Chapter 71 - Chapter 72 – Defeating Obito

The summoned giant Buddha wasn't as massive as the first time, but even Obito, in his Six‑Paths Sage mode, sensed something different. The Buddha's countless arms pulsed with strange, powerful energy. Though Obito had immense confidence—surpassing nearly all top-tier forces and combined with the Nine-Tails' power—he still chose to activate Sage mode facing such a threat.

Nearby, Naruto frowned and asked the injured Killer Bee, "Bee-uncle, did you feel that moment too?"

But Bee was confused, seeming unaware. Naruto realized Obito had flashed a memory or emotion at that moment, yet Bee hadn't perceived it. So Naruto silently watched as Tō and Obito faced off.

"You never admitted that Kakashi killed Rin, did you?" Tō asked with a smile as the Buddha stood. Obito's expression froze.

"No matter—I had nothing to do with Kakashi. But if you dare conspire with Madara, I won't let you live!" Tō said, sealing her stance. Dozens of giant arms struck Obito with spatially compressed force.

Obito expected she might deflect everything, so he didn't use Sage jutsu—he vanished into another dimension via space-time ninjutsu. At that moment, Kakashi's Sharingan pulsed to its peak. Naruto grabbed Kakashi's shoulder, and all four (Naruto, Kakashi, Bee, and Tō) vanished into that dimension.

"Tō's Ultimate Buddha Form!" she shouted, as dozens of arms pounded Obito unrelentingly. He barely had time to react.

Every ounce of his chakra erupted as his fists formed—punches clashing with the Buddha's strikes. Space trembled. Obito was blasted away, sputtering blood.

"Raikiri!" Kakashi seized the opening, lunging a lightning blade toward Obito's heart—but passed through space. Obito had no physical heart.

As Kakashi hesitated, Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan spun—Kakashi stood frozen, caught in an illusion. Obito smirked and aimed at Tō—but Tō's Mangekyō Sharingan glowed, too, dragging all four of them into her genjutsu.

"In my genjutsu world, Obito… you only stoop lower and lower," Tō sneered.

Obito smiled. "I wield Six‑Paths power and weaponry—do you think your genjutsu traps me?" His eye's power tore through the illusion, rendering Tō bleeding from her eyes.

"This back-and-forth genjutsu war is endless. Let's just fight," Kakashi growled. He and Naruto attacked directly with taijutsu, but in this Sage-of-Six‑Paths transformation, ninjutsu was futile.

Tō remained focused, forming seals and watching Obito intently, searching for a flaw so she could extract the Ten-Tails' chakra. Without that, they couldn't seal or stop this monster.

Madara's power now surpassed even the First Hokage. The Uchiha's experience dwarfed that of the young Sasuke and the calm Itachi. And Zetsu remained an unknown wild card.

"Stopping the Eye of the Moon plan is how I repay this ninja world," Tō answered Obito, then vanished via a wind-style move. Just as Obito evaded Naruto and Kakashi, Tō slipped through and struck his chest with one palm, like the First Hokage sealing the Nine-Tails; she yanked at his inner force. Obito staggered as if controlled.

He roared, space twisted, and all four of them reappeared in physical reality. Obito staggered on the ocean surface. Tō's chakra lines now extended into Obito's body, pulling at the Ten-Tails within.

Even Madara, witnessing this scene—seeing Obito as a Sage-mode Ten-Tails Jinchūriki—was stunned that these shinobi could defeat him.

Tō was exhausted. Each pull used tremendous chakra and stamina—if converted to normal ninjutsu like huge Fireballs, she could have launched dozens... Sweat dripped from her brow into the ocean.

"I said it: whoever executes your Eye-of-Moon plan… if it comes to me, you die," Tō declared coldly.

Roar…

At that moment, the Ten-Tails was fully drawn forth as a beast. Its overwhelming presence even daunted Tō.

"Now what? Shall we seal him again?" Naruto asked. The Nine-Tails glared at the emerging Ten-Tails with obvious disgust.

Tō pondered—and glanced at Madara. If Madara attained the Ten-Tails, that would be far worse. Between Madara's experience, knowledge of the First and Second Hokage's capabilities—and the unknown Zetsu—things could worsen.

She inhaled deeply and said softly: "No matter. Let's go deal with Zetsu and Madara now!"

With that, she instantly teleported beside Zetsu and unleashed her palm onto his back: "If you end up in an unfamiliar place, don't blame me." Zetsu was flung away—though in truth, Black Zetsu had abandoned White Zetsu. Tō didn't even realize that before hitting him.

Madara narrowed his eyes. Even the First or Second Hokage alone couldn't suppress him, but this Tō posed a threat. He had no idea about her combat style... and being reanimated, he couldn't even handle the Ten-Tails' power himself.
