Chapter 349 - Chapter 349: We Eliminate Khorne, a Grand Wedding, and the Alliance of Two Races

"I do not know if this method is suitable for you, but I can share all my insights and experiences. Perhaps this will be of some help to the version of me in your world."

The Corpse Emperor continued speaking. "But you must understand, the Dark King is a deity of extreme power. My very existence is tied to him; in a sense, I originated from him.

"Therefore, our power stems from the same source. When he falls into slumber to absorb the energies of darkness and despair, I can perceive those forces. Furthermore, due to humanity's sacrifices, I have generated countless negative personas.

"This is the reason I am able to wield the power of the Dark King. If you wish to absorb a similar power, it is best to seek out a Warp deity whose attributes are equivalent to your own."

"I have already thought this through," Axis replied. "I intend to absorb the power of Khaine, the Aeldari's God Of War. Moreover, I plan to assimilate the shards of Khaine from both universes."

This matter was something Axis had planned long ago. Cegorach, the Laughing God of his own world's Aeldari, had already agreed to assist and was currently gathering the shards. As for the Aeldari God of the Dead in this universe, he was already an ally of Axis.

With the God of the Dead's help, along with the speed of the Ynnari forces and Ynnead's authority, collecting the shards of Khaine would not be a difficult task.

"A sound choice. I intended to recommend him to you as well, but actually, there is a more suitable candidate," the Corpse Emperor said, suddenly changing the subject.

"Oh? Is there anyone in this universe more suitable for me to devour than the War God Khaine?" Axis was slightly curious as to whom the Emperor was referring.

"Axis, your power relates to war. To be precise, it relates to combat. Khaine is indeed the god who governs war in this universe.

"But if we speak of combat, of bloodthirsty slaughter, and of whose compatibility is highest with you, then there is only one. I think you know who it is." The Corpse Emperor gave his answer to Axis.

Axis had not expected this. The Emperor of this world was actually suggesting that he devour Khorne!

However, strictly speaking, his compatibility with Khorne was indeed higher than with the Aeldari War God. Pure combat. The pure warrior.

"Correct, it is him. One of the four Chaos Gods. Your current strength is not much different from theirs. If you can absorb the shards of the Aeldari War God first, you will meet all the necessary conditions."

"You can thoroughly devour one of them, and the most suitable one is Khorne. I can help you with this," the Corpse Emperor said.

"You mean Khorne? You want me to eat Khorne!" Axis was immediately startled.

He narrowed his eyes as he listened. This Golden corn was not a good person. He was wicked, truly wicked.

He just wanted Axis to do the dirty work and eliminate one of the Ruinous Powers. was the Emperor not afraid that Axis would be consumed by the Chaos God's power in return? Or was the Emperor of this universe certain that Axis would win?

In truth, Axis possessed God Ki. If he consumed the Fruit of the Tree of Might after absorbing the shards of the War God, devouring a Chaos God would not be terribly difficult. Axis was confident he could digest Khorne's power.

However, in all fairness, if it were the Khorne of his own universe, Axis would not kill him unless Khorne betrayed him first.

That was how he treated friends, and Axis genuinely considered the Khorne of his own world to be a friend. Regardless of the utilitarian nature of their start, subsequent events had drawn them closer, especially after Axis ascended to godhood.

But if it was the Khorne of this universe, Axis would not hesitate.

"I can hold off the other three Chaos Gods for you, allowing you to focus entirely on absorbing Khorne's power," the Emperor said meaningfully.

He desperately wanted to facilitate this event. Axis, the alternate Sanguinius, and the arrival of his daughter and grandson from another world were a tremendous help to their universe.

"This will not be easy to execute. You know I plan to rescue the Aeldari Goddess of Life, Isha, which will certainly offend the Grandfather," Axis noted.

Taking on three at once, this Golden Old Man was certainly brave.

"Therefore, we shall weaken Nurgle first! A plague war will break out soon."

"My unfilial son, Mortarion, will launch this war. I will use this conflict and act through Guilliman's physical vessel to inflict heavy damage upon Nurgle."

"When that happens, the enemies we face will be reduced to two. And from a certain perspective, the Aeldari God of the Dead can also help us delay Slaanesh," the Corpse Emperor explained.

Ynnead was destined to slay Slaanesh. Furthermore, since his awakening and Axis's assistance in acquiring a vessel to walk the material realm, the Prince of Pleasure would inevitably be nervous.

The Emperor would only need to fully concentrate on dealing with Tzeentch. There was a greater than seventy percent chance of success, and that was calculated without fully understanding the extent of Axis's capabilities.

An Axis who had absorbed the shards of Khaine would undoubtedly be even stronger. If they could truly bring down a Chaos God, the pressure on the Emperor would be significantly reduced. Facing three was always better than facing four.

"Hahaha! I agree to this plan. But we need to discuss the strategy carefully. For now, let us finish the tasks at hand," Axis said.

The Emperor nodded and began to meticulously instruct Axis on how to absorb divine power, how to devour shards of Warp entities with compatible attributes, and even shared the methods he used back in the day to fuse fragments of human deities into the Primarchs.

The two communicated in the Warp for a long time, and Axis completely mastered the Emperor's techniques.

It had to be said that after sitting on the Golden Throne for ten thousand years, the Emperor's mastery over divine power had reached an unimaginable level.

He could create his own Legion of the Damned, Greater Daemons, and even ascended Daemon Princes. The Golden Old Man indeed had a few tricks up his sleeve.

After concluding his exchange with the Emperor, Axis returned to his quarters to organize this new knowledge. Simultaneously, preparations for the wedding began.

The wedding that took place a few days later was not a grand celebration in the traditional sense. It was more akin to a solemn alliance ceremony combined with a mobilization assembly for a massive campaign.

Guilliman would depart with Yvraine for Holy Terra immediately after the wedding concluded, without a minute's delay.

The Ultramarines' Honor Guard stood tall like a forest of steel, their Terminator armor reflecting a cold, heavy sheen.

The Living Saint, Celestine, wore armor that shone with divine golden light, a holy halo flowing around her.

Standing beside her was Axis's son, dressed in attire that fused the style of a Saiyan warrior with the elite power armor aesthetics of the Imperium. He looked heroic and spirited.

Together they created a striking visual contrast, one a descendant of warriors from another realm brimming with raw power, the other a sanctified embodiment of the Emperor's faith in this universe.

Their engagement ceremony was concise and solemn. Guilliman delivered brief blessings as a witness, while Axis and Kasha nodded and smiled from the side.

After Guilliman concluded his speech, Axis and Kasha offered their blessings as parents.

During their time on Macragge, Axis had used his formidable life-force to forge a brand new body for the Living Saint. He had also given her a first-generation Fruit of the Tree of Might, elevating her physical constitution to a level comparable to the Adeptus Custodes. Only in this way would she be a suitable match for his son.

"I entrust him to you, Celestine. Take good care of my son. I hope the two of you enjoy a blissful and fulfilling marriage in your future life," Kasha said, offering her blessing to Saint Celestine.

"I will, Mother, and Father as well," Celestine replied with a nod.

With the engagement of Axis's son and Saint Celestine concluded, it was time for the main event.

The protagonists took the stage. Guilliman wore his elaborately crafted Armor of Fate, looking regal and grave.

Yvraine, the High Priestess of the Ynnari, was draped in the most exquisite Aeldari finery. Her face was obscured by a veil, revealing only a pair of starry eyes that shimmered with light.

The Aeldari God of the Dead had also come to observe the ceremony. The leading deity stood at the forefront, tall in stature and clad in magnificent ceremonial robes, offering a slight nod to Axis.

The Aeldari and Humanity, representatives of two ancient enemies, completed a symbolic marriage union under the gaze of countless eyes.

Accompanied by the cadence of graceful music, when Guilliman and Yvraine walked onto the main platform in silence, every warrior in the great hall, human and Aeldari alike, adjusted their stances slightly to show respect, or perhaps vigilance.

The air seemed to solidify, leaving only the sound of heavy breathing and the low hum of power armor servos.

Truth be told, all the Ultramarines present were somewhat resentful that their father was marrying an Aeldari woman. The feeling was mutual on the Aeldari side.

Why would the great High Priestess of the Ynnari, the mouthpiece of the God of the Dead, marry a human mon-keigh?

The only consolation was that this wild mon-keigh was not an ordinary one, but a demigod among his kind.

The officiant was a highly respected Archmagos from Macragge, not a priest of the Ecclesiarchy, leaning towards rationality and Imperial tradition. His voice echoed through the vast hall via vox-casters, sounding distinct and mechanical.

The vows were heavily simplified. All words regarding love and happiness were excised, replaced by terms such as duty, alliance, the common future of Humanity and the Aeldari, and the forging of a sacred contract witnessed by the Emperor for the humans and Ynnead for the Aeldari.

Guilliman's voice was steady and powerful, sounding much like he was reading operational orders.

Yvraine's voice drifted through her veil, ethereal and calm.
