Nolan exhaled slowly, rubbing the side of his temple.
"Well… good. Let's hope it doesn't come to war," he said quietly.
King Zul gave a slow nod. "As long as the truth reaches them, they may restrain themselves. If not… then the consequences will be theirs to bear."
Nolan turned away. "Then it's settled."
King Zul watched him for a moment longer before turning toward the hall. "I should rest. These old bones have been through enough for one night."
With that, he walked off, his footsteps echoing down the stone corridor.
Nolan remained behind.
Then—
Ping.
A sharp, unfamiliar sensation flashed across his vision.
"What…?" Nolan muttered.
A translucent panel appeared before his eyes, glowing faintly with ancient runes and symbols.
[SYSTEM NOTICE — CHRONO AUTHORITY DETECTED]
[SYNCHRONIZING DATA…]
[TARGET: HEAVENLY BEASTS — STATUS: GATHERING]
Nolan frowned. "A system…?"
He rubbed his eyes, but the projection didn't vanish.
