Golden ki flames surged around Axis like a living entity, his figure transforming into a blazing golden meteor as he hurled himself toward the Rangda War-Moon at a speed that defied all reason.
"Open fire! Fire immediately! Destroy that…whatever that is!" the Rangda commander barked.
Tens of thousands of gun batteries on the fortress lit up at once, weaving a net of death from tightly-packed energy beams.
Axis's body glowed with a circular green barrier, charging straight through the barrage.
BOOM—!
With an earth-shattering crash, the entire fortress trembled violently.
Everyone inside was tossed about, struggling to stay on their feet.
Axis punched straight through the outermost void shield and energy barrier, smashing a crater several hundred meters wide into the fortress's thick armor.
Sirens wailed throughout the interior as countless Rangda warriors scrambled in panic toward damage control stations.
The commander of the Rangda fleet stared wide-eyed in disbelief, jaw hanging open.
In his mind, no living creature had ever dared challenge their War-Moon with their bare flesh, such an idea was pure lunacy!
And yet, today, a single being had rammed their ship head-on, and seemed to have inflicted catastrophic damage.
"R-Report, commander! The enemy–the enemy has broken in! Our energy shields are completely down!"
"That's impossible!" the Xenos Rangda commander shouted, his three eyes bulging. "Activate the second layer of defense! All close-in batteries, concentrate fire! Annihilate the intruder!"
Axis stood at the heart of the impact crater, raising his right hand with a look of contempt. A blinding orb of ki gathered in his palm.
A torrent of energy swept forth, obliterating every turret, compartment, and defensive structure in its path.
The beam carved its way through over thirty kilometers of fortress superstructure, bursting out the far side and leaving a dazzling trail across the void.
Several Rangda warships in the vicinity, seeing Axis attack their flagship, hesitated, not knowing whether to retaliate or hold their fire.
But Axis didn't give them a moment to decide.
He casually hurled several massive ki blasts their way, blowing them to pieces.
Blue-white ki blasts burst from the War-Moon, bombarding every Rangda ship in range.
Brilliant flowers of fire bloomed in the void, and in mere moments, nearly two hundred Rangda ships circling the fortress were reduced to wreckage.
Axis had destroyed over ninety percent of them.
"What beautiful fireworks," he commented.
"R-Report, commander! O-One hundred and eighty of our ships has been destroyed!" In the command center, the Rangda commander's face turned ashen.
But Axis's onslaught had only just begun.
Letting out a low roar, he soared skyward, his golden ki flaring even brighter. His hair turned golden, and crackling lightning danced faintly across his body.
He clenched his fists and threw punch after punch at the breach.
Each strike carried apocalyptic force, causing the fortress's structure to collapse wherever his fists landed.
Huge chunks of debris rained around like a meteor shower.
Now, some Rangda soldiers clad in massive powered armor rushed onto the scene.
They were grotesque, hulking monsters by human standards, shrieking and swinging their power swords at Axis.
"Charging toward your deaths, are we?" Axis smiled.
With the power of a Super Saiyan unleashed, the slaughter began.
Axis became a streak of golden lightning within the fortress, unleashing a storm of carnage wherever he passed.
The elite Rangda warriors in powered armor barely had time to react before raging waves of ki ripped them to pieces, spraying the corridors with blood.
Axis swung his fist, and every Rangda within thirty meters exploded into red mist.
He spun and lashed out with a whip kick, sending a ki-charged shockwave down the corridor that sliced the enemy in half.
Organs and blue blood splattered across the metal walls, creating a grotesque abstract painting.
How disgusting.
So these things had blue blood? The last one he'd fought didn't have this distinctive blue blood.
Axis sneered, appearing as a blurred afterimage before a gun turret about to open fire.
He casually gripped the barrel and crushed it with a squeeze, like crumpling an empty can.
The operator inside let out a ghastly scream as he was crushed into a pulp, blue blood oozing from the wreckage.
It looked a bit like blueberry juice.
The wail of alarms, explosions, and screams echoed in a chaotic cacophony throughout the fortress.
Axis strolled leisurely through the corridors, every step trailing destruction and death.
He even deliberately slowed his pace, letting fear fester in the hearts of these xenos.
Saiyans really did take pleasure in this kind of thrill.
Axis grinned viciously, blasting out waves of ki from both hands and reducing every Rangda Xenos nearby to ash.
"Stop him! Someone stop him!" the Rangda commander shrieked hysterically, his three eyes bloodshot.
He had never seen a creature so terrifying. This golden demon was enacting a one-sided massacre!
At that moment, the Rangda commander suddenly recalled a report from a few days prior: the First Fleet had supposedly been destroyed by a warp storm.
But in truth, it was this golden demon who had annihilated their entire fleet. When this message first came in, none of the Rangda commanders had believed it.
How could a golden demon possibly destroy an entire fleet? The idea was absurd, no living being should possess such overwhelming power!
When this report first came in, there were no visuals attached. Nothing could be transmitted except a single, hurried psychic message.
Some commanders took the warning seriously and chose to retreat, but others simply dismissed it, thinking the First Fleet had exaggerated things.
He, unfortunately, was one of those who thought it was all blown out of proportion.
Only now did he finally understand, there had been no exaggeration whatsoever.
But it was too late for regrets.
"Run… run for your lives!"
"That's not a living creature, it's a demon a demon from the Wrap!"
"Help! Somebody, save us!"
"H-How is this possible…" The Rangda commander's voice trembled so much he could barely get the words out.
The Rangda warriors had collapsed, their proud technology and carefully drilled tactics utterly meaningless in the face of this golden demon.
Some threw down their weapons and bolted in panic, others fell to their knees begging for mercy, and most simply stood frozen, paralyzed by terror.
Once upon a time, they had been conquerors of the stars, subjugating countless species.
They had even enslaved the humans, ripping out their brains to turn them into puppets.
In their last war against humanity, they'd nearly killed a high-ranking human commander using a new type of brain-control weapon.
To prepare for this new conflict, they'd spent decades and poured untold resources into developing new weapons and gear.
Never had they imagined that, the second time around, they would encounter a monster like this.
Axis carved a path forward, completely unstoppable.
Soon, he reached the command center of the War-Moon.
He stood atop a mountain of corpses, a sea of blood at his feet, golden ki flames illuminating the interior in a glorious massacre.
Tilting his head slightly, Axis looked at the Rangda commander slumped in his chair, a cruel smile curling at the corners of his mouth.
"Hehehehe, it looks like you finally understand!
"You picked a fight with the wrong species.
"I'm going to wipe out your entire race.
Not a single one shall remain." Axis's words rang out like a death sentence from the reaper himself.
It seemed, however, that there was a bit of a language barrier, he wasn't sure if the Xenos truly understood him.
"You—damned demon, the mighty Galactic Empire will never let you get away with this! The Empire has over a dozen powerful species, hundreds of fleets, weapons far beyond the undertsnding of your human science!" the Rangda commander roared back in flawless High Gothic, his translator device clinging to one ear.
Axis sneered, and in a blur, appeared right in front of the Xenos commander.
He seized the Xenos by the throat, hoisting him up, and then wrenched one of the commander's four arms clean off.
"AAAHHH!" The ugly, monstrous Rangda shrieked in agony, sounding almost like a tormented ghost.
Honestly, the Rangdas—at least this batch—were downright repulsive by any human standard.
"Don't scream so much. Don't you have four arms? I only pulled off one," Axis tsk'ed coldly.
The Lion had complained last time that he'd never brought back a live prisoner.
This one must be some high-ranking officer if he could command a War Moon. Axis decided to take him back alive.
The Rangda commander's three eyes spun wildly as one of his hand slammed down toward oe blue button of the control panel.
It was a button that would trigger the War-Moon's self-destruct mechanism.
If they couldn't defeat this monster, then they'd all go down together!
But Axis was faster.
With a quick blast of ki, he vaporized the Xenos's outstretched hand.
"You know, your stupidest mistake was thinking humanity was still that weak little species from your memories.
"And trying to pull tricks right in front of me?
"Haven't you seen what I have done? Tsk, tsk, tsk you could've lived as a prisoner."
"G-ghh…" The Rangda commander's throat cracked as Axis's grip tightened, blue blood foaming from his mouth.
"Too late for regrets man!" Axis squeezed just a bit harder.
A sickening crack echoed out.
The Rangda commander's neck snapped, his corpse tossed aside like a ragdoll.
At that moment, the remaining Rangda crew stared at Axis in terror, then scattered in every direction, fleeing for their lives.
Perhaps he could get some valuable intel from this War-Moon, there were still plenty of survivors left, after all.
