After a few days.
Arena, Blue Cross vs Yellow Soldiers.
The horn blared.
The second bell rang.
Silence.
Then...
Blue Cross Institute's team moved first.
Yamcha stepped forward, tall, broad-shouldered, black coat snapping behind him. His Aura flared, and the floor beneath his boots fractured with each step.
Across the sand, the Yellow Soldiers fanned out, their leader, a stocky man, spun twin sabers.
"Don't hold back!" he barked.
Yamcha didn't even blink.
His teammates, three cloaked figures, spread in a V-formation, sharp daggers in their hands.
Yamcha whispered calmly to his teammates. "No survivors."
The Yellow Soldiers charged as one, four fighters moving in a Viking formation. Their Auras flared, creating a barrier as they approached.
The first of Yamcha's teammates, a wiry boy with tattoos along his neck, raised both hands.
"Power Zone: ChainField!"
Metallic chains erupted from the sand like serpents, wrapping two Yellow Soldiers mid‑stride, crushing their legs with sickening cracks. They screamed, toppling.
The crowd gasped.
The king was about to faint.
"How did he learn Power Zone?"
Duke Kaelbrand calmed him.
"My King, look at it, it's not the real Power Zone, it's like a mini version."
"I thought only that Elias kid was a genius, but I was wrong." Soei stated.
Back at the Arena,
The leader of the Yellow Soldiers snarled and slashed through the chains with a strike. Sparks filled the air.
"Retreat."
The two remaining fighters of the Yellow Soldiers backed up.
"Yuno, it's bad luck for the Yellow Soldiers to fight us, the Black Emirates," Yamcha said. Smiling.
"Three of us can use the mini-Power Zone. But in your group?"
"Only you can."
"Tch.."
A woman from Yamcha's team used the distraction to activate her Power Attribute.
"Refract!," she muttered.
Light warped. No one could see her or tell where she stood.
Snikt!
Yuno's teammate dropped.
Yuno turned and was in disbelief.
"U..Umuya."
He checked him but he wasn't breathing.
Yuno roared.
"Power Zone: Null Field!"
All Team 3 members, including Yamcha took some steps back.
"I AM GOING TO KILL HER!"
"MOVE, YAMCHA."
The girl was grinning like she didn't do anything wrong. Basically, she was a bitch.
Yamcha started moving forward with fury in his eyes.
The sphere expanded, and everything within it vanished out of existence.
Above the arena, the Nobles' section.
"Shouldn't we stop the match?"
"No, they fully knew the consequences of fighting a fight you can't win." The King answered.
The Arena,
Yamcha sighed.
"Watch closely," he said to his team.
He stepped towards the zone.
The crowd shouted in alarm. Even nobles in the balcony leaned forward.
"Is he crazy? That's a Null Field."
"Aura Power: Absolute Break."
He punched forward once.
The mini-Power Zone shattered with a sound like thunder. Yuno screamed as his technique was shattered.
He staggered to his knees, eyes wide.
Yamcha walked up to him slowly.
"You fought well," he said softly.
"I will kill her if you don't kill me. I promise you." Yuno said, with hateful eyes.
"I can't have you do that to my girlfriend."
Then he covered his hands with his Crush Power.
"I learnt this trick from a little boy, Elias."
Then his fists blurred. He was about to break Yuno's skull with a punch.
"Stop!"
"The fight has ENDED!"
"Blue Cross wins!"
The crowd went wild.
"Blue Cross! Blue Cross!"
The commentator's voice shook:"Annihilation in less than four minutes! Yamcha's team utterly dismantles the Yellow Soldiers!"
After a while, Royal Balcony.
"That boy... Yamcha... he's stronger than the Push-user. He didn't even use his full power."
Soei, the Senate of Whispers, murmured, "Blue Cross Institute has been training assassins, not students. Their cohesion, their aura synergy… lethal."
Marchioness Vera tapped her lip with her fan.
The King's knuckles whitened. He was smiling.
Red Spire Quarters.
Cid sat cross‑legged on the bench, eyes closed, listening to the arena replay through the speakers.
Elias whistled low."Damn… that Yamcha guy… he broke a Null field. Alone."
Myra folded her arms.
"He could defeat Kavon in a breath."
"No," Cid said.
He was thinking.
"If I'm going to beat someone like Kavon... I need more than Invert. More than tricks."
He clenched his fists.
"I have to get stronger."
Royal Balcony.
The nobles were still murmuring about Yamcha's display when a messenger burst into the balcony, pale and drenched in sweat.
"Your... Your Majesty!"
He fell to one knee, scroll trembling in his hands.
King Edoras turned slowly, irritation in his eyes.
"What is it? Speak."
The messenger's voice cracked.
"A...a Colossal has appeared, my King. Not near borders... but in the heart of the Eiran Kingdom. The capital..."
He swallowed.
"It is gone. Flattened. No walls remain. No survivors reported. The creature... It's moving east."
For the first time that day, silence drowned the balcony. Everyone stood up, paralyzed with fear. Even Duke Kaelbrand's jaw tightened.
"A..another... Colossal?" Soei whispered, fingers trembling around his monocle.
"But... but only one wasn't killed. The Sealed Colossal."
The King's face darkened, unreadable.
"Send riders to every Senate. Lock the borders. No ships leave this continent until I say so."
Marchioness Vera gasped softly behind her fan."If it is moving east..."
"It will reach us in just four months," Duke Kaelbrand finished grimly.
Hours later. Bolt Kingdom, Zareth, Capital Streets.
Bells tolled. Messengers ran. In taverns and markets, whispers spread like wildfire.
"They say a giant crushed the entire Eiran Kingdom!"
"No, it was more than that... a Colossal... one of those things from the old wars.
"Whole villages gone... my cousin lived there..."
"God, help us..."
Children cried in alleyways. Merchants packed up their stalls. The entire city buzzed with terror.
Red Spire Quarters.
Cid sat on his bunk, head lowered, still bruised from the tournament.
Elias was lying on the floor tossing a ball in the air while Myra sharpened her wind‑etched blades.
Then a panicked student burst through the door.
"Have you heard?!"
Cid raised his head slowly.
"What now?"
"The Eiran Kingdom... It's been wiped off the map. A Colossal did it."
Elias froze, the ball slipping from his hand.
"...That's not possible."
"It's true! They're saying the King himself is preparing the borders. Everyone's talking about it. Even the instructors are locking down the gates!"
Cid felt the weight of it, sinking into his gut like a stone. Another Colossal… out of nowhere. He clenched his fists until his knuckles went white.
"My dad..." Cid thought. "Is he dead? Did he survive?"
He didn't know when tears started falling from his eyes.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Elias asked, concerned.
Cid raised his hands to wipe his tears in shock.
"Why am I crying?"
Cid still has feelings for his father. After all, he is still his father.
