As Sid opened his eyes, the excitement came pouring in. He cannot believe it, he finally heard the robotic voice that everyone has been talking about. He is now an awaken.
"YES!!! " he muffled a scream under his pillow trying so hard to not let his excitement to disturb anyone. Because he is still Sid the weak trash, who is weaker than everyone. Even though he awaken he is still level 1. He had wasted five years of his life, not growing, not levelling up. He needs to get strong, he needs to strategize on how he can get strong since all avenue of getting strong requires him to go on a hunting quest. But all hunting zones are controlled by various guilds and factions. No individual not connected to said factions can go on a hunting spree on these zones to gain strength since most of the factions and guild want to maintain their dominance. They do not want to hand resources for power to people that they do not control.
A sudden nervousness envelops Sid as he might have overlook an important detail. He heard the system announcement in his dreams, but he also did not see the system interface because of his sudden waking up due to the death of his other self.
"Is it all a dream?" he mused.
There was never a time in the past that he was able to bring something back to the real world. He once picke up a beautiful flower in the dream but upon waking up the flower he picked was gone. He even picked up the huge axe from the Skeleton Warrior that his dream self defeated once thinking that the axe might cost a fortune if he was able to sell it to Strength type hunters. Alas, it was all gone when he woke up. He theorizes that maybe only his consciousness gets transported in the dreamworld so no physical item can be brought out of the dreamworld but maybe since the awakening happened in his mind.
He stood up and look himself in the mirror and praying that it was not all a dream. He spoke in his mind "system? ".
A projection came to life in front of him.

"YES" as tears rolled down Sid's handsome face. He couldn't help himself from crying. Five years of getting mocked, beat up and abused for being the weakest human on the new Earth. Even the elderly is far stronger than him.
He can now become part of the New World not a charity case whose only purpose is to give others a boost of confidence in knowing that they are above someone else, they are not weak, they are special.
Now, that he was able to confirm that he really did awaken, he must plan his next move going forward. He needs to join hunting parties to gain levels. The only hunting parties available to him are the ones from Dark Lagoon Guild. But hunting parties from the guild hates him. The hunters in the guild took turns mocking and beating him up. He would never entrust his life with those kinds of people.
He kept on racking his brain for solution to his new found problem but all ideas seems lacking. All of the options that he thought all leads to him entrusting his fate to someone else. And he does not want that.
For the past five years of being humanities punching bag he learnt the awful truth in the hearts of men. Everyone lust for power, and everyone would make sure that the power they have will not be challenge by another.
If his guildmates learn that he has awaken they will make sure that he will not grow to challenge their strength. They will hindrance his quest to gain strength or for worst they might outright kill him just to make sure that he would not grow to challenge them. For they know of the things that they have done to him merits retaliation.

He notes that he has an unusual amount LUCK which Sid thought was bull****. How can he be so lucky when his parents died in an accident during his youth. How can he be so lucky when he gets beat up every day for the last five years. How can he be lucky when it took him FIVE WHOLE F***ING years before he was able to awaken the system.
"Kinda ironic, isn't it?" he whispered sarcastically.
He also pondered about his Seed of Power "Dream Walker"
"What kind of power does it hold? Am I an INTELLEGENCE based or what?
All Seeds of Power does not contain any explanation on what it can do. It takes a whole lot of experimentation and deduction. Looking at system acquired skills (not shop bought skills) may give you a clue on the possible powers the seed might bring.
Some Seeds of Power are self-explanatory like Peter's "Strong Arm" it pertains to power on gaining strength in one's arm, Natalie's "Ice Queen" which gives off the meaning of her dominance to all ice attributed powers.
But his "Dream Walker" is kind a confusing. Does he have the power of dreams? can he control his dreams or the dream of others? Or he can just literary walk on his dream? Quite literary, like on what he was doing for the past five years. He was practically just walking in his dream. He was a literal "Dream Walker" in his own dreams. But what kind of power is that? He just spectates in his own dream with no clear benefit to show for it? Just the literal experience of seeing himself get hacked, smashed, stabbed and killed thousands of times. Is that his power? Is he supposed to be a masochist?
"What a letdown?" he sighs. He looks back at his skills and the only skill he obtain in his awakening is the passive skill "Kingdom of Dreams".
"What does it do? It is a passive skill. But, why does it have a cooldown of 16 hours. " he muttered. "The cooldown started when he wakes up. Does it passively activate when he sleeps?" he muttered. Well, it kind a explain his weird routine. He never sleeps before 9am or wakes up after 5am. It is not by choice, for the past 5 years no matter how tired he is, no matter even if it is his day off and wants to sleep all day. He can't seem to be able to oversleep he always get his 8hrs of sleep.
Sid started getting a headache in thinking on the possibilities for his Seed of Power and his passive skill. But everything will have to wait. He is going to be late for work.
