CHAPTER 110 — THE Mission
The strike cruiser moved steadily through space, its course unchanged. Inside it, far from the bridge and command decks, there was a chamber built for one purpose only: training.
The gym was massive, reinforced with thick adamantium walls, floor plating and many equipments that aren't meant for any Normal humans. The air carried a faint metallic smell, mixed with heat from hours of repeated impact. At the far end of the chamber stood several adamantium plates mounted upright. They were bolted directly into the deck and reinforced from behind. These were not targets meant to break easily.
They no longer looked new.
Gaius stood before them.
He wore his full armor, the golden auramite catching the chamber's light in muted reflections. Both of his hands were encased in the new power fists, but the energy fields were inactive. There was no glow, no hum of power. These were not powered strikes.
This was raw strength.
Gaius drew back his arm and struck the plate again.
The sound was deep and heavy, not sharp. Metal slammed into metal with crushing force. The plate bent inward another fraction, cracks spreading wider across its surface. Small fragments broke free and clattered to the floor.
Gaius did not stop.
He struck again.
And again.
His movements were controlled, steady, without anger. Each punch followed the last with careful balance. He was learning the weight of the fists, how they shifted his center of gravity, how much force his body produced even without the power field.
Hours had passed.
Sweat ran down the side of his neck, disappearing beneath his armor. His breathing remained even. No rush. No wasted motion.
He had been training for days to grow accustomed to the power fist. Though he was already highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat, he pushed himself further, conditioning his movements and strength to fully master the weapon.
The adamantium plate was no longer flat. It looked brutalized, bent and cracked, its surface scarred by repeated blows. It was a testament of his Training.
Gaius pulled his fist back and finally paused.
At that moment, a familiar presence made itself known.
A system window appeared in his vision.
Mission Available
Mission: Help Wonder Woman, Kill Doomsday
Objective 1: Kill Doomsday
Objective 2: Acquire 1–3 Mother Boxes
Participants: 0/5 Accepted
Gaius stared at the words.
The phrasing was unmistakable. There was no room for doubt.
Kill.
Not stop. Not contain. Not defeat.
This was an enemy meant to be ended.
Unlike his previous missions, where defeat or kill had been an option, this one allowed no alternatives.
This time, the objective was simple.
Kill.
Before Gaius could think further, the Multiversal Chat, came alive all at once.
Naruto:
"Doomsday? Like Saeko?"
Seeing the word "Doomsday," Naruto's mind immediately drifted to the apocalypse that had struck Saeko's world.
Mindy's reply came almost instantly.
Mindy:
"Naruto, read it properly. It says kill Doomsday. Not stop. Not survive. That means it's something that can be killed."
A pause followed.
Diana:
"I do not recognize that name."
It was clear that Diana had never heard the name "Doomsday" before.
Tony replied next, slower and more cautious.
Tony:
"Just the name alone sounds bad. Whatever this thing is, it's probably very strong."
Saeko's message followed.
Saeko:
"Five participants can accept. Does that mean… all of us can finally meet?"
Naruto responded almost immediately.
Naruto:
"So that's Mindy, Gaius, Diana, Tony, Saeko, and me~"
There was a delay.
Naruto:
"…Wait. That's Six."
Mindy's reply came sharp and annoyed.
Mindy:
"Diana doesn't need to accept, idiot. It's her world."
A few seconds passed.
Naruto:
"Oh. Yeah! Hahaha."
Saeko spoke again, more thoughtful this time.
Saeko: "Then this is our chance to truly strengthen ourselves, not just rely on Tony's gadgets."
She already knew from Diana that accepting the mission would come with a reward.
Mindy agreed.
Mindy:
"Yeah. We're not just watching anymore. Ordinary people don't have to stay ordinary."
Gaius closed the notification window.
He accepted the mission.
But he didn't interact with the second panel that appeared, the one asking if he was ready to proceed.
Preparation came first.
Gaius activated his vox.
"Titus," he said. "Prepare yourself. Assemble the Bladeguard."
Acknowledgments came one by one.
Gaius turned and left the training chamber.
His steps carried him deep into the ship, past sealed bulkheads and reinforced corridors, until he reached the Dreadnought Vault.
The massive doors opened at his approach.
Inside, the chamber was quiet and cold. At its center stood the Dreadnought Valerius, locked in place by thick clamps and power restraints. A Tech-Priest stood nearby, adjusting instruments, whispering quiet prayers in machine cant.
The Tech-Priest heard the doors and turned.
"Lord Captain Gaius," he said, bowing slightly. His voice carried a faint mechanical tone.
"Wake the Dreadnought," Gaius said.
The Tech-Priest froze.
Only for a moment.
Then he moved at once.
Restraints disengaged. Systems powered on. Deep machinery came alive, filling the chamber with sound. The clamps released.
A heavy voice echoed through the vault.
"I am awakened."
Valerius straightened, his massive frame shifting into full readiness.
Gaius stepped forward.
"The Emperor's mission is here, brother Valerius."
The Tech-Priest bowed again and again, unable to contain himself.
"Miracle of the Omnissiah," he muttered. "Praise the Omnissiah."
Neither Gaius nor Valerius paid him any attention.
"I am ready," Valerius said, his voice steady. "Ready to purge the Emperor's foes."

In Another world.
The Takagi estate stood quiet under the night sky. Lights glowed softly from windows. Beyond the main grounds, houses were occupied again. People lived there now. Families. Survivors.
The apocalypse was over.... well at least for them.
The estate had become self-sufficient, growing food, generating power, supporting a growing community. A laboratory stood within the grounds, filled with scientists working day and night on a vaccine. Progress was slow, but real.
Saeko stood by a window, looking out at the stars.
When the mission appeared, she did not hesitate.
She accepted.
"This is my chance," she thought. "To become extraordinary, not just ordinary."

In another world, under a bright midday sun, Mindy moved quickly.
She accepted the mission without a second thought.
The first thing she did was wake her father.
Damon groaned as she shook his shoulder.
"What is it?" he muttered.
"I'm going to Stark," Mindy said.
That woke him up instantly.
"Do you need me to come?" he asked.
"No," she replied. "I'll be fine."
Damon nodded and lay back down. He trusted Tony. He trusted Mindy.
Since he knew Tony Stark was part of the same multiversal chat that Mindy was in.
Mindy suited up, packing her weapons carefully. Guns. Ammo. Katanas. and the suit, that Tony gifter her.
Outside, a black car waited.
Tony and Mindy had communicated beforehand. Before leaving, she needed his permission, especially if the mission would take days and she'd be gone. Tony agreed and arranged for Happy to take Mindy to his place while she was away.
Happy Hogan stepped out and opened the door with a grin.
"Lunch trip, right?" he joked.
Mindy smiled and got in.

In Konoha, Naruto was laying on his bed when the mission appeared.
He jumped up at once, springing into action. He swung his legs off the bed and headed to the small bathroom. After toweling off, he dressed in clean clothes and laced up his shinobi sandals, ready to move.
Within minutes, he was moving through the village, heading straight for the Hokage Tower. He entered through the window, as usual.
ANBU sensed him but did nothing.
Inside, Tsunade sat with her feet resting on the desk, a cup of sake in hand, while stacks of documents cluttered the surface before her.
Naruto pointed at her.
"Granny Tsunade! Why are you drinking again?!"
She woke up and punched him immediately.
"What do you know?!" she snapped.
Then she hid the bottle under the desk.
"Why are you here?" she asked clearly changing the subjects.
Naruto explained everything.
Her expression changed.
"No," she said. "That's too dangerous."
"I already accepted," Naruto said firmly.
She punched him again, sending him flying.
Then Tsunade called out for an ANBU. In an instant, the ANBU appeared before her and knelt respectfully. "Bring a scroll of ninja tools," she instructed, "and gather plenty of Military Ration Pills."
The ANBU nodded and vanished as quickly as he had arrived
Naruto stood, rubbing the back of his head, and spoke quietly to himself, aware that Tsunade had given her approval after hearing her request the supplies.
"I want to help Sister Diana this time."
Tsunade stepped in front of Naruto and raised her hands. For a moment, he tensed, expecting another punch, but he didn't dodge. Instead, her hands glowed with green medical chakra as she gently healed the lump on his head.
"Just be careful," she said with concern.
Naruto grinned, lifting his head toward Tsunade. "Of course! I'll be okay! I will be Hokage, dattebayo!"

P.S. Hey guys, I just want to say… currently, there are six members in the chat group: Gaius, Naruto, Tony, Mindy, Saeko, and Diana. I don't think I'll be adding anyone new for a long time, at least not for now. However, I'm planning to add a feature in the Multiversal Chat that will allow members to travel to another universe even if there's no one from that universe in the chat, so it can truly be called a multiversal chat.
A quick warning: I'm quite busy, and while the chat might go to various worlds, like, say, the Avatar universe, or Demon Slayer. I won't have time to analyze the movies or anime in full detail. I'll mostly be researching, so please forgive any discrepancies.
