Jin Xuan never really slept that deep. When his instincts warned him of incoming, he was set to fight and clean-up before daybreak. It was his role as Zi Hao's most loyal sword. It was already a huge mess to lose him once and now it was time to act. Yet...
From the small camera he set, just for safety purposes not more and less. Though he suspects it has already been discovered. Jin Xuan that he wasn't needed at all but that serves to be more dangerous isn't it.
Hanging around the hall just waiting for a sign for his needed entrance, he also felt weary. The person his leader attached himself to wasn't so simple. No prior background and a clean slate. Nothing to note for the strength she exhibited in taking down 2 men so swiftly.
Which was why he also returned to his room as soon as he felt that Zi Hao had left.
2 men stared at each other tensely before Jin Xuan respectfully bowed.
"Leader... you have returned." Jin Xuan was well aware that something was wrong from the first moment he located him. Zi Hao wasn't such a person who sticks around another person's home especially in the face of delicate balances between different forces. There have been losses already and the knife's tip has been pointing towards them.
It's just that. For Jin Xuan, a person with deep loyalty, even if the leader's seemingly amnesiac, he wouldn't be one to disregard his leader's own standing. He'd hoped that Zi Hao would find the peace hard won through a simple love story. Afterall, he'd known that they were running towards a dead end.
Zi Hao hummed which snapped Jin Xuan out of his revery. He didn't know how to procceed with the current situation. Afterall, silencing Lin Yang seems out of the picture which was also not their style and only revenge was their agenda that's left.
"Xuan, clean-up. Silently and be unseen." Zi Hao stated in an imposing manner seemingly impenetrable by any attacks.
"Understood. But..." Jin Xuan knows that Zi Hao was cutting ties and seems to be ending everything between them. As a brother... Actually, he also didn't know where the road would lead.
Another brief look exchanged between them before Jin Xuan disappeared to finish-up.

A few days passed seemingly of the ordinary, however, the capital's scene has changed. The Mister who has been missing has returned and seems to be fueled to accomplish everything that he must. He hasn't rested and to those who would know better, he was burying himself in work to not think about anything else. Which was timely since the stage has been set and only the performers are to be sought.
"Host. You'd have to do something the D-day is fast approaching and the progress of the world's destruction has gone up by half!" The system who had undergone disciplinary measure was back to see such a mess. He knew that the host was unreliable! Huhuhuhu, he shouldn't be tempted by such a radiant soul, indeed, they are the most stubborn and bent on their ways!
Lin Yang hummed in response to the system. She was looking at the documents she must review before submitting to the leader. As a responsible worker she should complete all tasks for her role afterall.

In the gala, the female lead was kidnapped which prompted the male lead and her supporters to raze the ground to find her. However, this wasn't such a good move for the main leads. If everything went to their due process, the female lead would not return to a huge loss in her forces. The villain was the one who orchestrated it, only a small nudge to the the female supporting role as to kidnap the fl, which brought out the forces hidden in the dark to save her. Of course, the villain also assisted the supporting role to cover her tracks. This really prompted the male lead to reveal his strength too early causing the loss of trust from his strongest backer, the male lead's grandfather.

"Host! How are you even going to attend! It's a top-notch member's only event. You should have help on tightly to the villain when he was at your home!" The system energetically chastised even with a hint of looking down on Lin Yang
"Oh?" Lin Yang chuckled.
The system woke up to its senses and felt a tinge of regret. It should be lying low for a while especially in this world. It doesn't know how the main system will evaluate it after being reported twice? It even has a criminal record!
Lin Yang turned and greeted Su Yan warmly who was coming in after getting out from her service.
"Noooo. Host, aren't you so manipulative?" The system watched as Su Yan cheerily greeted and chatted with its host. Su Yan was the daughter of the company's president which was not public knowledge so how could the host know?
"Lin Yang~ I feel so wronged, I don't want to attend this party but my father feels that it's a must for me. Anyways, people still don't take me seriously and just uses me as comparison to Xia Wei." Su Yan coquettishly complains while hanging her hand around Lin Yang's shoulders. They were in the pantry and Lin Yang was just grabbing a cola to maximize the benefits of this company.
Su Yan doesn't know but before the heroine's rebirth, she was the prime attraction. It could be said that she was the golden daughter and carefully cultivated heir of the company. The system doesn't know if its the host effect or its just Su Yan's true nature but Su Yan was originally a cold-hearted beauty who won't casually hang onto anyone just like how she is now to the host. Who knows why the host caught this princess' attention.
Looking at her friend's unchanging appearance, she suddenly had a bright idea.
"Lin Yang! Why don't you go with me?" Su Yan flashed her puppy eyes and posed as cutely as she imagined herself. If Lin Yang goes, surely she won't be alone and maybe Lin Yang's natural aura can be a deterrent to anyone who comes to talk.
"No." Lin Yang curtly answered
"Ehhh!??" The system and Su Yan exclaimed,
"Host! Isn't this the golden opportunity to enter the gala? Why refuse?!" The system really couldn't understand the brain circuit of this host.
"Hmm, I'm busy that day." Lin Yang responded to Su Yan's inquiring eyes
"Something you can't avoid?" Su Yan again flashed her puppy eyes
Lin Yang squinted her eyes and rubbed Su Yan's head.
"Yeah." After filling her bottle, Lin Yang already began to walk back to her office.
"Host! What else could you do?" The system exhaustingly asked.
"Well, the mission." Lin Yang finally responded to the system.
The system just felt like a stone by the river. Who is it that it can't seem to understand the developments. Did it even hear right??
