apologize for that goddess.

Aiah: It's quite alright, I share your sentiments…This is why I need a physical representative. I cannot easily leave the temple, I need eyes outside of here. Parliament can't defy me but I can't overrule what I don't know about.

Persie: Don't worry Aiah…I mean Goddess, I got you. I will be your eyes and ears as much as possible but if I may ask, why can't you leave the temple? Is it like a god thing where you are just so up there in age that you just can't? I don't know how long you've walked our plane of existence but I just assumed it's because of fatigue maybe?

Aiah: -she looks away from him and gets a slightly sad stare- Yes…I guess fatigue is a good description…I save the energy on the very few ways I can leave for showing up for the children during important school events…Which by the way..I have yet to thank you for spending time with the little ones. It has truly brightened up their days.

Persie: Of course I love kids, I used to play with quite a few during my travels and read stories ahha. But…I get it. Is fatigue something that stays with you? Or can it be fixed? I guess unless I know your biological make-up to help haha but I'm not a mana specialist for real. *finishes his food* Mmmm so so good. That was wonderful and needed.

Aiah: Hehe…I would need an incredibly large boost in mana around me to walk around comfortably.

Persie giggles: No that's fair. You probably have a lot of power. *looks at her* Shall we talk more now or would you like more calamari?

Aiah: Heh brief me of your findings and I'll eat some more.

Persie gets up and takes his journal out of his pocket and springs his notes out and into a hologram: So…first of all, if you look at the photos, Opirea is extremely beautiful. It's gorgeous, no trash, beautiful shops and eateries, so many mages, almost damn near only mages.

Aiah: -her eyes narrow slightly as she eats- Opirea is a slight…annoyance to me.

Persie, flips to the notes with the shop-owner: So I met a Peacock Ant that owned a tailor boutique which I thought was interesting. And he said it was wonderful there but when I asked more about why there's so many mages and no ants, they didn't want to talk anymore. I feel like there's possibly a thing going on where ants or only certain kinds of people are okay as long as they can uphold the standard. A Peacock Ant would tend to be more on status and looks and they can provide services to mages and they lived on the outskirts of Opirea which was also interesting.

Aiah: Hm…I'll have to step in on how permits are given out..Continue dearest.

Persie: And so Diamond and I walked to this nearby park and it was beautiful *moves to show photos of the gilded statues and crystal water fountains* Aralan has NOTHING like this over there at all. But then…*he trails off* This man came…and started chatting me up saying the fountain was one of his best designs. I'm thinking "Alright whatever cool fountain." But he got real weird and then Diamond stepped in and I said I would go with him to the cafe that was right there and of course she stayed outside. Goddess, I don't know what's going on over there. But they tried to get me to agree to being a stud for these rich families. The man's name was *snapping his finger to try and remember* Cornelius Greenweld and he had these friends named Philonias, Scarlette Nesryn and her cousin I think, Valentine. But they just started talking about me like a piece of meat and I said hell nah, left and when I turned back, all the mages in there looked at me as if the whole thing was a set up. It was the most wildest shit ever. After that, Diamond and I went to take pics of the nearby private school. *he shows her* And it's a gorgeous school. The kids look well taken care of, and they have those fields and such as well. Diamond also said that her capabilities of protecting me were exceeded so I was in a lot of danger and then here I am. I…I didn't like that place. There's too much going on and a lot of secrecy. But everything felt fake! I felt gross! *Persie's frustration seeps out from seeing Aralan and then seeing Opirea* I want to help but I need to help everyone, not just mages…

Aiah: -her eyes cut over to him and her fingers twitch when he talks about the mages trying to take him- Disgusting fucking mongrels…-her eyes widen slightly and she takes a breath- Apologies darling…You've done an incredible job. I will make adjustments to Diamond so she can help protect you better. You've earned a rest. Present me with your case when you're ready, and whatever changes or demands you wish to make, you will have my decree to back you up. Big changes won't be immediate but I will allow things to be put in motion.

Persie blushes but is also startled: I…thank you. Your support is most welcome and I appreciate everything you do. Thank you so very much *looks at his journal and puts it back in his pocket* I really do appreciate you working with me and allowing me to stay here and work with Diamond and the Sisters. I'm enjoying your family so thank you again. I was…scared today but…I won't back down. I must help! *he gets up and goes over to her and looks her deeply in her eyes* Resosia deserves better than what Parliament is doing and if your fatigue ails you then I will be your strength until you get better. *holds her hands softly* You have my word on my name. I always keep that.

Aiah: -her eyes soften and she gently touches his cheek- …Thank you Persius…thank you…I…you should get some rest dear.

Persie smiles deeply at her: Of course I'm exhausted haha. You too and I'll see you in the morning. *leaves to go to his room* Mmmm man…i'm tired. *looks at his phone* I'll text Jii in the morning. *gets in the shower, and heads right to bed, passing out in a few minutes, snoring away*

During the night, Aiah takes Diamond and makes some modifications to amplify her abilities from just anti charm to full on nullifying malicious magic towards the one she's assigned to guard. Autumn brings him breakfast in bed again in the morning so he can sleep in and catch up on sleep. Persie got up around noon, he was extremely exhausted, feeling absolutely drained. He gets up very lazily to go shower again because he woke up in a pool of sweat but he doesn't know why. He sees the breakfast and smiles sleepily and starts eating. Mmmmm thank you Autumn, He eats happily and then gets dressed. He sits on the bed and texts Ajii.

Persie: Don't be mad…but I went to Opirea with one of the Sisters, Diamond…shit got rawr!

Aiji: -he calls him a minute later-

Persie answers: ..hey…

Aiji: What the actual fuck do you mean you went to Opirea by yourself??? Are you crazy?!

Persie: Nah I went with Diamond and it was only for a bit for the case. I thought I was fine…but not as much as I wished..*he frowns a bit*

Aiji: Going into Opirea with just a golem is the same as going in alone! They don't respect golems no matter how sentient they may be! Perse you could've been kidnapped! You could've been hurt!

Persie: Yeah about that…

Aiji: …Oh my Gods what happened? Are you okay? Who hurt you?!

Persie: I'm okay Jii…but I did realize they were trying to snatch me to be a stud although I had no idea who those people were and it also felt like everyone was in on it too? Which was insane…like I was in a cafe and then I left and when I turned back everyone in there was staring as the door shut even those who were working were. It was erie as fuck dude!

Aiji: …Names.

Persie: …I…well, there was this Greenweld dude, and then a Philonias guy, don't know if first or last but sounded like first. And then this woman named Scarlett…I think her cousin Valentine was also the other woman too and they were the main ones looking for a stud.

Aiji: Oh my gods oh my gods…Persius was Scarlett's last name Nesryn?

Persie: Oh yeah it was…is…is that bad? Like how bad?

Aiji: Like you can never go to Opirea without a real escort. Persius she's one of the Seven Families. They don't give a damn about anything but status and name. If you ever in your life go back there you have to take me. I may not be as high up as them but at least my name can protect you.

Persie: Seven families? Dude I have no idea what any of that is. I just wanted to take pics and get more evidence which now I have quite a bit also about other things that I didn't even know was a problem.

Aiji: Perse…I warned you about Opirea a long long time ago…Did you forget? I told you that you can't go there alone…

Persie: I…guess I forgot. I guess I didn't think it was that bad. But it was…. Okay if I ever have to go back for some reason, I'll make sure to bring you along. I don't mean to worry you.

Aiji: -he sighs deeply- I'm sorry for yelling..I just…That woman is dangerous…they all are but if she's got her eye on you then you've got to stay out of Opirea for a while.

Persie: Well I wasn't about to go anyways or at least not for a long time. I don't have a reason to go now. I got everything I needed.

Aiji: Okay…when you've got time I'll tell you about the families..just be safe okay?

Persie: Okay…I've had a long few days so I was going to chill here and get all this evidence and start making the case honestly which might take me some time. But later on, we should definitely chill because I need to know. You just out here having lore and shit. *he laughs*

Aiji: -he snorts- Yeah yeah. Go make your case and save the day. I'll chill out with you when you're free.

Persie: Alright man, see ya! *he hangs up and just sits on the bed* Mmm all that checks out, it definitely felt like they were more important than other mages but I didn't realize they were that important! Ugh…He gets up and leaves his room with his notebook so he can start setting up all the pictures and such. He approaches the throne room and comes in.

Persie: Good morning, thank you, I needed to rest.

Aiah: -she looks away from her paperwork and smiles at him- Ah, good afternoon dear. Heh I'm very glad you got some rest. Do you have plans today?

Persie: Not really, the last few days have been information overload and my body and mind need to reset, you?

Aiah: I've had the Sisters regularly going to Aralan to keep it clean and it seems to already be receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the citizens. I'm looking over some other programs I can either create or delegate out so the Sisters don't have to constantly do these things. Oh, also, Diamond has had her modifications. She'll be able to protect you more.

Persie: Wow I can't wait to take a look at Aralan sometime and also I can go see Diamond's new mods later…if I can…may I sit with you…? Like just sit and have a hug maybe for a little while? I really needed it yesterday but I was also still on an adrenaline rush.

Aiah: -she smiles softly and waves him up to come to her-

Persie, comes up hesitantly, a light dust of blush crosses his face and he looks up at her, with a needing face* Goddess? Where should I sit?

Aiah: -she uses her magic and gently lifts him up to sit on the arm of her throne, a cushion appearing beneath him before he's fully sat down- Here..You'll be safe and sound right here.

Persie blushes more and closes his eyes at the thought of being safe…with her: Safe here…with you. *he sits there and just keeps his eyes closed* never felt so safe with someone, not this much at least except maybe Ajii…

Aiah: -she pets him gently and starts doing her work again while she keeps petting him-

To Persie's surprise, he ends up slipping into her lap and laying on her chest softly: Mmmm *he closes his eyes* Safe…

Aiah: -she pauses for just a second but doesn't move him. She lets him stay in her lap and gently holds him there, giving him soft looks every now and then. Dear Fates you make this impossible..-

Persie: I know I'm not your child and I don't think of you as my mother or anything but this feels nice…I feel like I can just be here and not worry and it's hard not to worry so thanks for just letting me be here for a bit. I appreciate it. *he looks up at her with his arms still around her waist and smiles deeply* Truly.

Aiah: -the lightest gold blush dusts her cheeks- Of course dear…you will always be safe with me…I promise.

Persie starts to snuggle back into her chest: Mmm so soft and warm. *puts his hand over his mouth* I apologize!!

Aiah: -she laughs and her chest bounces on him - It's quite alright. Am I softer than you expected?

Persie blushes deeply: Hahahah I-ummm maybe…I never knew that you might be this soft…like some bread or a nice fluffy cake. Mmm and you smell so good too *looks at her over her breasts* Mmm so big though, I wonder how much…I…I-ummmm yes so thank you! *starts to get up*

Aiah: -she giggles and gives him the space to get up- Thank you. I enjoy the compliment.

Persie blushes and starts stuttering a bit: well I-I should maybe go see about D-Diamond's mods…yeah. *leaves the room*

Aiah: -she chuckles to herself- Always so bluntly honest my darling..
