Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

At sunrise.

The sea rippled gently, and vibrant glimmers danced between the cracks in the rocks—like shattered sunlight sinking into the waves.

Lin En wiped away Nami's tears, then slid his hands beneath her curves and carried her in a vertical embrace up to the deck.

Suddenly, a booming voice shattered the quiet:

"Atarimaeda!! (Of course it is!)"

The sea boiled. Tidal waves roared.

Tap tap tap...

Kaya came running up to the deck, and when she saw Lin En and Nami together, she froze for a moment—then beamed with joy.

Nami accepted his help... how wonderful!

Nami clung to Lin En's neck, her tears soaking his shoulder.

She'd thought a lot the night before, and had come to one conclusion—other than relying on Lin En, she had no options left.

The Navy and Arlong were working together.Even if she managed to save up the money, it wouldn't matter.

All her hope now rested on the man before her.If this failed—

There would be no salvation left for the rest of her life.

"Nami, trust me. I'll wash away every bit of your pain with the blood of those fishmen."

Lin En held Nami close, staring into the ocean with killing intent leaking from his body.

"Lin En..."

Nami covered her mouth, trying to stop the tears from falling again.

She stepped down from his arms and leaned her forehead gently against his chest.

Just like Bellemere once said—

She'd finally found a man she could rely on.

"Big Brother Lin En! There's a fleet attacking us ahead!"

Kaya's anxious voice cut through the moment.

"Don't worry. I'm here."

BOOM BOOM BOOM—!!!

Suddenly—

A volley of pitch-black cannonballs exploded through the sea fog.

They landed just meters from the ship, throwing up massive splashes and blasting the waves into chaos.

The small Merry Go rocked violently under the pressure.

"Tch. We ran into them already? Guess I'm lucky today."

Lin En frowned briefly.

Then relaxed.

And smiled.

"That's... the Navy!?"

From her dimensional storage pocket, Nami pulled out a monocular and peered into the distance.

What she saw made her freeze.

She trembled with fear and blurted out:

Three or four small Navy warships loomed just beyond the mist, stationed in formation near the Conomi Islands—clearly guarding a naval blockade.

Through the haze, she could make out marine soldiers adjusting their cannons, black barrels aimed directly at the Merry.

They had obviously mistaken them for pirates.

"You've chosen the path to death."

Lin En's gaze locked on the approaching fleet.

He grinned and turned to the nervous Nami beside him:

"That rat bastard Captain Nezumi is there too. Looks like it's time to settle your score."

"D-Don't joke around, Lin En! That's the Navy we're talking about!"

Nami panicked. Her eyes darted around frantically.

She hated Nezumi with all her heart, but she definitely didn't want to be hunted by the Marines.

"So what? I'll kill Marines too."

Lin En's tone remained perfectly calm.

Staring at the fleet that was still firing shells, his voice turned icy:

"Listen closely, Nami. My goal is to overturn this world. So the Navy—the lapdogs of the World Government—are enemies I must face."

"Killing them is part of my job. And you—my woman—must learn to see them for what they are: ants beneath your feet."

This world was already rotting.

Lin En had long resolved to erase the current government.

So today—he'd take the first step in flipping the world upside down!

"Watch carefully, Nami. What you think of as 'power'... is nothing to me."

As soon as the words fell—

The sky above darkened in an instant.

Purple lightning. Roaring fire. Raging flood.

A trifecta of disasters tore across the horizon.

Animals shrieked in terror. The skies cracked apart.

In an awe-inspiring instant, Lin En's entire body transformed into a massive divine beast—Yinglong, tens of meters long, covered in shimmering scales and jagged spines.

Flames curled beneath his feet as he stood atop flaming clouds, disasters swirling around him like a god of calamity.

"ROOOAAARRR—!!!"

With a thunderous crack—

The sky split apart as a beam of red-violet destructive energy surged through the air.

Its target: the entire naval fleet.

BOOM!!!

Far off across the sea—

Dozens of marine soldiers stood on deck, staring up in shock at the monstrous creature hovering above the tiny ship they had just attacked.

They had never seen anything like it.

The overwhelming presence stunned them speechless.

But the next moment, that terror turned into panic—because the creature launched an attack without warning.

Fiery wrath and thunderous lightning shot toward them like divine punishment.

"What the—what IS that!?"

"That's FIRE—AND THUNDER! Are you kidding me!?"

"A monster! What kind of monster is this!?"

"JUMP! JUMP INTO THE SEA OR WE'LL DIE!!"

As the catastrophic flames slammed toward them—

the marine soldiers screamed, scattering in every direction.

"Damn it! What kind of monster is in the East Blue!?"

Nezumi's beady eyes darted wildly as he cursed aloud.

He had just wrapped up a deal with Arlong.Arlong had told him that Nami would be returning soon, so he was lying in wait to capture her and steal the 100 million Beli.

But the moment he opened fire on her ship—

a freaking giant beast took to the sky.

Screw this, we're finished!

BOOOOOM!!!

Heat distorted the air as the attack struck.

The Navy ships were engulfed in hellfire and lightning. They burned. Sank. Disintegrated.

"Glub... glub..."

"AAAAAHHHH!!!"

Sky and sea alike were dyed crimson by the blaze.

It was no longer a battlefield—it was a slaughterhouse.

The intense heat boiled the sea.Steam rose high into the sky.Even the soldiers who leapt into the ocean were roasted alive.

Just one attack.

Over a hundred Marines died.

None survived.

"Gulp."

From the deck, Nami stared blankly at the scene.

Her mouth hung wide open—she could've fit a whole sausage in there.

Kaya stood beside her, frozen in place.

Even at this distance, she could feel the searing waves of heat.

Cold sweat trickled down her back.

"Onii-chan... is he... a kaiju?"
