Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: Tengai Shinsei!

While Princess Spiana was lost in her sorrowful farewell, I knew it was time for me to step in again.

Sigh! I really didn't want to get involved, but who knew this giant statue, like a Gundam, was such a useless thing? It doesn't even have ranged attacks?

It's like playing a team fight with only tanks and no damage dealers! You'd just get kited to death.

But thinking about it, I realized something. King Bauwanko I's military setup probably paired the giant statue with airships and other weapons.

The airships handle ranged attacks, the fire-breathing chariots clear the ground, and the giant statue is for smashing giant fortresses or defenses.

Together, they form a complete military system. But now that they're fighting alone, the giant statue just looks worthless.

So now I had to act. I really didn't want to use this move—it consumes way more than the one I used on Koya Koya Planet last time.

Even with my psychic powers improved, it's still a struggle to pull off.

My psychic range is now nearly 600 meters.

I use range as a rough way to grade my psychic levels.

I once asked Doraemon about psychic power classifications.

But Doraemon just said that in the future, there's no unified system for it.

Psychic research is just a tiny, insignificant field in the future world.

It's basically a byproduct of studying human biology and energy sciences.

I wanted to argue that psychics are so awesome—why not make it a major research topic?

But when Doraemon tugged at his four-dimensional pocket, I got it.

The future world has tons of gadgets and tech way more convenient and powerful than psychics.

Psychics are nothing special. There are even things that can create entire worlds.

A simple gadget could subdue any so-called psychic user.

Why bother researching psychics so hard?

But for me, whether it's Doraemon's gadgets or psychics, I use them all the same.

Back to now—my psychic range is over 600 meters.

That might seem trivial against big destructive weapons, but for me, it's enough to pull off the big move I've been planning!

"We still have a chance! It's not time to run yet!" I interrupted Princess Spiana, Shizuka, and the others' sadness.

"Nobita, do you really have a way now?" Suneo asked skeptically.

Even Doraemon wanted to leave.

Doraemon shook his head at Suneo's inquiring look; he didn't know what I was planning either.

"Nobita! Do you have a plan?" Princess Spiana looked at me stepping forward, a bit surprised.

It was me who saved her from despair before—could I save the kingdom again?

"I can only say I'll try my best!" I met Princess Spiana's expectant gaze without making promises.

"I believe in you! Go for it!" Shizuka stepped up to support me.

"Wait, are you going to assassinate Daburanda and Professer Kos?" Doraemon suddenly realized something and looked shocked.

"What? Nobita's that bold?" Suneo and Gian were stunned too.

"That's way too dangerous!" Princess Spiana and Shizuka worried.

I couldn't help but laugh and cry—what were they thinking?

That old fox Daburanda is super cautious, always surrounded by guards.

If it were that easy to assassinate him, Prince Kuntakku would've done it himself!

"What are you all talking about? It's not assassination!" I said helplessly.

"Not assassination? Then what other way is there?" Doraemon was puzzled.

I didn't want to keep chatting.

I went to the window of the giant statue's cockpit, looking through the green glass-like shield.

I could see Daburanda's fleet in the distance, preparing to attack.

This distance should work, I thought to myself.

I closed my eyes and slowly raised my hands.

Then, a massive wave of telekinetic energy surged from my mind.

Suneo and Gian looked confused as I raised my hands.

"Doraemon, what's Nobita doing?" They asked Doraemon.

Princess Spiana and Shizuka gave him inquiring looks too.

"Uh, probably his psychics?" Doraemon said uncertainly. He knew I often trained my powers, but he wasn't sure what I could do now with my current strength—enough to beat a whole fleet?

"Even Doraemon doesn't know?" To Suneo and Gian, Doraemon was always with me and should know best.

Doraemon shook his head and stayed silent.

The message was clear: just watch quietly!

Everyone fell silent, afraid to disturb me.

Meanwhile, I condensed my massive telekinesis—invisibly to them—into something like a rope, with a huge sphere at the end.

Once I formed the sphere, I opened my eyes.

Step one: done!

I stared intently at the fleet ahead, my hands moving instinctively. Telekinetic constructs don't need gestures, but standing there blankly felt dumb.

So I went with a movie-style pose.

Under my control, the telekinetic sphere flew toward Daburanda's fleet.

It quickly reached above Daburanda's flagship.

Daburanda was still smirking triumphantly, fantasizing about his coronation.

Little did he know disaster was imminent.

When the telekinetic sphere reached the spot I targeted, I knew the critical moment had arrived.

I manipulated the sphere to change: the connecting rope spread out like a spider web, latching onto other airships and parts of the flagship.

"Report: unidentified situation in the fleet! Many ships are frozen in place!" A messenger ran to report to Professer Kos and Daburanda.

"What? Do they have another unknown trick?"

"Order the Howling Cannons to fire! I want them turned to ash!" Professer Kos wanted to strike first to avoid complications.

"Yes, sir!" The messenger was about to relay the order.

But suddenly, airships were pulled and crashed together, and parts of the flagship's wooden deck and railings were yanked upward.

They all flew into the sky.

"What on earth is happening?" Daburanda and Professer Kos stared in horror at the flying debris and tugged ships.

Under my control, the aerial telekinetic sphere began spinning rapidly.

The pulling force grew, and the debris started contracting toward the sphere.

Visibly, a massive rotating orb formed from all the debris, appearing before everyone.

What is this?

That was not just Daburanda's thought, but also Doraemon and the others'.

Seeing the giant orb hovering above the flagship, Professer Kos and Daburanda turned pale.

"Quick, get the flagship out of here!" Professer Kos yelled.

"Report: the flagship can't move!" The messenger said helplessly.

"It's like it's controlled by that unknown thing in the sky!"

….

As the aerial orb expanded to dozens of meters in diameter, my face went pale. This was clearly exhausting.

But it was time.

I slowly uttered, "Tengai Shinsei!"
