I looked up and caught him into staring at my body. I waited for some time, thinking he would come back to his senses but then grew impatient.
'Hmmm,' I cleared my throat, hoping he would snap out of whatever it was that he was doing. I cleared my throat again after seeing that the past attempt did not work but to no avail. I had to call his name thrice before he answered; though his eyes were still on my boobs and every now and then sneaking glances at my stomach, hips, and legs.I was mesmerized I wasn't sure if it was because of my undies (I was wearing a lace thong and a black lace sports bra )
'Um, do you mind?' I asked, lifting up my custume so he could remember why he was here.
'Oh, right,' He said, clearly embarrassed.'I forgot about that. I was kinda thinking about something, " he said, scratching his head and massaging his nose bridge, a habit he had developed and displayed whenever he was embarrassed.
' Right, but of course "something" like? care to share?' I asked while making a mental note; never to be in my undies in the presence of Chase, not even on the beach (and definitely not in a conferenceroom elsehe would leave the topic being discussedand start explaininghow the breast is meant to be held up by hands not a bra).
'Well, you see, you can just...' He began lecturing me on how to put on a silicone mask while also taking the opportunity to explore my body in the course of "helping" me put onnmy custume.
I smiled when I saw the frustrated look on his face as he couldn't understand why the costume just wasn't fitting.
' I doubt get it isn't this the same custume you wore last week?' He asked, still confused.
'I guess you'll also be the CEO today,'I said as I took off the wobbly costume. I was relieved and really happy. I quickly put on a green long-sleeved cut t-shirt I had taken from Chase wardrobe, which looked loose on me and a green army design baggy cargo shorts. I slipped on my black Crocs and made to leave.
'Are you seriously doing this right now?'Chase asked clearly frustrated 'I understand why you don't want to be seen publicly without your costume and all, but it's not fair to keep pushing your responsibilities on me. you're the god damn CEO of the "Shadow Empire," and I'm not...'
'What if I gave you a kiss?'I cut in, not letting him finish. His face lit up immediately.
'Sure, mi lady, anything for you.' He said 'I'll serve breakfast in five.' He shouted to me as he let himself out.
He called me downstairs in four with the table all set. I ate breakfast, slowly planning my day while eating. Chase finished eating when I was halfway through my food he then went upstairs to get dressed for work.
He wore a navy-blue three piece tyeless suit with a black collar less short-sleeved shirt inside. He also wore the golden Rolex I had got him for a Christmas present on his left wrist and a pair of black Tom Ford custom Oxford formal shoes. He styled his hair backward and was getting set to leave as I walked into the living room, sizing him up.
'You look set to leave just one thing missing,' I said.'You don't have the cold aura of the CEO of the 'Shadow Conglomerate'. Walk with your head high. You're no longer Chase Elvis, the vice-president of Shadow Conglomerate. You're now Michealis Xerxes, the CEO.' I said and then fulfilled my end of the bargain by giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Chase was the young master of one of the top three ruling families in Baskerville; the Elvis family. the other members of the three ruling families are the Oliver's and the Arthur's; my family. Chase didn't want to completely take over his family business, so I made him the vice president of the Shadow Conglomerate. That plus, he's really capable.
I saw him off to his car; a black manhidra SUV when he was gone, I went back into the house, rearranged the kitchen, my wardrobe and searched for some thing in Chase's wardrobe that I could wear to my salon later in the day; trying to keep myself busy.
I later went into the gaming room, trying to keep myself preoccupied until Chase came back, which would be in the next twenty minutes. I play Blur, need for speed and CODM (where I was literally killing everyone, including my teammates), needing the distraction, trying not to get in my head; something which always happens on my birthday. The gaming distraction was not working, so I logged out of the games and moved to the studio where I listened to some songs and wrote down lyrics for my next song (FYI, I was also a singer) this distraction was also not working so I tried the very last thing that usually helped though I always resulted to this method when the others have failed. I went to the art room and took a ceramic artifact. I was about to shatter it when Chase suddenly burst into the room.
'Mich, you okay?' He asked concern in his eyes.
'I didn't let you in' I snapped at him,'or did your mother never teach you courtesy?'
Instead, he ignored me and started arranging the studio I had just scattered. when he was gone, he made his way towards me.
I glared at him like I would have happily killed him if only I had a weapon nearby.
'Come on, Shelly, let's go for a walk,' He said as he got to where I was.'It's really lovely outside, you know.'
'I'm fine and I don't need you to walk me. I'm bot a dog,' I snapped at him again.
Chase just smiled warmly; a smile that irritated the hell out of me. He pulled me into a tight hug, managing to remove what I was holding before I could break it.
'Let go of me,' I said, struggling to get out of his grip. It wasn't long till my body felt numb, and my eyes started closing involuntarily.
I felt air beating against my face. it smelt nice and familiar. I opened my eyes to find myself on a speed boat owned by Chase. I looked around a little bit more and noticed I was in the sea; one that ran through my hometown down past the knights bridge; where I live.
I sensed we were on our way to my parents' house.
'Oh, you're finally awake.' He said a broad smile on his face.
He was wearing a blue hoodie with a white cotton sweater inside, black boots, a white scarve round his neck, and a blue boot-cut trouser.
'Did you drug me?' I asked, surprised at his boldness.
'How was your sleep, princess?' Chase asked intentionally, avoiding my question as he put the boat on auto pilot.
'I won't ask again, Chase,' I said, my voice already icy cold.
'Yes, I may have drugged you.' He started his voice low and apologetic.'I just didn't want what happened last time to repeat itself. I didn't want to see you getting stuck in your head again.'
'So you thought taking me to my parents was the best possible option?' I asked, irritated at his choice.
'Babe, I said I'm sorry. I just didn't know what to do so I thought taking you to their house would be the best choice. I'm really sorry, Mich. If it makes you feel any better, I brought you your barbing kit it's right behind your seat.' He said, trying to make me feel better.
'And just what exactly do you think they'll do to make me feel better?' I asked pissed off, pouring out all my pent-up annoyance on him. 'I don't know maybe preach to me about how woman was created for man and how I'm supposed to serve a man and all that shit right? those damn religious fanatics.'
Chase kept quiet and wore a long face throughout the trip. I may have been too hard on him, but he deserved it.
Immediately we got to my parents' luxury beach house, I put on my mask (none of my mother's servants were allowed to see my face), got down not waiting for Chase and walked briskly to my parents' house. Immediately I got in, I threw myself on the couch in front of the fireplace, trying to keep myself warm. I messaged my mother, informing her of my arrival. I didn't wait for her to come down to meet me or to send one of her numerous maids to come get me.
I strolled in the kitchen, took some food, went to my father's garage, and took my Mercedes Maybach GLS, which I had bought myself as a graduation gift.
I got into the car, leaving Chase in the sitting room and drove to my salon, which was not too far away from my parents' beach house, though no one knew about it apart from Chase.
At the salon, I took out my frustration on the manekins by turning my anger into creativity (actually becausei didn'thave any customers yet). I did that until I saw a guy pull up in a black rolls royce.
He wore a black sports suit, a black collarless shirt inside, white sneakers, and a black and gold bracelet on his wrist. I thought Chase was a Greek demigod, but this guy, he's in his own league. He's on a whole different level.
