The hall was larger than Noa had originally thought. The heavy breathing of the Rat King echoed through the chamber, shaking the ground slightly.
"Do we really have to fight?" Liz asked, fear evident on her face.
Thalia nodded with an unreadable expression.
According to her instincts, there was only one path they could take, and facing the Rat King was inevitable.
'It will be tough,' Noa thought, noting the monster's tough hide.
Still, he was motivated to do it.
Even his hands trembled with excitement, boiling his blood. He craved one more fight, and this enormous, corrupted beast was perfect to quench his hunger.

The two girls covered their mouths, gagging.
