Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: The Planetary Adventure Continues, Part 2

Roppuru adjusted his mindset, then turned to me and said, "Those people, they're doing everything they can to drive us away."

"Their goal is to monopolize the Garutite ore."

"They're so awful," I said, echoing his anger, even though I didn't really know what else to say. I mean, I know what these energy companies are like.

After everyone had played enough, we all went back to Roppuru's house.

After all, time on Earth and on Koya Koya Planet passes at different rates: two hours there is a whole day here.

So Doraemon and I decided we'd just stay and have fun for a few more days.

Roppuru was more than happy to have us.

That night, after dinner together at Roppuru's house, we all stood at the window, admiring the night view of Koya Koya.

The most amazing thing was that Koya Koya had two moons—one blue, one red.

I watched Clem, cute as ever, leaning on the windowsill. She wore her usual red-and-white dress, but it didn't hide her beautiful figure at all.

Her emerald green hair made her look even more youthful.

Honestly, in my previous life, I'd seen lots of people dye their hair. I always thought those weird colors looked pretty ugly.

But here, when I saw all these characters from the original anime with their strange hair colors, I realized: other hair colors can be really nice, especially when they're natural. It didn't turn me off at all.

In fact, I really liked it. Maybe that's just a rule of the anime world—nobody's ever ugly, unless they're really supposed to be.

Clem was gazing up at the sky, her big, sparkling eyes reflecting the red moon. The red moonlight fell across her body, making her look almost otherworldly.

"Nobita-nii, tonight's the red moon! Tomorrow the blue moon will rise!" Clem explained to me with a cheerful smile, worried I might not know.

"This planet really is amazing!" Doraemon sighed in awe.

"Can I bring my friends here to play?" The question slipped out of my mouth.

"If they're your friends, of course they're welcome! Right, Clem?" Roppuru thought for a second, then agreed.

"Yeah, Nobita-nii! Next time, you have to teach me some Earth games!" Clem said playfully.

Before I could say anything else, a beautiful woman came out from the living room.

"Roppuru, Clem, school starts tomorrow. Did you finish your winter homework?" Clem's mom—guess I'll just call her that from now on—asked.

"Ah! I still have some left!" Roppuru yelped.

Everyone burst out laughing at his reaction.

It's kind of funny—these kids saved a whole planet, and now they still have to do homework. I couldn't help but smile at that.

But am I any different? I still have to go to school, and sometimes I end up saving the world too.

In the end, maybe heroes aren't so different from ordinary people.

Maybe being a "hero" is just another way of being ordinary!

The night passed by pleasantly.

But I still went back to Earth to call Gian, Suneo, and Shizuka.

I mean, I wanted to keep the story on track. Even though I was basically a native here now, what if the Galtite Mining Company really went nuts and brought out a planet-destroying cannon or something?

One shot and the whole planet would be wiped out. Sure, the space police would show up afterward and talk about how justice always prevails or whatever, but if I'm dead by then, what's the point?

So I called Gian, Suneo, and Shizuka.

Gian and Suneo came as soon as they heard there was a huge open field to play baseball on, and plenty of time to play.

But the first thing Shizuka said when she arrived was, "Nobita, why haven't you come to see me these last few days?"

The way Shizuka looked at me—so full of longing—was a little embarrassing.

I had to say a lot of sweet things to calm her down. After what happened between us last time, she seemed even more charming than before. That pink top she wore made her chest look even bigger than last time, and her long legs under the red skirt drove me crazy.

I kept thinking about how good it felt with her last time. But with Suneo, Gian, and Doraemon right there, I didn't dare do anything.

So I just secretly held Shizuka's small, soft hand, making her blush.

After a lot of coaxing, Shizuka finally let go of her frustration, only saying, "I hope you'll visit my house again!"

Then she added, puzzled, "I don't know why, but my mom keeps telling me to invite you over."

She gave me a suspicious look.

I awkwardly changed the subject.

But just thinking about the feeling of her mom last time, I couldn't help but want to go again...

As soon as Gian and Suneo arrived, Gian said his famous line, "My dearest friends!"

He tried to give me a big hug.

Grossed out, I quickly pulled Suneo over.

Suneo got caught in Gian's bear hug, his tongue sticking out.

We all burst out laughing at the scene.

But now everyone was here.

Time to go to Koya Koya.

I pulled up the tatami mat, revealing that iron tunnel.

"Alright, here we go! Please, down you go!" I said with a grin.

"Wow!" Gian, Suneo, and Shizuka were all shocked.

"How did you make this hole?" Gian demanded.

"It's not even the first floor of Nobita's house!" Suneo gasped.

"Come on, let's go!" Doraemon said, jumping in first.

I followed.

The others, seeing us go, jumped in too.

We passed through the spaceship's interior and finally saw the world outside.

Suneo, Gian, and Shizuka were all amazed.

Who would've thought there'd be a whole planet under my tatami mat?

The air was so fresh!

And outside, Koya Koya looked totally different. Just one day, and it was nothing like the desert it was before.

Looks like winter's really over—hello, spring.

"Roppuru, I brought friends!" I called out when I saw Roppuru in the distance.

"Nobita!" Roppuru replied. Seeing a bunch of kids with me, he looked relieved.

"Hello, everyone!" Clem greeted us with a smile.

"Welcome to Koya Koya!"

Suddenly, Shizuka appeared beside me, grabbing my waist and giving it a hard twist.

"Shizuka, what was that for?" I gasped, trying to hide the pain.

Why do girls all know how to do that TV drama waist-twist thing?

Shizuka looked at me, full of suspicion. "Nobita, who's that girl?"

I put on my most righteous face. "Shizuka, what are you trying to say? She's just a friend I made here."

"I've only been here a few days! What are you even thinking?"

"Is that so?" Shizuka stopped questioning me out loud—but I could tell by her look she still had her doubts.
